I'm concidering making this animal here, the Kali, a new species of the same family as the smili. They would be basicly the same thing, but smaller and lightweight, built for speed (they run like hares do), mostly nocturnal, diet of insects, birds, frogs and small rodents... Well and some other things. They will behave much like the smili do and the colour scheme will be similar (and determined by habitat). They will be as intellegent as smili and possibly interact with them.
The thing is that they don't look like smili very much. They have much of the original anathomy left, like the tail and the split ears, handlike paws, but other than that they look more like oppossums than cats. Possibly if I explain the diffrences very well... :|
The multiple eyes thing is a recent mutation and isn't stabilized in the kali population yet. It might die out or stabilize, but as it is now they will probably mostly come in regular one pair of eyes.
The ears will have a similar function to the smili face markings, they can fluff the ears up to look frigthening (made some really neat sketches of that), and they will have fancy markings on both the face and ears for extra effect.

The thing I need to know is if anyone would adopt one? before I go through all the hassle typing up a species description for these I need to know if it'll be worth it.

If I make a thread for them it'll be a copy of this one. There'll probably be breedings and stuff as well as adoptable adults.

Spotty I have a question.. its pertaining my form as to the enemy/protagonist, I am uncertain as to whether smili's would find a dog as a good enemy?

Would it be a smili and a dog being enemies? Well, a smili could possibly hold a grunge aginst a dog, but a enemy? Like rivals, or more of a war-like situation? If it's a war that is a little advanced for smili, and very much so for a dog. Um, mostly I'd imagene a smili seeing the dog as to puny to be an enemy. Dog can be pet, food, or annoying (and then it'd be food anyway). It would probably depend on how you depicted the dog, I don't know if they make enemies like people do.

Thank you very much Kam! <3

Lol I was think more of a deep hate relation ship because of the breed of the dog, but I wasn't sure because original the dog breed was bred to chase away lions (and other big cats) so I thought that the same concept would work here.

Oh, that kind of dog. Smili are a bit larger and tougher as a lion, but a pack of visious dogs could probably bring a lonely smili down. Well, if, for example a relative of a smili was killed by a certain kind of animal it is possible that the smili would hate that kind of animal for the rest of it's life, yes.
