She spaced out, imagining all the possible scenarios that could play out before realizing he was talking. She caught something about unnamed critters or safety.
":33 < well i think we can handle those monsters!" She giggled. ":33 < the great huntress can deal with anything!"

"Hi there, helpers! My name's Baloo." Baloo said, looking at the two. He looked over at Derpy.
"Wait, I know you! Your Derpy Paws." Baloo added giddily. He loved that generation of puppies ponies. He looked over at the next dog, Amara, who he immediately knew was a custom.
"Hi Amara!" Baloo barked, waving a paw slightly. He moved a little bit ahead of them, lifting his head a little higher.
"So, we can take the street, the alley, or we can follow this block of houses." Baloo called to them, flicking his tail. He smiled lightly, ready to start.

Balsatour nods shivering a bit, "T-think it could be something near by?" He looks at the dim street lights, then steps a bit closer to Baloo. "M-maybe we should check it out?" Balsatour whines, trying not to just bolt out of the area. The second something creepy jumps out I'm out of here he thought to himself but then inside he felt a bit guilty, what if something bad happened to Baloo the moment he leaves or what if he gets lost with his friend. Balsatour shakes his head, trying to clear the negative thoughts but at least he now knew he couldn't just run away and leave Baloo to fend for himself.

Baloo slightly shivered, taking a note of all his surroundings. He was here, in the dark. The dark was where creatures came out. Scary creatures...
He quickly shook his head, and lifted his head fearlessly.
"Alright then!" he barked, grinning a bit. He made sure Balsatour was close by while he was walking. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his friend. Hearing the noise a little closer, he stopped.
"Stay right here. I'm going to check it." Baloo said, padding front. He quickly knew where the sound was coming from; a trash can. With a little hesitation, he opened the lid, and found...
A dog!
"Oh wow, hi there fella. You got stuck?" Baloo laughed, pulling him out. It wasn't Zeke, just a dog. Baloo was still laughing.
"We can take this fellow back to your owner, Balsatour. Or, we can just redirect him to the main part of the square, and keep looking for Zeke or the fireworks. Your call." Baloo said, wagging his tail.

SilverKitsune: Your choice is to get to keep the dog, or keep searching for the fireworks and Zeke.

Jay dipped his head to Baloo then tilted his head reaching up to itch his right ear shaking his head and looking at the other dog, that Baloo had named as Amun. He wagged his tail slightly his ears perking at Baloo's voice, getting down low to the ground and acting like he was sniffing around he came to the third alley lifted his head up and signaled with a bark he wanted to go that way. His ears were perking waiting for a reply from Amun and Baloo. His nose twitch excitedly as the brute waited with shining ebony hues. Jay wasnt a guy of word more of action muttering a few words from time to time.

occ:I wanted to do something a bit different ^^;

Amun took a quick glance at where Jay was positioned, his ears flicking. "Perhaps we should try the third alley, Baloo, as it seems that Jay wishes to go and search there." Having said that, he sat down, tail sweeping back and forth across the ground.

"Alright. The third alley it is." Baloo said, flicking his tail with excitement. He jogged over to Jay, and waited for Amun to catch up.

Walking in front of both, making sure they didn't get hurt, Baloo looked at all his surroundings. The darkness, the only light was the moon. He could hear some faint sounds, but he thought it was all in his head. He stopped when he almost hit a wall.
"Alright, looks like it splits sides now. We can take right or left." Baloo called to them. He shuddered at the left. It was dark there, and the noises came from that side. Glancing at the right, he hoped they would choose that area; there was a dimly lit substance at the end, which he identified as the lamp.

Standing in the light of a old lamp, he greeted his new helpers.
"Hi there, Leaf and Crystal. I'm Baloo." he barked, smiling. He looked toward the street to his right side, the one with many lamps. He glanced at the left, which had less. Strange. he thought, since all streets had a even amount of lamps. He looked toward them.
"We can take right or left."

"Nice to meet you too, Baloo!" John greeted brightly, caught up in the other dogs enthusiasm. Wow, he couldn't believe he knew their names! That was really exciting; John couldn't wait to get home and tell Karkat about this. Except not, because Karkat was a butt, and he'd probably complain about 'creepy stalkers' or something stupid like that. So he wouldn't tell Karkat about this; just like he wouldn't tell Karkat he had spent the day with Nepeta, cause how many times had his boyfriend ranted about Nepeta? A lot!
"Uhm. Well, I'm totally not scared of a few critters! I mean, as long as they're not imps. Ugh, imps. But uh. What about you Nepeta?? Wanna risk facing some unnamed critters or go a safe route?" He inquired, turning to blink at her with a buck-toothed smile.

Nepeta purred, flicking her tail at Baloo. ":33 < it's just purrfect to meet you!" she giggled. She was really looking forward to getting to know this other dog. And she was paired with John too! "That's what I like to hear!" Baloo chuckled, padding into the alleyway. He looked over his shoulder, to make sure they were all close together in a group. He didn't want to separate and have them in danger. Then again, they could handle anything. He was sure about it.
Baloo shuddered at a noise in the distance. He looked back at them.
"Did you guys hear-" he didn't quite get to finish his sentence. He stared up at the sky, where a sudden boom had came from, and a red firework bursted into reds and blues. He lifted his head a bit higher.
"Oh dear. Someone's setting off a firework. Who knows if this person has more." he barked at them. Baloo turned to face them.
"The fireworks came from further up this alleyway. We can continue that way, or go back." Baloo told them, and he frowned slightly. What happened if the person, setting those fireworks... was the creature he was trying to avoid.

"How about we turn right?" The princess happily asked, following Baloo

Baloo nodded and turned right. He padded next to the princess, and smiled slightly. He could see something in the far distance. Some light of a sort. He turned back to her.
"Want to check the light out?" Baloo asked her, stopping to hear the princess' answer.

John gave a small jump at the loud noise, gazing up in wonder at the colors filling the sky. "Hehe! Hey, its like, fireworks for Dave and I!" He stated excitedly, tail wagging at the red and blue sparkles as they faded. Then he let his gaze refocused on Bloo, cause he actually looked really nervous about the fireworks. Why though?? Fireworks were pretty awesome, in Johns opinion!
"But aren't we supposed to be searching for Zeke and fireworks?? Maybe those are the ones we're looking for!" He barked, doing a small excited dance on the spot. "That'd be kind of boring through I guess, but still! Seems kind of silly to turn around without even checking it out!" Seemed like an adventure to him!

Balsatour looks at the poor dog and barks out "Well...if we go take him back to my owner will we be able to keep looking for the fireworks and Zeke? I don't really want this fellow to have to go off alone in this dark night..." He looks at the trembling dog then back at Baloo, wondering what would be the right choice.
