:: How to make Oeakaki drawings transparent ::

■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■

Step 1:

Draw a picture in oeakaki
Make sure when you are drawing, that you REMOVE the WHITE BACKGROUND on the Oekaki. The best way to start is remove layer 1 and work on layer 2 + any other layers you may need.
The image won't be transparent skipping the above step

Let's take this example.
Example

Step 2:

Get the image link
Go to your oeakaki post. Do you see your picture in the green box? Right click on the image and find "properties" in the scroll down list. Click that.
See where it says "Adress URL"? To the right of that there is a http://www.chickensmoothie.com link. Click on that link then on your keyboard do "control a" to select the link. Copy it and take it to the place where you edit your signature.
Edit your signature here

Another option is to click on the image and drag it (it will have a crossed out circle as your mouse pointer but that's alright) to the url bar. Works for IE only
For Firefox you can right click and select "View Image"

What's the URL bar?

Step 3:

Image Transparent
Okay, take the link and paste it somewhere (Word, notepad) for your first try.
Here's mine.

Alright, so it looks like a bunch of numbers, right? Well if you change a part of the url it will make the background transparent.
Do you see where it says "=auto&rev="? Change the part that says "auto" to "png".
Now put it the newly revised url in image brackets ()
Post it in your signature or the forum to test it out.
Now it should work!

I hope this helps! Any questions? Just post and I or another member will try to answer :3

MegaCherrio, please do not mini mod. I'm glad you helped, but I don't think the big posts were necessary.

And same goes to others, I'm deeply sorry I couldn't be online and reply immediately, but I will from now on.

Q: I edited some one else's oekaki, so it's a color-in. But i want to make it available to all people to edit for my contest. How do I do that?

A: If you already posted, ask mods to move it to contest and it will be ok, as long as you don't claim lines as your own.

Is there any way to do this without asking the mods to move it?
My brother Lukeroge also has an account, please do not ban either of us for cheating! Thanks! :3

I'm afraid not. Sorry, you'll just have to be patient. C:

Well, it is mostly explained as well as it can be on the front.
Well, you know where the layers are, and that you can add/remove them?

If you were for example drawing a circle, but you wanted to be able to colour in the centre without colouring the black lines in, you would create two layers. The first one, underneath the other one will have the colour on it, and the top would have the black lines. Then, if you colour on the bottom layer it won't go over the top. You can change the 'opacity' of layers too, so that other layers show through.

I hope that kind of makes sense?

If you have already uploaded it then no, it is not possible unless you want to erase every detail by hand in paint. If you have copied and pasted the transparent version in paint and then drew the words, saved as a file that has transparent background and then uploaded it to tinypic, it would probably be transparent. So no, in this stage it is in now is not possible to make it transparent. You will either have to do as I said (meaning again, but as I directed) or you can leave it non-transparent.

Click on a board you want to post it in (e.g. "Sketches and Experiment"), click as if you were to start a new drawing (so, click the "New Drawing" button) and then if you saved as you said, go under the white place for drawing and there should be a small place where says "Saved Drawings" and a preview of the drawing you said to finish later. Click on the preview and you should be able to finish the drawing.

Hope that helps. :33

I don't wanna go through 70 pages looking for the answer to this, so here it is. Sorry if it was already asked.

How do you put the image in your siggy, and how do you make it fit?

Thankies! :3

Since you already know how to put things in your siggy, I'm gonna explain you how to set the picture to be able to fit in your siggy.
First thing you want to do is right-click on the image (considering we are talking about Oekaki drawings here) and choose either "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new window". Both of those will then open the image and the image will have its url. In the url somewhere will say "size=large" and in that place instead of large, you can write medium or small, and pick the size you want. The url has to stay all the same, but that one word (large, medium, small). Copy the url and put it in between and then you can put the picture in your signature.

Hope it's understandable!
