The year 2150 is not what we expected.

The world is not full of flying cars, there is no medical cure for cancer, no robots performing daily tasks alongside humans.

No, this is not what we had in mind for our future…

Image

Over population. Toxic pollution. Animal extinction.

That is what our future has brought us. Major cities around the world have turned into giant fuming cesspools. Suburbs and wilderness lie motionless and lifeless under a toxic yellow sky. The only place where life is possible is in the few cities which are barely clean enough to sustain life. Conditions are crowded and dirty, and the people are governed by corruption and greed.
There are two separate classes here. The government workers and the poor. Those who work for the government are considered outcasts, people to be avoided and shunned for their life of luxury. While those outside the government are forced to take the few factory jobs still available, and scavenge their way through life as best as they can. Few have electricity or even running water. Technology has reverted back instead of moved forward.

But the city holds a secret. A dark, twisted secret that no one really wants to think about.

For about two decades now, some children have been born with… deformities. Mutations. Horrified parents kept their deformed children secret, casting them out or locking them away. The cause of the mutations is generally a mystery, except to those of the government.

Toxic nuclear waist has been leaking into the water systems for years, due to the state of the abandoned nuclear power plants left to disintegrate after workers abandoned them. The process was slow, allowing the adaptable human race to build a sort of immunity, but the consequences have turned gruesome. Babies being born with animal or insect features, extra limbs, deformed faces, features of things once reserved for horror movies. And for years the government has been sitting on this secret, for years doing nothing about it. But the numbers of the mutants have started growing out of control, and the people of the city becoming more and more questioning.

So as a precaution to save their own skins, the government has issued a death warrant for any kind of mutant, sending out trained killers to hunt down and kill the innocent creatures that cannot help but be victims…

Special Thanks to kikimanu, ℑʜᴇ ℬᴜʀɴɪɴɢ ℛᴏsᴇ, and nosebleed for helping develop this roleplay.

The Mutants
Image
The lowest of the low, these children are the unwanted outcasts of the city. Cast out by their parents, they are forced to live and scavenge on the streets. Mutations vary, some resemble animals, some insects, and some so grotesque it is hard to tell. But not matter what form, they are all treated the same. Invisible. Scum. Unwanted.
The children are almost always uneducated. Those who retain the ability to speak do so in the manner of a small child, and those whose mutations prevent them from speech rely on garbled noises and body language. They live together in small packs or bands, but on a larger scale they are more like a small primitive tribe, with a simple social hierarchy. There is a leader, someone who has fought and won their position through a challenge set upon the previous leader. There is not really a set name for the leader, instead their name becomes symbolic, and made into more of a title. They do not have much command or control over the others, at least not in the traditional way. Their position and popularity depend on how they earned the position, and how they conduct themselves. They are usually respected and a bit feared, after all, they did not earn the position by giving out hugs. Under the leader are a small group of close ‘friends’ to the current leader. They usually follow in the leaders shadow and come and go, never really permanent. The rest are scrapers, the ones with no special status.
The sewers are where the mutants call home. Criss crossing under the streets of the city, they give them a way to travel and live out of the eye of the government and ‘the clean ones’. As you could imagine conditions in the sewers and dirty, to say the least. No sun light, no fresh air, and utterly depressing. When the mutants surface it is usually at night to scavenge along the black garbage littered banks of the river that runs along the outskirts of the city. Mostly they keep what they find for themselves, but sometimes they may trade among one another for things they need, and sometimes, very rarely, there may be a ‘clean one’ who is willing to trade and cooperate with the mutants. These people are simply called kin, or sometimes safe givers. These rare people are the mutants only light against the onslaught of the government.

The Government
Image
The people of the government are, quite simply put, hated. They live in a tall high rise building, filled with the only decent housing in the city. Here they have running water and electricity. The air inside is filtered, and the windows tinted to block out the horror show going on around them.
Some lucky few, depending on what you call lucky, are brought in to work for the government officials and their families, to cook, clean, and do other sorts of chores. They are paid minimally, but still more than they would receive in a factory, and their work environment is vastly safer. However with the job comes shame. Those who choose to work among the government are shunned and looked down upon as taking an easy way out, or being traitors.
The government is full of corruption, and they do little governing. They are more concerned about how much money they make, and what they can do to try and salvage what little respect they hold with the public by giving false promises and false hopes. The most recent campaign being to “cleanse the city of the Unclean’. Recently they have sent out trained killers to eliminate the mutants of the city. Officially they are called Cullers, but their street name, primarily used by the mutants, is Reapers. Their job is to ‘cull’ any mutant from the population, and discard of the remains in a way that does not ‘offend the public’. A culler has full freedom over how they execute their job, and are not very well monitored by the government, who just want the mutants gone.

Kin or Safe Keepers
Image
Most of the citizens of the city want nothing to do with the mutants. They are painful reminders of their current state, and are just generally unwanted. However, there is a small pocket of people who sympathize with the mutants, and offer safe harbor and trade. These people usually keep their views hidden in order to avoid persecution, but some have been known to go to extremes to help the mutants.

The Rules and Character List

Postby Cuckoo » Sun Aug 26, 2012 4:28 pm

The Rules

- This is a semi literate role play. We are asking that you write one - two good sized paragraphs, with good spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. Everyone gets writers block. But if you cannot come up with a good post, simply let us know and we will understand. Take some time, get your muse back, and then post.

- I have the power to accept, deny, or ask you to change something, as does ℑʜᴇ ℬᴜʀɴɪɴɢ ℛᴏsᴇ, the roleplay mini mod. Please respect us and have patience, we are only human.

- We are accepting an unlimited number of mutant slots, but only five Kin and five Reapers. The slots are first come first serve.

- Please use our form. We took the time to come up with it, and it helps keep things in order. We are looking for certain things in a form, and it will be our indicator of your literacy, so please take your time on forms.

- Basic rules of CS apply here. You should know them. If you don’t, then you probably shouldn’t be here.

- Please be active. Don’t post a form and then never post again. It is rude.

- There are no second generation mutants. So your character can not be the son of a fish mutant and a snake mutant, and be some sort of fish snake mess. As of now mutants are born to regular people at random. It does not matter if they are government or not.

- We do accept reservations, however you must complete a form within three days of the reservation. If a form is not completed in that time, your spot will open up again. Your form will still have to be accepted, a reservation is not an automatic acceptance.

- Don’t be scared off by the rules. XD

Leader Rank explained…

There will be one main leader of the Mutants. As stated before, they earn their rank through battle. However, the role play will not start off with a leader (as in, you cannot sign up as leader). A leader will be decided once the role play begins, and everyone’s characters have been introduced. Once that happens, the current leader (not role played by anyone) will be killed by a reaper. Then there will be a competition of sorts. Those who want their character to be leader will post here on the tread stating so, and then there will be a writing contest to determine who wins, judged by Rose and myself.

Re: Work in Progress. Please Do Not Post.

Postby Cuckoo » Sun Aug 26, 2012 4:47 pm

Name: Kit
Age: 17 years, although it doesn’t matter all that much to her. She has long since lost track.
Appearance: Small and slight thanks to years of malnourishment, she stands at only about five feet high, and weighs a mere 95 pounds. As you could imagine there is not much to her, just pale skin stretched over some muscle and bone. Her mutations resemble the features of a raccoon. Most of her body is covered a in a thin sleek layer of dark grey and black fur, covering her hands to extend up her forearms, covering her face, and her feet up to her knees. Her face, primarily her nose, is much more pointed than any humans would be, tipped in shiny black skin and completed with silky white whiskers. Around her dark brown, almost black, eyes is the classic raccoon mask of black fur. Her canine teeth and a few surrounding them are elongated and pointed like fangs, adding a sort of lisp to her speech. Her ears are not that of a raccoon, but they are seldom seen under her wild mass of grayish black hair. It is not very long in length, only reaching to the tops of her shoulders, but it is thick and wiry like fur, the undercoat grey with black outer guard hairs. Her hands appear more like the paws of a raccoon, with long slender fingers and sharp pointed claws where finger nails should be. Her feet are the same, making it impossible for her to wear shoes properly. Her movements are scurrying, often crouched, and her paws make climbing easy for her.
Personality: Shy, quiet and reclusive, she is not going to be the one to go up to someone and start a conversation. She is fearful and cautious, loud noises and bright flashes of light seem to startle her the most. If anyone wanted to approach her they would have to do so carefully, mindful of their movements. Move to fast, she'll run. Make eye contact for too long, she'll run. She is almost like a wild animal, except that she can speak and understand English. She does not comprehend things like evil; she only understands the base feelings, such as fear, happiness, and sadness. She thinks more along the lines of her base needs rather than her feelings. If she has food, she is happy; if she does not have shelter she is sad. Her fight or flight instinct is strong, flight being her preferred option. She will only fight if cornered, and will only do so long enough to escape. It would take a kind, gentle, and patient heart to get to know her.
History: She was never given a name upon birth, thanks to her parents shock at her grotesque appearance. Horrified at their child’s appearance they kept her in secret, telling people that the baby had been still born. They kept her in the attic, giving her food and water twice a day in the small dark room. She got some human interaction from her mother, who didn't quite know what to do with her, so she usually just sat quietly with her, watching her play and interact with the few toys she had been given as she grew.
Her mother taught her a few things, such as how to dress and look after herself, and eventually gave her a name of some sort: Kit. She picked this name from the small noises the girl used to make before she could really speak.
Though the girl’s life was dim and uneventful, she got off easy compared to some other mutants. She was not abused or beaten in any traumatic sort of way, she did not go without food or water, and she slept in a small bed. And she was even allowed to venture from the attic every once and a while when her father was out. But she was never allowed outside, where others could see her mutations.
She lived life this way until the age of five, until one night her father cast her out. Where her mother had grown to accept her, and even love her, her father’s contempt for her only grew. He refused to call her by any name, and went to great lengths to ignore her existence. And as time went on he began to resent supplying food and shelter for a 'wild creature'.
So one night, when he father came home red faced and breath smelling of whisky, he took his small daughter from her attic home and cast her out into the small alleyway behind their house, slamming the door before the girl could even scramble to her feet. And as she sat in the alleyway she could hear her mother’s pleas to let her back inside, but eventually everything fell quiet, and all of the lights inside the house went dark.
With wide, terror filled eyes she took in her surroundings, the stench of the city filling her nose and the dampness seeping into her thin clothes. Slowly she huddled herself into a small ball, her back pressed against the cold stone wall of a building as she stared up at what once was her home.
She sat there until morning, when she was discovered by a group of children just a few years older than her. The children ran her off, shouting and throwing anything they could find. And where ever the frightened girl went she was met with the same, angry faces and loud voices, things flying through the air. All day she ran and hid, only to be discovered by someone else. She only gained relief at nightfall, when everyone returned to their houses to sleep. And through the night she made her way through the city, to the outskirts to meet the icy black waters of the river, where she found she wasn’t the only outcast of the city...
Rank: Scraper
Other: Nope

Name: Fin
Age: 18 years
Appearance: Tall and lanky, with mutations that resemble a shark. His skin is smooth and leathery, with a bluish grey hue that would look deathly on any human. His face is a bit smashed, with a small nose and small black eyes. All of his teeth are sharp and pointed, and he has rows of them. He has no tongue, so he cannot speak. He has no shape of an outer ear, only a small hole in each side of his head. He has no hair on his body. His hands and feet are webbed; you can barely make out the outlines of bones that should have been fingers and toes. Down along his neck and back there is a small crest of cartilage, what would be a shark’s dorsal fin. He has a very light bone structure, mostly made up of cartilage. And down along the sides of his neck are rows of gills. He still relies on his nose and lungs to breath, but when immersed in water his gills do allow him to draw some oxygen from the water, allowing him to stay immersed for up to 10 minutes in well oxygenated water.
Personality: Solitary is the best way to describe him. He does not crave nor need the company of others to get by. When he is with others, he is viewed as sullen and distant. Not much is known about him, since he keeps himself in the deepest part of the sewers, only venturing out for food or when the rare mood strikes him. He is not necessarily unfriendly, but his quietness is often mistaken. Most do not care to think about whether he can talk, which he can't. They just assume he can, but chooses not to. This kind of naive thinking he finds common, far to common for his tastes, which is why he hides away.
History: Born to a rich family that worked for the government, he had it rough from the start. The only reason why the couple did not immediately turn their mutant son in is because of shame. They did not want others to know that they had produced one of the 'unclean' mutants. But instead of hiding him away themselves, they went to a well known kin, handing over their son without a second glance and walking away. From then on the kin raised him, and gave him a name. He lived with the kin until he was about 8 years old, when the reapers came. The kin that had raised him stalled the reapers just long enough for the young frightened Fin to get away. Later after the raid, Fin returned to his home, only to find it empty and destroyed. He still doesn’t know what happened to the kind kin who had raised him.
Rank: Scraper
Other: Nope.

Name: Henry Thomas
Age: 24
Alliance: Kin
Personality: Henry is stubborn, on all fronts. Tell him he can’t do something, he’s going to try and get it done whether it kills him or not. He does not like to lose, and this combined with his stubbornness can be his fatal flaw. He is also extremely spiteful, and has a bit of an anger issue, but usually if you let him cool down for a good five minutes he is approachable. While all of this may seem to combine to make an unpleasant person, this is not the whole of Henry. He is kind, and strives to help others whenever and wherever he is. He has the mentality and drive to be a police officer, or perhaps a soldier, but his views of the world differ so much from that of the government that he wants nothing to do with working for them. He is proud and confident, and has a strong sense of honour. He is not perfect, and he knows this. He is hard on himself, and knows when he loses his temper, or when he hurts someone for spite, that he is wrong after the fact.
Appearance: Thick dark brown hair that he keeps short, no more than one or two inches long, with forest green eyes. He is tall, standing at 6 feet 2 inches, and has a good sturdy build. His skin is lightly tanned, and his clothes are usually plain, consisting of a plain shirt and jeans. And because I am lazy, there is a picture below.
History: Until the age of 9, Henry was an only child. Loved by his parents, he had a very normal life. But when his mother gave birth to his sister, things changed. She was born a mutant, deformed and unwanted by his parents, especially by his father. She was kept in the house only because of her mother, but she was kept hidden. Life continued on for the family but it was more tense and cautious, the family afraid that their secret would be found out. Henry and his mother eventually grew close to his sister, and grew to love her. His father even seemed to grow a bit fond of her. But when Henry reached the age of 18, and his sister 9, a group of reapers came and raided their house. His sister and mother were taken, but for some reason unknown to Henry, he and his father were left behind. Soon after his father fell into drinking and Henry went out on his own, soon becoming a well known kin among the mutants. He owns a general store, which services citizens of the city during the day, and mutants during the night. They can access his shop through an old man hole in his basement.

.:Name:.
Arcadia Venediktov
.:Age:.
Seventeen years
.:Appearance:.
Image
Click Here-- 'Mutant Girl' by Will Murai

Arcadia has wavy black hair that falls down to her hips. Her eyes are white and seem to glow in the dark, while the whites of her eyes are actually a gray-blue color. She has very pale, almost blue skin that has a faint rainbow sheen to it, resembling the color of a pearl. She is very tall and lightweight, standing at almost six feet and weighing only ninety pounds. On either side of her neck, there are three slits, which are her gills. There are multiple spikes protruding from her cheekbones, forehead, hands, arms and legs, all of which are extremely sharp and acidic to the touch. Her teeth resemble a shark's; she has six rows of teeth (three on the top, three on the bottom) which are all very sharp and uneven. Her feet are webbed to help her swim better, and she has fins on her calves and forearms. Her blood is green and contains traces of toxic waste and acid, which produces the acid in her spikes. Being an amphibious creature that can walk on land but only breathe underwater, she requires a breathing apparatus whenever she goes out on dry land to hunt. This apparatus only covers her neck, since she breathes with her gills. Her ears are slightly pointed into translucent fins.
Arcadia walks with her back slightly arched inward, and she wears only a white tank top and ragged shorts. She doesn't wear shoes, since her webbed feet won't fit in most of them. If she stays on dry land for too long, her skin will begin to dry out and she will slowly begin to die. She can survive a few hours without her breathing apparatus, but she keeps it with her at all times, no matter what.

________________________________________________________________
.:Personality:.
Arcadia is very quiet and secretive. She doesn't speak very often, mostly because her way of speech is rather...primitive, as her parents abandoned her before she learned to speak properly. She is very logical and most sarcasm or jokes tend to fly right over her head, so she'll just reply with more logic, assuming she replies at all. She is cynical and refuses to consider an idea that she doesn't deem worthy for the occasion, even though she is of no important position. In battle, she can be your worst enemy or your best friend, but is more likely to be your worst enemy. Her silent composure makes her an excellent thief and spy, and she would kill anyone for her own benefit, but she doesn't take orders. She absolutely hates everyone that isn't a mutant, and does her best to avoid any social interaction whatsoever. One thing to keep in mind while dealing with Arcadia: She is insane. It might not seem like it at first glance, but she's cannibalistic and slightly schizophrenic.
If you gain her trust, which is extremely difficult, she is a loyal and trustworthy ally that would never let another mutant down. This doesn't necessarily mean she would sacrifice her own life to save a comrade, but she would do her best to make sure the comrade escapes first. To gain her trust, you have to find her first. She hides from everyone, which is part of the reason her skin is so pale; she lives in the shadows, hidden from view. She hates physical contact of any kind, so if she has no choice but to interact with a living being, she tries to keep at least three feet away from them at all times. If anyone gets any closer than that, she'll either attack or run away, but she'll attack more often than not.
It is very rare for her to think of people fondly. She hates almost everyone. There is one mutant, however. His name is Thayne, and she has always found him to be particularly interesting compared to the other mutants.

________________________________________________________________
.:History:.
Born in Chernobyl, Russia, Arcadia almost died from a freak accident in her mother's womb, which killed her mother instead. There had been a splinter digging into her skull right before her birth, which had consequently gouged out a cluster of very fine nerve cells. It all came down to one thing: Due to that splinter, Arcadia lost any capability to show emotion; no guilt, no anger, no love, no sadness. Ever since she'd been born, she has never once conveyed a single emotion, although she still has emotions. Her father abandoned her at an old warehouse a few years after her birth; he still cared, even though she was a monster. She taught herself how to hunt and kill anything that crossed her path, and she hardly ever spoke to anyone. She has never had any friends or allies, and she probably never will, since she prefers to work alone.
She currently resides in the sewers and lives off of mutated fish and sometimes other mutants, but her location changes all the time, thanks to her paranoia. She goes out every day to hunt for food or clean water, although she only leaves for a short amount of time so that she doesn't get caught. If she ever catches an intruder in her temporary home, she kills them without hesitation.

Renos is very quiet and easily angered. He doesn't really care for anything except his job, which is to exterminate all mutants from the designated area. When it comes to normal conversation, he's kind of awkward and prefers to listen rather than to speak, but in battle he's a great fighter that never lets a mutant escape. No one is really sure why he hates mutants so much, and he doesn't tell anyone why.
He can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. If you try to reason with him that mutants aren't that bad, he'll either punch you or ignore your opinion, although the former option is more common for him.

>>Appearance<<
Renos stands at six feet and four inches. He weighs around 154 pounds, most of which is muscle mass. He has black hair that is fairly long for a male's hair, dark green eyes and tan skin. There has never been a reason for him to care about his appearance, so his hair is often pretty messy and he always wears a simple t-shirt, combat boots and cargo jeans.
He has a tattoo on his left arm, the Celtic symbol of strength, but he doesn;t have any other body modifications. Anything else like piercings or more tattoos would just get in the way.

>>History<<
Renos had a fairly normal life. His father was a Reaper, as was his mother, leaving him at home to take care of his little sister. He had never been a very social person, so he spent most of his time ignoring his family and studying different weapons and war strategies. These actions were shunned by a majority of his family, mostly because they made him extremely anti-social and it seemed as though he simply didn't care about anything anymore.
When he was fourteen, he received notice that both of his parents had been killed by mutants. He was angry, but somewhat relieved at the same time. Not only did this mean he wouldn't have to listen to his parents yell at him anymore, their deaths had given him a reason to put his knowledge to good use. He abandoned his little sister and became a Reaper when he was sixteen, planning to avenge his parents, even though they had never been really close as a family.

          ɴαмe Alice Demetria Bane
Pronounced "Al-iss Deh-mee-tree-a Bayne", Alice once felt that her name was a bit too sweet and innocent to fit her personality. Yet she found that if you pronounced her name in a specific sort of cold, snake like way, she became a bit more intimidating. It's somewhat silly, getting wrapped up in how her name sounds, but random things like that matter to Alice. Most of the time, however, she prefers to be called "Alice Bane", with both her first and last names, because she likes the beat and implications of her last name (but she thinks that just being called "Bane" outright would sound stupid). "Demetria" is somewhat of a taboo name for Alice, who has a pet peeve about having three names. That seems so superfluous and unnecessary to her. She rarely writes down her full name with her middle on official documents, so people think she actually doesn't have one to begin with, but of course her birth certificate says otherwise.
          αɢe twenty three
Alice has multiple cousins on both her family's sides and one older brother. So she's basically the middle child. Her family never really gave her much, although they spoiled her brother to no end. She was born on February twenty-sixth.
          ɢeɴder female
Well, it is how it is.
          αllιαɴce reaper
Alice really doesn't care about what side wins as long as she gets paid well. Being in a government job struck her as somewhat entertaining, since she'd be running around and stuff. Alice neither likes nor dislikes killing people in particular, and personally she has nothing against the mutants. Whatever, so some humans are walking around with spikes in their heads. It's cool. But whatever gets her money and gets her by gets done.

нeιɢнт five feet seven inches [5'7'']
Alice is a relatively tall girl, but that's about the only thing that's stunning about her. Her more impressive feature, she feels, are her longer legs, which probably are the main contributor to her height. Her mother is now about two [2] inches shorter than Sherry, although her father still stands at a daunting six foot five [6'5''].
weιɢнт one hundred thirty two pounds [132 lbs]
Alice is quite thin [looking rather unhealthily so for her height, some times], shoulders bony and sloping down from her long neck. While it may seem that Sherry is mal-nourished, in reality she eats like a pig. Those who know her will recount with some amusement her bottomless stomach and light-speed metabolism. She tends to get cold easily, as she has absolutely no insulating fat on her. Sometimes Sherry considers eating McDonalds for a week without exercise to see if she would gain a huge amount of weight, just for kicks.
          ɢeɴerαl gets some eyebrow raises
Her hair is actually naturally white-blonde, much to the shock of many of her peers. A lot of time people think she dyed it or something, but she was born this way. A few years ago Sherry decided to cut most of her locks off because she was taking part in a new exercising regimen, and her hair always got in her way. She's been loving the convenience and ease of having shorter hair ever since.
Alice's eyes are more of a very gray shade of blue. While they'll rarely reveal any prominent shade of blue, in the right light they'll actually look nearly colorless, or at the very least a very light gray. They're usually filled with a rather sarcastic look.
Alice's got little appeal in terms of curvature, but she does have this regal presence that she gives off just by standing there. It's probably the hair. Or maybe the height. Or maybe just her attitude. In any case, from the get go it's clear she won't be easy to take advantage of.
While she's toned from training, Alice is poorly suited for physical, hand-to-hand combat. She's mostly the one you send in when you want someone to go in and out quickly and effectively. She's got endurance, speed, and some basic stealth, although if the target has a dog's nose then there's really nothing she can do about that. Alice is more of an acrobat, doing back flips and swinging around like some sort of monkey, balancing on some of the most narrow of surfaces. Flexible and capable of nearly dislocating her shoulders in order to twist them to the front from the back (or vice versa), Alice is hard to really hold on to -- if you're human.
Her longest feature are her legs, which make up most of her height. Her arms are somewhat longer than they should be in proportion to her torso, but they're in such a way that they look aesthetically nicer and more elegant, not freakish and abnormal.
Her hands and feet are quite small, especially considering her height. The size of her hands especially frustrates Sherry, sometimes.

perѕoɴαlιтy the likelihood is: she doesn't give a sh-t.
Alice could care less about what you do or what you decide to do with your life as long as it doesn't directly put her life in jeopardy in any way shape or form, including financially, emotionally, physically, etc. She typically has a very blank expression on her face mostly because she's almost never interested in anything, really, or if she's looking at you like she doesn't believe you could be that stupid. Either, or. In fact, the only time she really cares about something is when it's over something completely inconsequential. She makes a big deal about things that most people don't even think about (like her name, for example). She tends to burst out into a rant randomly, in the middle of a conversation, without regarding who was talking or what the subject was.
Alice typically is never very polite, but she's never really rude, either. She's just kind of hard to talk to and hard to really get a grip on. She usually doesn't have anything nice to say, but she never says anything mean, either. In fact, Alice rarely talks at all. She just blinks slowly at your stupid comments and moves on with her life.
Alice doesn't like playing with her food before eating it. She just digs right in. She finishes things quickly, efficiently, and effectively. She's not sadistic or anything, nor does she take particular pleasure in killing things (although, to be honest, she's not exactly crippled by guilt, either). When she puts her mind to it, Alice can get the job done well.
In general, Alice is a pretty sharp person, but in social interactions she's completely hopeless. Often times she doesn't know how to associate behavior with an emotion unless she's gotten enough experience to base an assumption off of. She approaches things with a very calculated sort of mind, and irrational reactions and illogical decisions literally do not make sense to her. Often times she doesn't even understand her own feelings, and she typically will keep things bottled up until they have to be let out. Alice is very underdeveloped in terms of emotional communication, although when she has a definitive plan of action, her tone is terse, to the point, and straight forward.
Alice is probably a "jack of many trades". She's not particularly excellent at one thing, but in general she's pretty decent in most fields. She has the ability to pick up on how to do things most of the time, and from then on she'll practice if she has to and neglect the skill if she doesn't. However, there are others that can easily outstrip her in one or two fields because they're talented in it. It's probably unfair to say she's "talented" in one particular thing. Rather, Alice is talented in faking talent. If that makes sense, at all.
In general, Alice prefers observation and listening rather than stepping up to the plate and being a leader or taking part of the conversation. Most of the time she really doesn't have the patience to deal with people in general, but she'll sit through a meeting or something if she has to. She's not going to risk her position because she couldn't stand sitting through some talk.
Alice has a hard time going to sleep at night and oftentimes wakes up in the middle of sleeping after perhaps half an hour and cannot go back to sleep for the rest of the day. She hates the dreams that she has and usually wakes up in cold sweat. It's probably fair to say that she's an insomniac, and often times her vision becomes blurry and unrealistic to depend on for anything. Alice also avoids driving anywhere herself when she can, preferring to take the bus or some sort of other transportation. Alice is also sometimes slow on the uptake on something. Thankfully, hallucinations are not one of her major symptoms, but she's worried that it might happen, at some point.
As a result of her insomnia, Alice is always trying to eat or have some sort of sugar intake at any point in time to keep up her energy.

тαleɴтѕ picking up on things quickly [not that she'll be the best], rote memorization, speed typing, screaming
lιĸeѕ white chocolate, listening, quiet time, stretching
dιѕlιĸeѕ pickles, foreign experiences, public speaking, sleeping
          нιѕтory karma's a b-tch
As a child, Alice was mostly overlooked as the presumably unimportant and not-so-amazing second child. In truth, Alice was much more impressive than her older brother, but apparently her parents never bothered to take notice.
Alice started out as a pretty normal kid. She liked playing with toys, she talked with herself a lot, created some imaginary friends, curled her lip at some food, and basically did what all children did. However, after being neglected and not receiving any attention at all, Alice started to develop on her lonesome. She created assumption about some things, made up her own conclusions, and went through life using the guess-and-check method, assessing reactions to her actions and using public responses to tell her how people thought she should act. Her parents were never really there, doting on her brother. She doubted they even noticed her development and how fast she was forced to mature without them.
The one thing about not being raised by her parents was that Alice was forced to come to her own beliefs and morals to stand by, and since her parents didn't care about what she did, she figured she didn't have to care about them or her brother or anyone else, really. Basically, she left people to do whatever they wanted to do because she couldn't care less what they did. She didn't get involved, she didn't speak up, and basically Alice went through life without really giving a damn unless it was for herself and for her own advancement.
Alice was quite successful in schools, but again, her parents didn't take notice. While her brother went to a fancy private school where he received the best education, Alice was hastily bundled into a public school where her parents wouldn't have to deal with her. She found the environment stifling and restrictive. She felt limited and fettered. She couldn't breathe. But she dealt with it. What else could she do? Not like she could pay for private school tuition herself.
Upon graduating high school, Alice used the saved up money she'd been hoarding cent by cent since she was old enough to legally get a paid job (and added in some extra babysitting money) to pay for the first year of college. The price was seriously cut down from the financial aid and scholarship she was granted, but Alice still had to make a lot of sacrifices. On the flip side, her brother got no scholarship but easily granted the money to be sent to college. Alice, however, managed to get into an elite school while her brother got into a very mediocre one.
Eventually, Alice graduated with honors and Cum Laude. She immediately sent out resumes everywhere. After a while of roaming, she entered politics and the government before becoming a reaper. She figured they'd need an extra hand, and she didn't really have a reason to say no.
On the other hand, her brother is struggling to find a job, being the lowest of the low rungs in economics, and her parents, their son not making up for their ridiculous investments they put into him, have finally begun to notice her. Not that she's going to return the favor.

ғαмιly Nora and Alexander Bane, her parents, and Jonah Bane, her older brother.

mmm...I don't think so. I added some supplements to the form. I hope that's okay! If not, I'll take them out and add them in to the other parts. ><
