Why do you want to be an Artist? To show the world I'm not a coward. And as this is one of the worst reasons, I don't present myself as an artist, just learned not to protest when others do. It's because someone said it takes guts to claim to be an artist. My problem is probably that, if I said I was an artist, I'd have to accept I'm a mediocre one, unsure about talent or original contribution. So I do artsy things just because I like doing it. Wanting to be an artist, in general, has an element of (supposed) freedom in it I guess. As an artist, you can do what you want and focus on yourself
