      >> sounds good. ^^
      >> I just realized I switched perspectives in my last post. /facepalm. that's what I get for writing my nanowrimo in first person. x.x

Erin blinked hard as she heard two new voices enter the fray, one of them considerably more cross that the previous three. She tried to rise and see who these new people were. The shock or whatever was wearing off, and she thought she could move around more freely, albeit stiffly, like she'd been exercising for hours and hours the day previous.

She didn't muster up enough energy to fully stand, however. Erin only managed to get into a limp sitting position, her legs splayed out in front of her and her back bowing forward so her arms were folded between her legs like a rag doll. She was still breathing heavily. She quickly assessed her perpetrators. The man named Dean and the red head named Jo. Alice, the blonde. A new man with a distinctive scar running down across his face. Another guy that was crouching on the floor, apparently worn out. He seemed considerably more upset than everyone else in the room. And so far, it looked like Erin was the most disoriented.

By the time she had taken all of this in, these people had arranged some sort of agreement that Erin could only half follow because of her fatigue as well as her lack of knowledge on how to speak "lunatic". Still, she understood "tie up" and threats at the very least. She was vaguely relieved that she had something comprehensible to grasp on to.

"What's going on?" she demanded wearily, her voice sounding thin and weedy compared to everyone else. Most of them turned to her then.

"She's still tired," the redhead Jo accused Dean.

"She must be more bullheaded than we thought," Dean waved a hand. "That's even more proof she's the one we're looking for, isn't it?"

"We need to get moving," Alice reminded the group. The intimidating man grunted a little in agreement but otherwise didn't speak up. Erin decided she was most wary of him.

Jo stood for a moment in indecision before ordering the scarred man "Carry her" and turning on her heel and striding out, Alice and Dean following after. Erin took about two seconds too long to fully process what Jo said, and by that time he was already directly in front of her. Erin scrambled back a little bit and feebly squirmed, but her fatigue made her attempts laughable at best. The man easily scooped Erin up and slung her over his broad shoulder like a sack of potatoes. It took all Erin had to stay awake and not black out again. She glanced at the other guy that had appeared and blinked heavily, wondering if he was trustworthy or not. Judging by the situation, Erin was going to go with "no".

( Sorry, I've got the flu and so being the computer too long gives me a headache. )

Boone quickly decided that he didn't like the girl that was being carried off, the way that she looked at him settled that she thought that there was something about him that wasn't to like. That put off Boone, and made him become a bit annoyed with her, even if she had not spoken one word to him. But there were very few people that Boone could consider himself 'able to put up with' and even fewer people that he would consider himself close to. Everything was happening so quickly that he didn't suppose that he would grow to like any of these people, especially the man who had brought him here. He still didn't know why they needed him, and why whatever it seemed that they needed to do was so urgent. When he didn't move from his spot a harsh look was given to him by the man named Dean, and he knew that he would need to follow the group. So walking with a slight limp he hurried after them, thoughts still running amuck in his mind. He still didn't like this situation and he figured by this point nothing that any of these people said to him would make him like it anymore. It was clear that whatever intent that they had with him was probably not a good one, and Boone was no fool. He knew that he wouldn't go along with any foolish, stupid, and not bulletproof plan. Ironically he was normally seen as hot-tempered and reckless, being a brash man that often ran into things without thinking them through, just going on gut feelings. Perhaps that was why he did not like this, because it wasn't his reckless thoughts that were concerning him, but someone else's.

As they walked out of the room Boone found himself more confused. They were in some sort of warehouse, the windows in the room they were in were tainted and he found himself unable to notice any lights from the room other than the bright white warehouse like lights on the ceiling. In this room there were boxes of things that Boone had no clue of what nature they were form, only that some of them reeked. Poison most likely... This is probably were poison sellers come to do their bidding. His country was full of poison sellers and mercenaries, people that had no regard for human life. Even though Boone was more concerned with himself than anyone else even he had more respect for (most) people than to do something as stupid as using poison or hiring mercenaries. Just because he didn't like someone didn't (always) mean that he wanted them dead. He was glad he was not sadistic, that he had some regards for life and everything in it. There was so much evil in this world, he just couldn't even begin to comprehend it.

When they got to the warehouse exit he saw another man sitting on one of the boxes, he had grey hair, and dull green eyes. He looked up when he saw the others coming, and stood quickly. "The others are waiting outside in the van, we were beginning to think that you guys weren't going to be coming back." He rubbed his neck with his hand. His eyes briefly narrowing when he looked at the girl that was being carried. "What's wrong with this one?"

"It's not 'this one' Rupert, it's science." The younger girl Jo retorted. "And she's messed up from the transportation." Science? He still wasn't understanding why this girl was being called science and he faith. What were they thinking? It made no sense to him but he decided that he was going to keep his mouth shut.

The other woman stepped forward, "did you guys make sure that the camp was secure?" Her voice seemed annoyed with having to ask, but she probably felt that she needed to.

The man named Rupert nodded. "Me and Ari checked everything through ourselves, it's safe for their arrival."

Without another word everyone walked out of the warehouse, the outside was a forest. A rocky road was a few feet from the entrance. On it a older looking blue van stood. He was ushered through the back of the van and when the back was opened he saw that it was all empty space behind the front two seats. He the weak girl, the other two women and the scarred man got in the back together. Dean got into the passengers seat, and Rupert got into the driver's seat. Starting up the truck, and soon having them driving down the bumpy road.

"Our camp is in the woods," Dean explained, "we have to keep out of view from the cities." Oh great, Boone thought. He was going to be trapped in the woods with a bunch of freaks.

Excellent.

      >> oof, sucks. take your time, then! ^^''

Erin gave up about two thirds through the short journey that she was better off biding her time, since it seemed like she wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone here. She still had no idea what was going on.

From what she heard--it didn't help that all she was looking at was a patch of floor--there was another new person. Awesome, more lunatics. How many more of these people were there going to be? Erin felt her chances of escape go right down the drain. They kept referring to her as "science" and, as far as she could tell, the other guy that was limping after the group "faith". That didn't make any more sense than everything else, so Erin bitterly resigned herself to just going with it for now.

Erin gritted her teeth as her carrier lumbered into the back of a van, nearly hitting her head on the side of the door. This just wasn't her day was it? The group filled up the back and Erin was unceremoniously dumped onto the floor of the car.

"What the hell," she muttered to herself, too tired to really put up much of an argument. Jo gave one for her, however, telling Liam to "stop being such a big ape" and "handle her with care". What was she, a porcelain doll?

The van rumbled and started off down the road, bumping and shaking along with the ridges in the trail. Erin tried not to move too much. Her head was already pounding.

Eventually, the van came to a halt. The trunk opened up and the driver growled at them, "Time to get out" and would've dragged Erin out if she didn't flop out herself. She stumbled a little on the pine needled ground, but she was able to hold herself up and take a few unsteady steps. Okay, now how was she going to escape?

When the truck stopped Boone wondered what was going to become of him. The young man held his stance of one of pride and of a rocky front, but in truth deep within him the little boy inside of him was freaking out. He still didn't know what these people wanted from him, and they didn't seem like the friendliest people around, now did they? He was frightened for his own sake and what was going to happen to him. He seriously did not want to die, and if these people intended to do something that involved torture or death with him he wasn't going to just go through with it easily. In fact why would he even wait around for something awful to happen to him? He needed to get out of here - now. But how? Could he run for it? Would it be too risky? No, he had to take a chance with something, and this was his best shot, he needed to get out of here and make them loose his trail. He could do this.. He could do this....

As the doors opened and he got out, he bolted it, running as quick as he could away from the parked van. "Get him!" He heard someone cry as he dashed his way through the trees. They won't be able to catch me, I'll best them yet! His thoughts were filled with determination and the thrill of being on the run from his captors. Still as he was just getting sure of himself he heard something running up from behind him. Turning his head to see he saw a large black bear running through the trees after him. On it's shoulder there was a red crest moon, the sign of a shapeshifter. One of his captors chasing after him no doubt. Cursing to himself he knew that he to would have to use magic if he was to escape. Spinning around he held out his hands in flattened V shape, and closing his eyes for a brief moment spoke the words of the magi lords. When his eyes reopened a large spiral of purple and blue jetted from his hands, the sign of spirit magic. He was normally not good at such arts, but they were useful against shapeshifters.

The bear snarled in pain as the bolts hit him, making him stand on his hind legs in agony. He roared out his claws clashing through the empty air as he fell back onto his back. As he did so he changed back into his regular form. The driver man - Rupert. A sneer fell onto Boone's face, feeling like he had just destroyed the last barrier between himself and freedom. But as he spun around to continue his run away something flashed onto his hands and legs, something tight that made him fall on his gut onto the ground. With a moanhe felt the tight embrace of metal around his limbs, and looking down he managed to see chains tightened around him. Clearly the shifter had not been the only one that had been after him. A couple of seconds later he saw the scarred man Louis wak out from the trees. A very victorious look was on his face as he walked over and stood over his chained body. He thought he heard the man chuckle, and that made goosebumps crawl onto Boone's skin. There was no hope for him now, he was going to be the puppet of whatever the hell they needed him for.

He was going to be removed from freedom.

"Now, now, you didn't think that you could run off and leave the party did you?" The man laughed, as he reached down, grabbing one of Boone's arms and hauling the man onto his feet. "That wouldn't have been any fun would have it?" He began to walk Boone back to where the others were, Boone deciding not to struggle and instead just felt like dead wait and allowed himself to be dragged along. It took them a few minutes to get back, and when they did he noticed that everyone in camp seemed to have a strange expression. Was it fear? Anger? Sadness? It was something that he couldn't gather onto. There was something very strange going on here, something that he was yet to understand. These people really seemed desperate to keep him here, and a couple of their faces held the glaze of a mother who's child had just ran away from home. That alone should have told him that this place was messed up.

The young girl Jo stepped forward, "what were you thinking?!" Her voice flustered and angered. "Do you know how dangerous it is to just run off into the forest like that?" Because they seemed so worried about his safety before. "There are dangerous animals, and even worse people in these woods. To run off into them without thinking is wrong! I can see now that you're going to be a troublesome case, aren't you faith? Well I suppose we're going to have to teach you how to behave." What was that? This younger girl was going to teach him how to behave? Even after everything that had just happened, and the fact that she had her merry bunch had just kidnapped him. Yes, all this made so much sense! What the hell was really going on here? Something that Boone knew would bite him in the ass if he continued to go along with. Something needed to be done, and soon. But it was clear that running away wasn't much of an option.

Roughly he was walked down across the rocky path by Louis and through a couple of trees, there he saw was a camp. There was a small cabin, probably no more than two people able to live in there at a time without it getting crowded. By the cabin there were four tents, a fire in the middle of the camp. There were sacks surrounding the camp, no doubt filled with food or something else that was needed to survive. There were a few more people in the camp, people that seemed happy when they saw his face. These people really can't get much weirder now can they? His thoughts mused. Louis pushed him along quickly until he was brought over to a tree on the right side of the camp. With a quick flick of his wrist the chains not only tied around Boone himself but around the trunk of the tree. So that he was tied there. Struggling to move a bit he realized that there was no hope that he was just going to have to go along with it for the time being.

"Welcome to your new home, pup." Louis chuffed. "You're going to be staying here for awhile."

That's just amazing...

Erin jumped as the other guy bolted past her, disappearing into the woods. Gee, Erin thought scornfully, thanks for waiting. Although she had to admit that there was no reason he would wait for her anyway, seeing as neither of them seemed to trust the other, it would've been nice to have someone who was in the same general plight as she: not knowing what the hell was going on.

"Get him!" Jo shouted, her voice commanding. Somewhere behind her, someone swore quickly before there was a sharp tearing sound along with sounds that sounded like bones breaking. Erin whirled to find the source and completely fell back onto the ground as a lumbering bear came straight for her. To her amazement, it bounded right over her and streaked after the other guy, tearing apart trees and underbrush as it went.

"Will he catch him?" Dean asked skeptically. The rustling sounds became fainter and there was a distant roar of a bear.

"Liam," Jo ordered, "go after them."

"Aye, aye," Liam drawled before strolling off a few steps toward the trees, casual and carefree, before light crawled up his legs and through his body. The light flashed and burst quickly before fading, and by then he was already gone.

"He'll get him," Jo was confident.

Erin sat in the leaves, dumbfounded. How was she supposed to react to all of this? She shivered and tried to work herself into a standing position so she could preserve some of her dignity, but honestly she was still trying to get over the turned-into-a-bear detail. Finally finding her voice, she asked hoarsely, "What's going on?"

Jo, Dean, nor Alice seemed to hear her, so she repeated, stronger now, "What's going on?"

Jo turned to look at her then. Her gaze became slightly more sympathetic, but her answer wasn't helpful at all. "We'll tell you soon. Just be patient, okay?"

Erin didn't appreciate being patronized by a child, but by then there were distinct jangles of metal on metal and more rustling shrubbery. Erin and the others looked up to see Liam pushing the other guy into the camp, now chained. Immediately, Jo went forward and told him off, which Erin found vaguely amusing only because he seemed so indignant that a kid was telling him what he should and shouldn't do. For some reason, though, Erin decided that she didn't want to know what Jo's form of "teaching" was.

Liam began to usher the guy down the trail, and everyone else began to move that way too. Alice put a cold hand on the small of Erin's back and gave her a nudge. "Come on, now."

Gritting her teeth, Erin obediently stepped forward. It was better than being stuck in a knot of chains. They eventually arrived to the campsite, cabins and tents with other people whose faces lit up at the sight of the group. Erin glanced around as the other guy was pushed against a tree and unceremoniously bound to it by Liam. They exchanged a few words but Erin wasn't really paying attention.

"You can stay in the cabin with me," Jo offered kindly, although Erin was pretty sure it wasn't exactly an extension of kindness. She glanced toward the guy chained to the tree.

"He'll be fine," Jo promised Erin. "Don't worry."

"I'm worried about me, not him," Erin muttered bitterly. If Jo heard her, she gave no indication, only took her forearm and led her to the cabin. Along the way, other campers raised their hands in greeting and treated Erin like an old friend. "Which one are you?" they would ask, and Jo would answer for her, "Science." A few would bright up and a few would frown and look dubiously at the guy strapped to the tree.

Eventually, the pair of them made it to the cabin, the interior divided into multiple rooms and the lighting sources candles in frosted glass hanging from the ceiling. It was both warm and dank inside. Jo led her to the main living room, where there was a long couch with a patterned quilt. Jo sat down and indicated Erin should as well, so she did, and Jo sighed and smiled faintly. "You must have tons of questions."

      "You could say that, yeah."

      >> k I have class so yeah there's my post ><

For a couple of minutes Boone didn't do anything, he didn't move, just looked around the camp, trying to understand anything more about these people. Try to understand why he was brought here. But by the end of his little guessing session things still were no clearer to him. In fact things only seemed to be getting more and more troubling the more he thought about it. There has to be something that I'm missing, something that explains it all.... Or maybe they're just crazy and there's no purpose to this at all, just for amusement... For some reason he didn't believe this to be the case though, there was something much more than he could gather going on, he could sense that. But what was it? Why did they need him? He was starting to get stressed out looking for his answers and he hoped that sooner than later that he would get some of them filled out. But as the moments passed the only thing that he got from people were weary stares and whispers, Boone was beyond caring right now though, all he wanted to do was to understand why the things were happening as they were, and why it had to be him. Suddenly things like hunting down Andre, or making sure he got his revenge didn't matter anymore, the only thing that counted was to him to find out why he had been taken, and for him to make a run for it. He knew now though that running away was going to be a difficult task, even beyond his form being bound to the tree. These people seemed to want him here quite badly and seemed to do a lot to make sure that he didn't leave. They weren't going to give him even the slighest chance to get away- he knew that now.

Finally after what seemed like an enternity someone walked over to him, it was a boy probably only about eleven who like his first captor with a flick of his wrist the chains undid themselves from the tree and kept him on a short leash. "Jo's going to want to talk to you, about what's going on." Though Boone- probably more stronger than the small boy, easily could have tried to evade the grasp he didn't, what would be the point? He would still have to get through everyone else, and by the previous events that was much easier said than done. He was no fool, and he wasn't going to repeat the same silly ideal over twice. "You know we are a lot more friendly than you think," the boy looked at him with light green eyes. "But you need to be willing to give us a chance." A chance? These people had kidnapped him, and this little kid thought that he was going to give them a chance? No, these people were lunatics in his eyes now, and there would be nothing that could be said or done that would make him think otherwise. He didn't believe in second chances, unless they were about him. Everyone else only got one chance to prove themselves to him, and after that they were left with whatever thoughts he had imprinted on them.

These people were freaks. Enough said.

When he was brought over into the cabin he saw the other captive and the girl known as Jo. The girl looked at him and motioned to the boy for a second, which he supposed made the boy tighten the chains around his form, probably making sure that there would be no way for him to escape. With that the little boy looked at him again, a look of near sorrow in his eyes and then walked out of the cabin, shutting the door behind him. As the door creeked shut Boone's eyes narrowed as he glared at the the other two in the room. He didn't know what was to be said, or how he was even going to be able to ask everything that was on his mind, but there had to be somewhere to start. He was going to find out what was going on- and he was going to find out now.

"What do you want with me?" He growled as he looked at Jo the unmistakable look of pure hatred in his eye. "Why did you bring me here?" During speaking he was also wrestling with the chains that were on him, they hurt a fair deal and he hated the cold burning of the chain against his raw flesh. Though as he rubbed his skin against it it only worsened the small shocks of pain that would go through him every time that he struggled with it.

The girl glanced at him and then at the female captive. "You see that's a very complicated question. There are many reasons for us bringing the both of you here, none of them are very easily to explain." The girl did actually look fairly confused and puzzled on how she was going to tell them what was going on. "You see first off the most important thing to understand is that there has always been two worlds." Oh wow, they really are disturbed and insane people... "These two worlds have always lived in.. semi-harmony.. Until a little while back when both worlds sort of went towards each other at a collasion rate. Because of this the worlds tried to find something that would make sure that they didn't hit. Namely the both of you." Okay now this was just pure insanity. "But you see it appears that the both of you, Science and Faith are not enough to stop the worlds from colliding and though your presence slowed down the pace the worlds are still very much so close to hitting one another and well..." The girl trailed off, looking down as if she didn't want to think about what happened. "So we here have decided that we would make sure that the worlds did not collide, and in doing so needed the help of you both considering that you two are what have been holding the worlds apart for years now."

Boone couldn't even talk, mainly because this was just so crazy and far-fetched. So he remained silent looking up at the girl as she walked nearer to both his form and the other woman's.

"So," she said. "Will you help us?"

"Yes, sure!" Erin cried out with much too much pep. "Why don't I just help the people with a guy that changes into a mother f-ck-ng bear and a guy that can suck you into the ground and make you feel like you've had the worst hangover ever? Why don't I just bend right over backwards for you guys?" Erin internally was freaking out, telling herself to calm down before she got herself killed, but the frustrated, indignant words were spilling out now, because Erin was just kidnapped, sucked through a wormhole or some sh-t, and was spat up in a place where some guy could just transform into a grizzly like "whatever".

"I'm telling you the truth," Jo said wanly. "I know it's a lot to take in, Science, but--"

"Don't call me that!" Erin exploded. "My name is Erin Beauvoire! I'm not Science or whoever the hell I am. I don't even believe in magic." Although, ironically, Erin had considered the accuracy of String Theory and the existence of other dimensions--but there was no need to tell Jo that.

"I know what your name is," Jo said patiently. "I also know that you're from a family of four, that your mother is dying from breast cancer, that there is no science in the world that can save her now, and that you were on your way back to your home to pay your last respects before she passed."

Erin froze, shock and anger pumping through her as she glared at Jo's cool face.

"Kid," Erin said seriously, "you just burned your last bridge." Erin and her mother had one of the strongest bonds in the world, and that was no exaggeration. They did everything together, confided in each other, and were more like sisters and best friends rather than daughter and mother. And now her other half was dying and there was nothing that her M.D. could do about it. All Erin could do was sit back--but at the very least she could punch this teen for crossing the damn line.

But when Erin advanced, Jo reached into her pocket and pulled out a cell phone. At first, Erin thought that maybe she was going to call in Liam or something, but instead, the phone completely deconstructed and for a moment Erin could see the sheen of metal bits and the computers chips and wiring twisting and whirring like some sort of clockwork before it reconstructed into a very elegant, very lethal looking weapon that she pointed towards Erin.

"Don't make me hurt you, Science," Jo whispered threateningly. Erin swallowed and eyed the point of the weapon warily.

"If you help us," Jo said, "then I promise we'll help your mom--but only if you're successful."

"Are you seriously vying for my loyalty by blackmailing with my mother's life?" Erin said with scorn.

"I was hoping I didn't have to," Jo admitted, "but I will and am because I have to."

Erin, helpless, relaxed. For one thing, she wasn't getting anywhere near this girl with that charged knife in her hand, and for another, if the doctors [all eight of them] were right, her mother was going to die anyway. So what was wrong with just throwing it all away and just see what works? Her only regret, though, was that she would not be able to say goodbye.

      "What do I do?"

"Well, we have to see what Faith wants, or nothing will happen at all." Jo turned to the guy in chains expectantly. "Well? What's your decision?"

Privately, Erin didn't think chaining him up and binding him to a tree were the best ways to convince someone to join their side, so she hoped Jo had some dirt on him, too. From the sound of things, Erin's mom didn't have a sliver of a chance of being helped by one of the freaks out there unless this guy came into the deal too--so Erin stood on Jo's one side and gave the guy a hard glare, willing him, imploring him to accept. This was long past times of dignity and pride for Erin.

      >> sorry for shortness. I've stayed up late like all week x.x

Re: 1x1 with an asian to the knee

Boone darkly muttered while he listened to the conversation unfold between the two, he didn't say anything only watched with intrigued eyes, trying to figure out what all of this meant, what these people's angles were, and what they wanted with him. When the girl turned and asked him what he thought of it, and if he would help them his face fell. Why should he help these people? What did they have that could make him even consider joining their ranks? Both his parents were dead, and he didn't have any siblings, and so they wouldn't be able to use family as something against him like they had done with the woman. He was glad that they didn't have something so personal over his head and so he would be able to freely choose what his decision would be without blackmailing or influence of any kind. But he was so wrong about this, because what the girl said next shocked him down to the very core.

"We have a lot of force you know, we know magic that has died out for years and we know how to execute perfect plans for assassinations and raids. If you help us than we'll help you take down the Force, we'll help you make sure that you expose the people and what they did to you. We'll make sure that everyone that you're trying to kill now is dead before you can even blink an eye. But like what I said with Science, this will only happen if you agree to what we say, and everything goes according to plan." It was certainly a tempting offer, the thought of Andre and all the others who had wronged him being brought down would be glorious. He would be ranked as one of the top officials in the city after that, and everyone would make sure that he was given the apology he deserved. Oh, how terrific it would be! He was working oh so hard to make sure that the job was done, but if these people could offer him a way to do it for him, and he could still play hero - well that seemed to be one of the best deals in the world.

He sighed inwardly, "it depends on what you want me - us, to do." He said he still didn't trust his girl (clearly) and he didn't know if she was buffing or not. For all he knew this could be some sly idea for them both to be hauled into some organized mafia where they would be used as live-bait. He didn't want that, he wouldn't do anything to slink that low. "But if what you say is true I'll consider it. Again, depending on what you want me to do."

Jo shook her head, "this is classified information. If you decide not to agree to our terms we wouldn't be able to let you go afterwards. What you're going to hear may be... disturbing... And what we ask is a great deal, so we need you to agree or disagree before we start spilling everything to you." To Boone that just seemed like a cheap way of making sure that she got what she wanted. Obviously he was curious by this point of why these people were acting as insane as they were, and he wanted to know what their motive was. But if he didn't agree he would just be sent off with nothing. Would I even be sent off, or would they kill me? It was a good thought of what might happen, they weren't a sane bunch and it would be no surprise that they might just want to kill him for the fact that he didn't do what they wanted him to. But he did seem like he was important to them for some reason, because they had clearly wanted him alive before... But these people didn't seem to have any thought pattern, nor did they have any qualities that might not prove them as mental. These were conflicting thoughts that seemed to hurt his mind the more that he thought about them. What was he going to do?

Grumbling to himself under his breath he was trying to work out everything outloud, though barely heard to anyone else but him. Finally what after to him seemed like forever he looked up at girl his eyes angry at what he was given a choice at. "Fine," he spat gruffly. "I'll play your silly little games- for now. But don't expect me to stay around if you try to do some crazy-ass things on me. I do have standards, unlike you people." This translates into- 'okay. Just tell me what happens next?'
