If I remember right, it should be under user settings somewhere. ((It has been so long since I did it... //fails))
If I was at my computer, I would screen cap it for you, but I am on my phone in my car waiting to work at my friends haunted house. XDDD
I got a few minutes before I begin. //ends spam

Try looking through the board settings and let me know. I am going to see if I can find it on my phone for you.

How do you paste something like a picture, that you can use free?

If you mean copying and pasting a picture from an outside source, you are unable to do this.

For editables, all you have to do is go to the editables section in oekaki, find the one you want to color and click 'color in'

i have a lot of questions about the oekaki:

.where do i find the bbc codes for my drawings?
.how do i lable my layers?
.why is everybody i see better than me, i mean there pets have shiny eyes and it is like a normal hand drawn pencil drawing with some special computer featers?
.how do i make my things shine?

1. To get the BBCode for your drawing, do this (you can use this for any image):
To post an image, right click on the desired picture, choose "copy image location/address/url" or if you're using Internet Explorer, go to properties and copy the url from there. Then paste and put [img]and[/img]-tags around it. C:

Code: Select all

2. To label your layers, doubleclick on them, and a box for writing should appear. ^^

3. If you want to improve on your art, you just need to practise a lot and keep on drawing - you might feel like you're not making progress, but the more you draw, the better you get at it, and I'm sure you'll see a difference even in a few months. ^^ There's no tricks to becoming a "good" artist (it's very subjective), just draw a lot, and even if it sounds boring or annoying, be at least sometimes open to criticism - that way others can tell you what you need to pay more attention to. c: You can also search for tutorials on different things on sites like Deviantart. If you need people to ask for tips and crits, you might like Artist Army - be sure to read the thread's rules though and comment on the art pieces of others as well. ^^

4. I don't think there's one answer to this, but you just add lighter color on the parts you want to shine more. You can also try using soft brush and lower the opacity or make a whole new layer for the shine, so that you can try different blending modes for the layer and play with the opacity settings. c:

I have a lot of answers. ;)

1- I just right click on the drawing and copy the code that way. ((Don't really know the difference between bbc codes and regular urls/codes.
2- this question has been answered a few pages back, but you would simply double click on the name of the layer (EX: 'Layer 1' or 'Layer 6') you then type in what you want to call the layer and hit the enter button on your keyboard.
3- you need to have more confidence in yourself and PRACTICE. You are not going to get any better complaining about it. This is probably one of my biggest pet peeves about artists and people who want to improve. They don't show initiative. I was terrible at oekaki when I first started drawing. Then I found different techniques that best suited my style in oekaki and blossomed from that point on.
4- again, finding your own technique is best. The dodge tool usually helps as well as looking up some easy tips on lighting and shading. For me, I usually put a darker filter over the entire image and on a separate layer, on TOP of the filter, I would go over it with an off white color ((depending on the added hue of the entire image) and then use the dodge tool to brighten up those high lights ever so slightly.

**EDIT**
Oh lol Tuike, you beat me to it! Lol. Ninja poster. ;)
