Whenever his owner sold his mother to, "A Great Home Only!" it turned out to be a con man. He sold the pregnant mare to a slaughter home and she gave birth to Coyote there. And, by law there, they couldn't slaughter a newly birthed mare and foal. So, they set the horses free, still wearing halters and lead ropes. Here, they get caught in briars by the lead rope. Once the finally got away, they were covered in sores and bruises and the halters had been implant in their faces. Animal control came and picked them up. At a high kill shelter. They were malnourished and hurting, but the workers and others didn't care. A rodeo bought them as broncos. But, they were starved and abused here, because they were to weak to go crazy. So, the mother ended up dying here. Once Coyote reached two, he was still used as a bronco. The same life. Being abused everyday for not listening and for not going crazy. The owner of Crooked C Ranch, Amber Cook, found him and rescued him one night. Yes, she stole him from the rodeo, but for his own good. She brought the weak, malnourished, under 200 pounds stallion home and nursed him back to health. Now, he's four and her best friend. No one can touch him, or he'll attack, except her.
