In answer to your question jelli, most live in the buildings, but many still dig burrows when their expecting a litter. It's safer. Even some who DO live in the buildings dig burrows for their young.

That's a good question, and reminds me of my own. If a smili were as advanced as the Pompeii smili are, do you think it would be feasible that they would play with fabrics, or is that beyond their reach? I think it would be (no thumbs to weave anything that intricate), but it would really be up to you Spot.

I think they would be fashinated by a material such as fabric, but not able to make it themselves.

I have a question. Do smilis leave there long term mates after awhile, like divorce, or do they stay with them forever?

It depends. Some pairs split up when they isn't going to have any more cubs, some stay life long. Some just leave each other for no apparent reason at any time in life, much like humans do. Smili life is hard, so it's quite unusual that both in a couple would live to old age.

I also have a couple questions :3 What types of paint do Smili use? I'm assuming paints made out of natural material, but I want to make sure X3 Also, would a Smili be able to use a simple paintbrush type tool?

Anything with colour that they can stumble across in nature. Mud, plants, mushrooms.. Mostly anything.
And no paintbrushes. They are to tiny and delicate. And advanced. Most smili are still... animals, you know?

I'm a random person who was been lurking around here for a while. xD;;
Part of the reason I'm appearing is because I finally found a smili that has reeeaaally captured my interest, the "poisonous" smili. I was just wondering, would that smili pass as a Pompeii smili? I wasn't sure.

Also, another question. I know that smilis often split cubs when there is more than one and wish to go their separate ways. But is it possible for one of the parents to decide they don't wish to give up any of their cubs, and decide to keep them all?
