Name: Kit
Age: 17 years, although it doesn’t matter all that much to her. She has long since lost track.
Appearance: Small and slight thanks to years of malnourishment, she stands at only about five feet high, and weighs a mere 95 pounds. As you could imagine there is not much to her, just pale skin stretched over some muscle and bone. Her mutations resemble the features of a raccoon. Most of her body is covered a in a thin sleek layer of dark grey and black fur, covering her hands to extend up her forearms, covering her face, and her feet up to her knees. Her face, primarily her nose, is much more pointed than any humans would be, tipped in shiny black skin and completed with silky white whiskers. Around her dark brown, almost black, eyes is the classic raccoon mask of black fur. Her canine teeth and a few surrounding them are elongated and pointed like fangs, adding a sort of lisp to her speech. Her ears are not that of a raccoon, but they are seldom seen under her wild mass of grayish black hair. It is not very long in length, only reaching to the tops of her shoulders, but it is thick and wiry like fur, the undercoat grey with black outer guard hairs. Her hands appear more like the paws of a raccoon, with long slender fingers and sharp pointed claws where finger nails should be. Her feet are the same, making it impossible for her to wear shoes properly. Her movements are scurrying, often crouched, and her paws make climbing easy for her.
Personality: Shy, quiet and reclusive, she is not going to be the one to go up to someone and start a conversation. She is fearful and cautious, loud noises and bright flashes of light seem to startle her the most. If anyone wanted to approach her they would have to do so carefully, mindful of their movements. Move to fast, she'll run. Make eye contact for too long, she'll run. She is almost like a wild animal, except that she can speak and understand English. She does not comprehend things like evil; she only understands the base feelings, such as fear, happiness, and sadness. She thinks more along the lines of her base needs rather than her feelings. If she has food, she is happy; if she does not have shelter she is sad. Her fight or flight instinct is strong, flight being her preferred option. She will only fight if cornered, and will only do so long enough to escape. It would take a kind, gentle, and patient heart to get to know her.
History: She was never given a name upon birth, thanks to her parents shock at her grotesque appearance. Horrified at their child’s appearance they kept her in secret, telling people that the baby had been still born. They kept her in the attic, giving her food and water twice a day in the small dark room. She got some human interaction from her mother, who didn't quite know what to do with her, so she usually just sat quietly with her, watching her play and interact with the few toys she had been given as she grew.
Her mother taught her a few things, such as how to dress and look after herself, and eventually gave her a name of some sort: Kit. She picked this name from the small noises the girl used to make before she could really speak.
Though the girl’s life was dim and uneventful, she got off easy compared to some other mutants. She was not abused or beaten in any traumatic sort of way, she did not go without food or water, and she slept in a small bed. And she was even allowed to venture from the attic every once and a while when her father was out. But she was never allowed outside, where others could see her mutations.
She lived life this way until the age of five, until one night her father cast her out. Where her mother had grown to accept her, and even love her, her father’s contempt for her only grew. He refused to call her by any name, and went to great lengths to ignore her existence. And as time went on he began to resent supplying food and shelter for a 'wild creature'.
So one night, when he father came home red faced and breath smelling of whisky, he took his small daughter from her attic home and cast her out into the small alleyway behind their house, slamming the door before the girl could even scramble to her feet. And as she sat in the alleyway she could hear her mother’s pleas to let her back inside, but eventually everything fell quiet, and all of the lights inside the house went dark.
With wide, terror filled eyes she took in her surroundings, the stench of the city filling her nose and the dampness seeping into her thin clothes. Slowly she huddled herself into a small ball, her back pressed against the cold stone wall of a building as she stared up at what once was her home.
She sat there until morning, when she was discovered by a group of children just a few years older than her. The children ran her off, shouting and throwing anything they could find. And where ever the frightened girl went she was met with the same, angry faces and loud voices, things flying through the air. All day she ran and hid, only to be discovered by someone else. She only gained relief at nightfall, when everyone returned to their houses to sleep. And through the night she made her way through the city, to the outskirts to meet the icy black waters of the river, where she found she wasn’t the only outcast of the city...

Name: Fin
Age: 18 years
Appearance: Tall and lanky, with mutations that resemble a shark. His skin is smooth and leathery, with a bluish grey hue that would look deathly on any human. His face is a bit smashed, with a small nose and small black eyes. All of his teeth are sharp and pointed, and he has rows of them. He has no tongue, so he cannot speak. He has no shape of an outer ear, only a small hole in each side of his head. He has no hair on his body. His hands and feet are webbed; you can barely make out the outlines of bones that should have been fingers and toes. Down along his neck and back there is a small crest of cartilage, what would be a shark’s dorsal fin. He has a very light bone structure, mostly made up of cartilage. And down along the sides of his neck are rows of gills. He still relies on his nose and lungs to breath, but when immersed in water his gills do allow him to draw some oxygen from the water, allowing him to stay immersed for up to 10 minutes in well oxygenated water.
Personality: Solitary is the best way to describe him. He does not crave nor need the company of others to get by. When he is with others, he is viewed as sullen and distant. Not much is known about him, since he keeps himself in the deepest part of the sewers, only venturing out for food or when the rare mood strikes him. He is not necessarily unfriendly, but his quietness is often mistaken. Most do not care to think about whether he can talk, which he can't. They just assume he can, but chooses not to. This kind of naive thinking he finds common, far to common for his tastes, which is why he hides away.
History: Born to a rich family that worked for the government, he had it rough from the start. The only reason why the couple did not immediately turn their mutant son in is because of shame. They did not want others to know that they had produced one of the 'unclean' mutants. But instead of hiding him away themselves, they went to a well known kin, handing over their son without a second glance and walking away. From then on the kin raised him, and gave him a name. He lived with the kin until he was about 8 years old, when the reapers came. The kin that had raised him stalled the reapers just long enough for the young frightened Fin to get away. Later after the raid, Fin returned to his home, only to find it empty and destroyed. He still doesn’t know what happened to the kind kin who had raised him.

Name: Henry Thomas
Age: 24
Alliance: Kin
Personality: Henry is stubborn, on all fronts. Tell him he can’t do something, he’s going to try and get it done whether it kills him or not. He does not like to lose, and this combined with his stubbornness can be his fatal flaw. He is also extremely spiteful, and has a bit of an anger issue, but usually if you let him cool down for a good five minutes he is approachable. While all of this may seem to combine to make an unpleasant person, this is not the whole of Henry. He is kind, and strives to help others whenever and wherever he is. He has the mentality and drive to be a police officer, or perhaps a soldier, but his views of the world differ so much from that of the government that he wants nothing to do with working for them. He is proud and confident, and has a strong sense of honour. He is not perfect, and he knows this. He is hard on himself, and knows when he loses his temper, or when he hurts someone for spite, that he is wrong after the fact.
Appearance: Thick dark brown hair that he keeps short, no more than one or two inches long, with forest green eyes. He is tall, standing at 6 feet 2 inches, and has a good sturdy build. His skin is lightly tanned, and his clothes are usually plain, consisting of a plain shirt and jeans. And because I am lazy, there is a picture below.
History: Until the age of 9, Henry was an only child. Loved by his parents, he had a very normal life. But when his mother gave birth to his sister, things changed. She was born a mutant, deformed and unwanted by his parents, especially by his father. She was kept in the house only because of her mother, but she was kept hidden. Life continued on for the family but it was more tense and cautious, the family afraid that their secret would be found out. Henry and his mother eventually grew close to his sister, and grew to love her. His father even seemed to grow a bit fond of her. But when Henry reached the age of 18, and his sister 9, a group of reapers came and raided their house. His sister and mother were taken, but for some reason unknown to Henry, he and his father were left behind. Soon after his father fell into drinking and Henry went out on his own, soon becoming a well known kin among the mutants. He owns a general store, which services citizens of the city during the day, and mutants during the night. They can access his shop through an old man hole in his basement.
