Chelz wrote:Is it possible to have a Casmera smili x Scrub smili? And if it is, would the barn owl smili be passable as one?

I'm not going to say no, but it is more or less impossible. If I've understood the Casmeara smili correctly they live in the Philippines. Scrub smili live in the central (nothern south america and southern north america) america. It's a enourmous ocean in the way and let me remind everyone again: Smili are animals. And they don't move around like some birds do. Any normal smili would stay in the same location it's entire life.
As for what the barn owl smili would pass as, I'd say Tundra or Scrub smili. The colour however isn't dependant on the subspecies, but of the place of birth. So if you hypothetically moved a pregnant Tundra smili to the jungle her cubs would probably come out black or black patterned.

I don't make the smili sub-species, you people do. For a sub-species to be accepted you have to
    a. Own a smili that you'd like to belong to the new sub-species. This is because I don't want a lot of empty species that no one joins.
    b. Type up a short description of the species. Remember to stick to what goes for the smili species in general.
    c. PM me with the description.
    d. I will most likely have things to nitpick on. Either I correct those things myself after discussing it over with you, or I reject your species.

-3B-, that would be alright. Sounds like a beautiful picture too.

Toadfoal, as far as I know they don't quite have ranks, other than that old age gives lots of respect.

Yeah, makes sense. ^^ I got curious as to what subspecies mixes would be possible what with all the new cubs and such. x3

Sorry for asking so many questions. Dx I tend to get a little carried away.

On the subject of "ranks", having said that old age gives lots of respect, in a way that they are practically given a higher rank? (Example: "(smili name here) is an elder.") Or treated relatively equally to other smili, just with a higher degree of respect? (And, I suppose, an awareness of what they can and can't do.) Hope that makes sense.

In most smili groups the opinion of a elder smili is more important than the opinion of a younger one, because an old smili have more experiance. It's not a rank in that kind of sence, they aren't more important than others or anything. But they are often highly respected and appriciated for their knowledge.

I don't quite get the first rule. Would I have to own a smili first to make a new sub-species?

More or less, yes. Mainly it's because I try to keep the number of species down a little bit. Then it's the problem with empty sub-species. Some things about smili is only aviable to owners, I suppose thats one of the fun parts of owning a smili, one of the things to make it special. Some things are open to the public, like suggestions for future colourings for example.

However, if someone have a idea that is really good and well thought out you could always PM me and see what I think. I'm not that impossible that I'll reject any good idea just for the sake of rejecting. Mostly I'd probably recomend to wait and use the info in a future form.

The Leopard Pups
Grey, Black and White. The world revolves and we go with it. Twisting in this everlasting monotony, eyes of green and gold, watching and waiting for our chance, our time. Cytor, Liliana, Serenade, Bayonet, the Prankster, the sweet one, the mother and the lost soul. There birth was a lost event, one in a million, two wandering souls met in the shadows, and these four were created. There pups are the stuff of legend, one lost there sight, one lost there path, one lost there love and the other? The other lost his family, everyone they cared about. He lost his family.
