( That's awesome actually because I was kinda hoping to be the man of faith. )
Boone had seen a lot in his life, a lot of strange things, why wouldn't he? The Dominican of Adaer was a strange place, well only for those who hadn't grown up in this world, for those who lived within it was as simple and natural as could get. Powers and mutants were common here, not everyone poccessed the power of being able to have magic, but most did. Adaer was a large colony containing the Western World Provinces. Most of the country was woodland and forest, for those who wished to learn about their magic in secretly and peacefulness. However Adaer had a few massive cities as well, tall skycrapers and buildings that seemed like they were about to touch the sky. Cars were only common for the wealthy to have, everyone else had to walk by foot to get where they were needed. But than again a car cost nearly forty gold. More than some would make in a lifetime. A major city in the world, and capital of Adar was Blotiney, containing over six million people it was full of chance, as well as fail. Boone knew that well enough as well.
The taller man was walking down the sidewalk in North Blotiney, one of the busiest places within the city. Hundreds of people walked down the road ignoring each other as was what they were used to doing. Boone however took note of everyone he saw, because he needed to find one person in particular.
"Butch, you there?" His left hand reaching for his ear he held the 'on' button for his blue-tooth similar phone. "I can't find him, you sure you've got the cordinates correct?"
It took a second for a voice in reply to him, "yeah I'm sure. We've even had wittnesses say they've seen him around here... But Boone, you sure you're okay with-"
"I'm fine with it." Boone snapped as he frowned, "I'll check back in later." With an irriated sigh to released the button and began to search once again. The person he was looking for was Andre Phoneix an ex-colleage of his when he had been working with the Task Force. The Task Force were the people who put limits on magic and on where magic and techology could mix. He had enjoyed his job since he began it at nineteen but in the previous year he had been excused for his duty on accord of him using illgeal magic. This of course was not true, Andre had in fact been the one who had been using magic abusively against suspects of crime. Though the evidence was not there to back Boone up, and so he lost his job and his future. He wasn't the only one though, many others had been released from the Task Force unwillingly and without cause, all saying for the same reason- the Task Force were using magic illgeally and as soon as they brought it to a superior's attention everything went downhill. Because of this a group of others like he had gathered, they knew what was happening, the Task Force was slowly but surely claiming over Adaer and possibly someday would have the entire world under their dication. So the WFS or the White Fox Society were rebelling against them, secertly of course. When call came that Andre had been expectantly causing trouble once more he took no time in accepting the mission to assassinate him. It was the duty of his work, and plus it would make him feel a hell of a lot better.
A few more minutes past as he continued his search, he had been searching for what three, four hours? He was beginning to get tried and annoyed, if something didn't happen soon...- As if he had jinxed it suddenly his sights were caught on one person, bulky and broad and a deeper tan colored skin, wearing thick black sunglasses and a mafia-looking black and red suit. Andre...
Quickly, and without thinking he darted towards the man, clearly Andre must have noticed because his eyes widdened and he took off running away from Boone's charging figure. Dashing through the crowd and possibily pushing people over neither man cared, they only cared about running. It was about thirty seconds until Andre darted left into an alleyway, Boone on his trail like lightning. But that was when his life was about to take a giant turn.
Suddenly something smacked him roughly on the back of the head, the impact making him trip up in his own feet and fall flat on the ground. With a groan he pushed himself up, dizzy but surely. But it was no matter Andre had already escaped through the next exit and was gone far off.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit!" He cursed bitterly, shoving himself up on his bleeding palms. He turned to see what had hit him, but was surprised with what he saw. A very form looking man, dressed in a wrinkle-free suit, rough black hair that was held back with gel, and a startling scar running down from his left eye to his chin. There was a fair sized rock lying on the ground near to Boone and one like it in the man's hand.
The man took a step forward, making Boone take a step back. "Who the hell are you?" He hissed, "what the hell do you want?!"
"Tut-tut such anger, that man is not worth your time, man of faith." He spoke formally and directly, confusing Boone.
"Who. Are. You." He desperately held back his temper, "what. Do. You. Want."
The man smiled a grin that sent shivers down Boone's spine. "I am Louis, and I'm here to take you with me."
A billion thoughts ran rampant in Boone's mind. "No, go mind your own damn business."
"It wasn't a question." The man said, his voice now slightly more littered in bitter and darkness. Before Boone could react the man reached out to him, and like a flash they both vanished.
