No, that's what I wanted; what everyone thinks ^^
That feature will be completely optional, and I am planning on getting some staff in here soon to help out as well, so if anyone has any comments, concerns, etc, there will always be someone there to help out and explain things clearly ^^

Well it would be a good option for people with mad art skills and tonnes of VR's to burn but unfortunatley I'm neither of these people unless on traditional art and I'm not even that good then. I have a DA account but no tablet to its pretty much usless :3 I think its a good idea but only to the people who would benifit from it if you know what I mean.

This won't actually have anything to do with DA, I was just comparing it in case anyone knows how the systems work ^^
As well, art skills and style won't matter at all - I mean type of art as in headshot having different points from full body or from sketches, generally how much of the horse is shown in the image and if there is a background or not ^^ I realize that not everyone on CS is an amazing artist, so this will have nothing to do with how 'good' your art is. I am trying to aim this system into everyone being able to participate and work on their art, no matter what their art skill is ^^

I think perhaps it would be more fair to broaden it a little bit to perhaps include written stories?
The more effort put in, the more its worth.

I know writing is my forte and it pretty much gives people more of a chance to participate C:

But some people can't afford that or simply are not allowed to, so I think some sort of middle ground, like story writing, should be available for those.

Actually, though I voted for companions in the poll, I like the horse points idea as well. C: I think it could be fun, and would be a nice way for me to practice my horse anatomy without making a character or worrying if someone who ordered it will like it or whatever. xD

I for one am not that good at writing, since I'm not a native speaker, but I love to draw horses.

I think there should be points and competitions - the effort will be worth it. :)

Story writing and poems are a great idea! I din't even think of that, haha ^^ The only problem is how would there be a way to rate them for different amounts of points? Length might work, but that dosn't mean a short story is bad, or that a long story is very good. So if you have any ideas on how I could rate them fairly, that would be great

Competitions will be like HARPG run shows, where someone will make an art entry for their dream walker Competition entries will have larger point rewards and prizes rather than just the regular points you get for images and writing ^^

I think writing is a good idea as well, the only issue is that we need to find a way to be able to assign different amounts of points for different types of writing, which is difficult.

I'll admit that judging writing is a bit more tricky than art, but really it comes down to the exact same principles. The way I see it, art and writing are fraternal twins XD Essentially the same but looking very different.

You'd judge art on what?
-feeling
-effort
-emotion
-quality
-relevance to the species
-Interest

It basically is the exact same thing for writing. When reading it you simply go:
-Is there feeling and emotion in this piece?
-Did they put effort in? (not a five minute short story with many spelling/grammar errors)
-Do they give good emotion and capture the behaviour of the dream walkers?
-Is this a quality story/poem?
-Is it relevant? (not about pink floofy unicorns prancing around a meadow of posies)
-Is it interesting.

From there you have a point system. I'll just give an example to make things easier XD

Lets say that each piece can be worth up to 6 points (one for each category)
If someone seems to fill all six categories well then they get 6 points.
If they didn't do so well in one (or more) categories you simply deduct the points.
I think that would make it the easiest and most fair, but again this is just my own random idea XDDD
