WELCOME;
Cursed chime kois are a fish-y, canine-like creature that inhabits areas of China. They always have at least 1 of three accessories on or with them; a large set of bells, a set of prayer beads, or a long scroll. Their bodies are smooth in some areas and furry in others. They have scales on their hind legs and the shoulder area. Their noses are scale-like. Male have long whiskers coming off the area above their eyes.
LEGEND;
Hundreds of years ago, in the woods of China, a shrine to a river spirit was destroyed by ruffians. The spirit, no longer being held in by the solid rock, leaked out. It took up a solid form once it hit the river that ran about 100 feet from the shrine. The form it took up had a very thin and lanky canine like body since the first ground it hit was forest earth, scales and whiskers like a fish, a tail like a flowing river, prayer beads that had been hanging on the shrine, and bells that a ruffian dropped that caught onto it when it was not yet in solid form. The creature ran from its shrine, into the deepest parts of the forest which were swamp-like, yet still solid and beautiful. The creature discovered an island in the middle of the area, an island surrounded by stunning water. On the island was a clear stone. The creature gave some of its life to the stone, therefore creating another of its kind. This is said to be where they can be found today.
The creatures, though, fell under a curse. The spirit was not meant to escape its shrine and, by doing so, disturbed fate. They say one of the gods of fate took action against the irritating water spirits and made them destined to hold a scroll that signified what they had done. Also, the god made their bodies thicker and their tail heavier so that they may not be able to swim well. The breed was cursed in such a way, and remains the same today.
