What Are Phlegons?
- "Phlegon" means "the burning/blazing ones". (Pronounced FLEE-gin or FLEE-gon) Phlegons are an equine species similiar to the Arabian breed. Phlegons are the "protectors of the forest". The "revivers of the forest". Sometimes, fores fires are good because they regenerate the soil so more trees can grow. Without Phlegons, this could not happen. Phlegons turn the forest green again, and regrows the trees, grass, flowers and other plants after the fire has turned it all to black ash.
Appearance
- Their sizes range from small (about the size of a rabbit) to large (about the size of a Hippo). However most commonly they're about the size of a dog. Though Phlegons' sizes range from small to large, they do not "mature" in physical appearrance. When born, Phlegons will be about the size of a mouse. They are born like a regular horse; they are still mammals. Depending on how fast the Phlegon grows in 5 years they will be different sizes. For example a Phlegon that matures quickly with be large, while a Phlegon that matures slower will be small. Despite the fact that they do grow larger, their appearance doesnt much change. All Phlegons when born will look exactly the same as they will when they stop growing at 5 years old. They will look like Arabian foals. The only thing that changes are their manes and tails. When born, Phlegon foals will have very, very short manes and tails. As they grow, their mane gets longer.
Phlegon's have the same coat colors as regular horses. However they often have red to orange streaks in their manes and tails no matter if their coat color is blue roan or cremello. The only coat color that does not appear on Phlegons are Appaloosa and black. There are never black markings or solid coat colors, and there are never any Appaloosas, and often if a Phlegon is born with the coat color it was die shortly after birth. Phlegons' eye colors are usually green, but can also be blue, red, orange or yellow. Phlegons' hooves will be the exact same color as their eyes unless their coat color is bay, cremello, or palomino. Scientists are not yet sure why.
How to Adopt
- If a Phlegon is up for adoption (and often there will be more than one available at one time) there will be a green "Adopt Me" sign. When the sign is taken off, it means that someone has already adopted that Phlegon. For foals, there will be a blue "Breeding" sign on it. There will always be a form you need to fil out really quick to adopt a Phlegon. Sometimes you'll just have to give a name, other times you'll need to draw art, write a story or a personality for that Phlegon. Whatever the artist chooses.
Adoption Rules
- You may only adopt 5 Phlegons. When more Phlegons are made and they become more popular, you will be able to adopt more.
- If you chose you do not want a Phlegon anymore, you are able to give it back. However, you will only be allowed to adopt 3 Phlegons and the one you gave back will not be put back up for adoption, it will be released into the "wild".
- Please, when you are adopting, do not change the form in any way, just fill it out. This rule will be included on the first post of each Phlegon up for adoption as well.
- If more rules are needed, they will be added ^^
