Goennec Pen #: 1
Name: Sunrise
How would you use him/her: I would love to RP her as my character ^^
Define your Goennec: Story/History:
Sunrise blinked open her beautiful gold eyes for the first time, and they streched wide in amazement. She jumped to her paws excitedly, but suddenly she froze to the spot in horror. There, dead on the forest ground, was her mother, blood coming from her neck. Sunrise couldn't even whimper, being too chocked back by tears. As she finally let the tears burst from her eyes, she raced away in fear, sadness, and hatred for who or what did that to her mother. She ran further, further, further, boom! She landed with a thud as she tripped. Still crying her eyes out, she curled into a tight ball right there, crying herself to sleep.
Sunrise lifted her head, shivering with cold as she saw that she was soaked in tears. Eyes still bleary with sleep and tears, she stumbled to her feet. She gasped as she was grabbed by the scruff by a figure that she couldn't distinguish by scent, because she was so young. She wailed for help, but none came. The forest was like a living nightmare. Her breath caught in her throat as she was slammed against a tree, and blackness swept over her body.
Sunrise dizzily awoke, head spinning like never before. "Wha?" she looked around, but her eyeswere still a bit unfocused as she scouted the area. She was in a den.... a wolf den! She gasped, jumping to her paws and making a swift break for the entrance to the den. Too late. A jet black female wolf appeared before her, but her eyes were not menacing or blood-thirsty at all. Sunrise looked closly and suddenly realised the wolf was smiling. "Kiro, she's awake" she called to the back of the large den. A moan came from a grumpy, sleeping figure. "Why should I care?" he groaned, pulling himself to his paws. He trudged over, rolling his eyes. Finally, he sat down beside the wolf. Sunrise almost gasped, but made sure she didn't. He was a goennec, as she was. He was a light orange color with yellow rings along his tail, legs, ears, and muzzle. He was... gorgouse. Forcing herself not to stare, she turned her head to the wolf. Finally, Sunrise spoke for the first time. "Wh-Who are y-you?" she stammered to the wolf and goennec. The wolfs eyes twinkled with amusement. "I am Solar Eclipse, but you can call me Solar if you wish. It is what most others call me." her voice was deep, but warm. Solar must have noticed the confused look on Sunrises face because she laughed a bit. "My mother named me Solar Eclipse, because of this," Solar bent her head down for Sunrise to see. Sunrises eyes were wide in curiosity and amazement as she saw a marking in her fur that looked like a solar eclipse. "Wow" Sunrise beamed brightly, but then she remembered she was talking to a wolf and shrunk down a bit. "This is Kiro" Solar indicated the male goennec with a smile. "I rescued him last week from the same thing I rescued you from." Solar told Sunrise in a gentle manner, probably knowing Sunrise was fearful and uncomfortable. "What? Y-you had to recue me from something? What was it?" Sunrise asked quickly, panicking now and her eyes were wide and wild. Kiro just sat in the corner, slumped over boredly with a blank expression. Solar turned her head away to hide the regret in her eyes. "Il tell you later, you must sleep now" Solar said in her deep, smooth tone. "But-" Sunrise began, but Solar shook her head. "Sleep" Solar ordered gently. Sighing, Sunrise curled into a ball and closed her beautiful golden eyes.
Sunrise awoke to a soft sobbing. She didn't lift her head, and continued to brath deeply as if she were still sleeping. Carefully and slowly, she opened one eye. It was Kiro, and he had his back turned to her. His cry was very quiet, and Sunrise guessed he was trying not to wake anyone. "F-father, I'm so sorry! I should have tried harder! But I couldn't, I just couldn't! It was too much like mother! A-and I just couldn't watch that again!" Kiro sobbed softly and quietly as he looked up at the stars. Sunrise felt sudden sympathy creep slowly into her gaze as she moved her tail a bit. Kiro pricked his ears, and gave a bit of a growl. "I know your there Sunrise." He said, his voice blank again. "How long have you been awake?" He demamded quickly, his back still turned to her. Sunrise thought quickly, and knew it was best to lie. "I-I just woke up..." she lied quietly, looking away from him. "Whatever" Kiro muttered, laying down in his nest of moss as he closed his eyes.
Sunrise blinked her eyes slowly awake, suddenly feeling warmth around her. She then noticed Kiro was sleeping beside her, their pelts brushing. She blushed and quickly sat up, guessing she probably inched closer and closer to him in her sleep. She didn't even notice that she was still in her nest while Kiro was the one who was sleeping outside his nest. She began licking her tail, but then heard a low grumbling sound that made shivers shoot up her spine. She heard little crunching sounds of leaves crumbling and twigs cracking. Whatever it was, it was outside the den, circling them. She looked over at the sleeping Solar, who's head instantly snapped up and her eyes were wild. Solar jumped to her paws, fur bristling. "Get to the back of the den, both of you." she ordered quickly as Kiro woke up too. When niether of the two goennecs moved, she shot them a look. "Now" she told them sternly, returning her cold glare to the den entrance. But then there was a screeching noise; the figure outside was raking his claws down a tree as a warning. Sunrise clenched her teeth at the horid sound, and quickly followed Kiro to the back of the den, horror booming in her ears.
Sunrise felt Kiros head butting her backside as he growled, "Get into that hole, and hurry!" so she jumped in, too petrified to look back and see what was attacking. Sunrise the noticed the hole was not only a hole, but a tunnel. She heard scrabbling paws on dirt as Kiro climbed in after her, panting wildly as his eyes reflected deep terror. As he saw that Sunrise was looking at him, he turned his head away so that she would see the terrified look in his deep, royal blue eyes. Sunrise panted as they went deeper into the tunnel, not even noticing Kiro's eyes reflecting more and more pain as they neared the opening to the tunnel on the other side. Finnaly, Kiro couldn't seem to take it anymore. "Here is good." he mumbled, stopping. Sunrise was confused that they shouldn't go farther, but before she had time to think things through, her body tensed over completely as an ear-splitting screech of cold, deep agony shilled her to the bone. "Solar" she chocked out as she fought to hold back tears. Soon, she began to feel dizzy, and dizzy, and dizzy, and di- blackness swept over her body.
Sunrise moaned as she lifted her head, and felt a tongue rasping her head. But as soon as she began to lift her head, Kiro instantly stopped licking her and sat back, looking at his paws as he blushed a bit in emberassement. Sunrise gasped horrifiedly as she smelled blood. Tears burst from her eyes and she ran over to Solars limp, bloody, claw raked body. "Wh-what killed her? What tried to hurt me? Why wouldn't she tell me?" Sunrise felt pain reflecting deeply in her tear-welled eyes as she asked questions to Kiro. Kiro starred at the ground, shaking his head slowly. "She never told me." he answered in a barely audible voice. Sunrise cried and raced out of the den, bolting through tree's and bushes as she swept through the forest. Finally, she stopped in front of a flowing river. She just sat there, crying. She just wanted the world to end right there, so that she wouldn't have to feel the deep pain that burned her heart.
After a long while, the bushes behind her shook. She jumped and whipped around, fear flashing in her gold eyes. A few heartbeats later, Kiro was stepping out of the bushes. "O-oh, its you" Sunrise said quietly, trying to wipe the tears from her eyes. Kiro was silent as he sat down beside her. Slowly, he rested his tail on her shoulders comfortingly, and gave her a reassuring smile. Sunrise was almost certain that this was the frist time she had ever seen him smile, and gave him a weak smile back. Sunrise and Kiro fell silent, and Sunrise soon found herself falling asleep beside him as he licked her soothingly. Finally, her eyes slowly closed, and blackness swept over her body.
Several months past, and Sunrise and Kiro had stayed together, living in Solars den. Sunrise lifted her head and shook her fur as the sun came up. Kiro was beside her, waking up slowly as well. Sunrises stomach growled a bit as she flicked a leaf from her ear. "Wanna hunt with me?" she asked Kiro in her soft, drowsy voice. Kiro blinked gorgouse eyes a few times. "Sure" he answered as he heaved himself to his paws slowly. After a quick fur cleaning, they set off through the forest. "Maybe we could go fishing in the river?" Kiro suggested lightly as he trotted alongisde Sunrise. They had become very good friends since Solars horrid death. Sunrise still couldn't get that star-struck look out of her eyes as she looked at him. "Sure" she replied softly with a smile as they trotted to the waters edge. They sat back together, eyes scanning the water. Sunrise looked up, dark clouds were comming.... fast. "Umm, Kiro?..." Sunrises voice was quiet as she still looked at the darkening sky. The storm seemed fast and large, and the water was already begining to rush quickly, crashing on sharp rocks and flooding the sides of the river a bit. Kiro opened his mouth to respond, but was cut off as a huge, strong wave crashed over him. Sunrise let out a piercing shriek of horror, and as the wave vanished, so did Kiro. "KIRO!" she screamed, tears flooding from her eyes. She ran after the waves, looking for any sign of Kiro as tears blurred her vision. Finally, she saw his orange head bobbing in the water. Barely thinking, she flung herself into the water as she scrambled for a paw hold. None. Water filled her nostrils as she suddenly felt something soft against her fur; Kiro. "Kir-" she caughed up water as she tried to speak. She gripped onto him, and they both weakly swam. Sunrise knew this was the end. Finally, she couldn't go father, but out of no wheres, something gripped their scruffs. Sunrise yelped as she was hauled out of the water. She tried to squirm around and turn herself towards whatever was saving them, but couldn't. Soon, she was left, gasping and spluttering for breath as she coughed up water, She whiped around weakly, but whatever had saved them, was gone in the blink of an eye. Sunrise dragged herself to Kiro's side, who was barely breathing. She cried as she looked at him. "K-Kiro?" her voice was barely audible as fear wafted from her pelt. Kiro rolled over to look at her, wincing as he managed to whisper, "I love you Sunrise" and then his eyes closed, never to open again. "No! NOOO!" Sunrise screamed, throwing her face into his fur as she nosed him and nuzzled him. "I-I love you too" she managed to choke out as, once again, she cried herself to sleep beside Kiro.
Sunrise lifted her head the next morning, and the scent of death threatend to choke her. More tears began to well up in her eyes as she dug, and dug. Finally, she had made a large hole, and gently lay the gorgouse Kiro inside it. After slowly and tearfully putting the earth back, she sat there beside his grave for who knows how long until finally, she lifted her head. "I have to leave this horrid place." she whispered to herself through her tears as, one last time, she told Kiro she loved him. Then, she grabbed a mouse from the little prey pile she and Kiro had made. "K-Kiro caught this mouse" she chocked out sadly, slowly eating it and thanking Kiro for every bite she took of it. Soon, she was out in the forest, heading for a new place to live. She was leaving everything she had ever known. Her mother, Solar, Kiro, and her home. She wasn't even able to find out what had killed her mother and Solar... or what had saved her life, but was too late for Kiro's. She sighed a bit, but she knew this was what she had to do.

I dont think I can possibly get by,

because no longer can I hide,
This is my life,
so watch me pull out my knife,
I'm leaving this world.

Likes: Sunrise loves the rain, because it makes her feel as though heaven is grieving her losses. She also likes storms, because its the only time that she can actually think that Kiro's still with her, down on earth.
Dislikes: Sunrise doesn't like forests that remind her of the forest that she, Solar, and Kiro had lived in. She doesn't like to remember what had tried to kill her, or what had killed Solar.
Favorite food: Sunrise likes rabbits and she also likes berry's. She learned which berry's were eatible by their scent.
Personality: Sunrise is very quiet, but she tries to act bright around others, though she feels like she's dying on the inside. Sometimes, if she's lucky, she'll forget about the past and feel like she fits in again, but soon after she goes back to her quiet self.
Quote that resembles Goennec: 'I go through life with tears and a fake smile'
Other things about Goennec: Every night, Sunrise lifts her head to the sky and tells Kiro she loves him. Sometimes, though she assumes it's her imagination, she notices a certain star in the sky that shines a little brighter when she tells Kiro that she loves him.

It's got 1 repeated chorus, 2 verses, and a bridge...I'm just waiting for it to come back from my friend's house. She a song writer, so she's evaluating it for me.
