I would like to adopt!
This is my first time adopting here with the word limit rule; I am interested to see how I do. As you surely know by now, I am an author. I am the scribe of my characters; the documenter of their lives. Never before have I come across a character like Void. I can only imagine the things I’ll be able to write about him; he’s the type of character that I could write a million books about and still not be satisfied. It’s ironic that many people here look at Void and see an evil, dark character; I only see a troubled, kind soul. I hope that I shall win this unique, amazing fox, for the possibilities of what I could do with him seem endless. The chance to write a series about the bearer of a galaxy is one in a million, and I pray that this form will be enough to assure you that Void would be going to the best home possible.
Number: Five.

Name: Voided Abyss
Species: Galaxy Fox
I am a galaxy. You try to hide your laughter at this, I can see it. You believe me to be mad, insane perhaps. Nevertheless, my mind is clear and true. You rely on science for your answers, to calm your fears and answer your questions. When will you look beyond the man in the white coat, to the world and spacious darkness beyond? It is because you are scared. It is much easier to spend your life searching for facts than to simply believe. You have a heart, yes. Where I have a heart there is a sun. A sun providing light to the galaxy that is I, causing the foliage of my planets to bear fruit and to help the creatures that survive within me prosper. Some of them sing praises to a sun god. Others, like you, deny it all. My heart, a sun, beats and keeps me alive, just as it keeps those who dwell within me alive. You believe that you are the most intelligent creature ever created. Now it is my turn to hide my laughter. You stupid creature, your self-righteousness shall lead to your downfall. Your ignorant scientists have decided that all of the planets hang suspended in "Dark Matter." They do not know the truth. They make up things like that to sound holy and all knowing, and so that creatures like you believe. That "Dark Matter" is I. My fur, my organs and intestines; that is what it is. Do you see the spherical shapes on my tail and body? Those are moons, reflecting the light of the sun, my heart, which pulses within me. I am not a god. You are my burden. It is painful to be the keeper of you creatures; I feel your deaths and your sadness. Yet I feel your joy and passion. When I breathe, oxygen pumps through your planets, bringing you life. Yet instead of thanking me, you choose to ignore me and the fact that I live. Someday, I pray that what I do for you and the creatures of your kind will be worth it.
Personality: Voided Abyss is not cruel. He is not evil, nor is he bloodthirsty. He is simply troubled. Void can often be found worrying about the afterlife; his greatest fear is to simply stop existing when his sun burns out. Though he knows that humans and other creatures have an afterlife, he wonders if there is one for him, and all of the others like him. Void is very intelligent, and spends much time pondering different aspects of his life. He can be very stubborn at times, and has a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. He is overall fairly friendly, and wishes harm to no one.
Likes: Void likes many things; the feeling of the white-hot sun on his fur, and the black velvety ground beneath his paws. He enjoys running with his close friend Way, whom he loves more than life itself. He treasures those in his galaxy who believe beyond science, and the times of peace between the planets that he is forced to hold.
Dislikes: Void hates scientists and others who try to convince the humans that science is the key to everything, and that believing in anything beyond its realms is foolish. He also dispises the imposters among the galaxy foxes who thirst for the blood of their brethren.
Background:
Galaxy Foxes are not born the way normal foxes are. When a Galaxy Fox reaches twenty years of age; the sun at its center divides; and half floats from it. The orb of light slowly takes shape; turning into a new galaxy. This is the way that Void was created; as was his daughter, Dark Matter. Therefore, when a galaxy takes a mate; it is a purely emotional and mental relationship; as opposed to a physical one. Void was born in this way to a large handsome male, a prosperous, peaceful galaxy. When Void formed, he was dubbed with the name Voided Abyss, because at the time, that was what he was. Not a galaxy, but a dark chasom with nothing at the center. Thankfully, overtime a galaxy formed inside of him, yet his name remained unchanged. The galaxy he waadvanced very quickly, and it wasn't long before the practical beliefs of science took over the population. All who believed beyond science were exterminated, leaving no one who cared or wondered about the existance of Void. War engulfed them, and s burdened with, however, was not a matter to rejoice over. The humans on the many planets grew scientifically Void became the bearer of one of the most violent galaxies ever known. Because of the pain and suffering Void was forced to live with everyday, he soon began to develop questions and worries about his own afterlife, and what would happen to him when his sun went out.
Way, being short for Milky Way, was perhaps the only galaxy who was able to release him at times from the claws of anxiety, and was one of the few that Void trusted. They shared a close bond of friendship, and Void often dreamed of becoming mates with her. His dreams were soon cut short. Throughout the ages, there have always been murderous souls, who lived only to hurt and kill. It just so happened that four of those souls lived with the galaxy foxes, pretending to be like the others. It was impossible to know who they were. At night when the galaxies rested they would choose their victims and murder them. The next morning, no one would have any clue as to who they were, since they commited their crimes stealthily. Not only did they kill a galaxy fox, but they killed an entire galaxy, millions upon millions of people left to die because their sun had gone out. They all lived with the fear of never waking up. It was not unexpected when Milky Way's corpse was found one morning. Her soul did not move on to the next life. Instead, she lingered, never speaking, yet always there, appearing only to Void. It was only because of her spirit that he was able to live through the dark days that followed. After her death, Void commited himself to finding her murderers and bringing them to justice.
The place in which Void lived was a strange place indeed. Everything was black; the ground, the sky, the foliage. Only the bright white sun was of a different color. Across the dark ground he walked, slinking beneath the shadows. He winced when he felt a sudden jarring inside of him; wondering new type of bomb the humans had managed to come up with. He continued walking after a moment, thrashing his four tails from time to time. He knew that there was someone else there. Out of the shadows emerged another galaxy. She had lovely white fur, and there was a pale blue glow about her, the same color as her eyes. Way. A wave of greif washed over him as he met the gaze of the female he had once loved. Her spirit stepped beside him, and brushed her muzzle against his. Void felt warmth spread through him, and his fears soon were dimuted. When he began walking again, she stayed by his side, her own tails brushing his from time to time. What am I looking for? He truely didn't know, even though he had been searching for hours. He met his gaze as he walked along, wondering if he could find the answer in her pale blue eyes. All that was there was affection and sadness. She then turned and vanished from sight, her spirit leaving him. Suddenly Void knew. Her killers, they were who he was searching for. Revenge. He closed his eyes for a moment, hatred swelling up inside of him. I'll find them Way, I promise.
