No, but I'm sure everyone is busy with assorted things, especially with summer vacation and holidays. As for me, I've got schooling that's keeping me tied up. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be active again soon enough

These Ahzenai once had companions but have decided to return to Ahzen to seek a new path in life.

Rules:

De Faye Sighed and opened a single crystal blue eye, from her back she watched as groups of humans milled about lazily in the delightful morning sun. Her body thrumming with delighted purrs she closed her eyes and stretched out her full length, exposing her creamy underbelly to the sun's warming rays. She opened her great Jaws in a delicate yawn, exposing rows of deadly teeth. slowly sifting to her stomach, she opened both her eyes fully, and looked out over the edge of the lichen and soft-moss nest she had come to call home.

Her eyes once again came to settle on the group of Humans, they were a curious group, always flocking to the vortex at the barest hint of the birth of a new Ahzenai. They had done that for her once, back when she was shiny, new, and impressionable. She had been advised against choosing then. Yet now, now her paws itched to walk side by side with a human, she wanted to see the world through the eyes of another, she wanted to learn, but most of all she wanted to read.

With a light wine she lifted a single cream colored paw to her face,
But Why? Why do i feel the need, the need to leave all i have ever known? I have everything i could have ever wanted here, there is plenty of food, and the other single Ahzenai keep my company enough.

Slowly she let her paw fall back to the ground, it landed with a muffled thud. She stared at it for a few seconds, then looked up,
To choose a companion means to choose a mortal life ...
under any other circumstances she would ask another more experienced Ahzenai, yet she knew in her heart of hearts only she could decide her fate. IN one practiced fluid movement she rose to her feet and began vigorously washing her fur, it was only fitting that a lady look her best before making a potentially life shattering decision.

Some long minuets later she rose once again to her feet, head high she made her way to the edge of the lake. Along the way crystal blue eyes met each opposing pair, she kept her steps measured, trying her best to hide the conflicting well of emotions deep within her. As she neared her destination a single ray of sunlight caught her well groomed pelt, the light glimmered on each hair engulfing her body in a shimmering cascade of Red and blue fire. hearing a few appreciative sighs she bounded forward with a joyous laugh before once again reining in her emotions. Quickly she righted her gate to a fluid motion, till she reached her destination. After checking the area for the cleanest spot, she daintily settled her body into a sitting position, wrapping her tail tightly around her back legs.

For a few moments she sat facing the crowd, unsure of what to say to them.
Just.. act.. Natural ...
She gave a tight smile, then voice high she squeaked her first words to the crowd.

"Hello I am De Faye"

Her thick Spanish accent hindered her pronunciation, and she was dismayed to see many humans look at her in confusion. With a sigh she forced her self to relax, if only just a little. Once again she spoke.

"Forgive me, I have never spoken to such a large group. I am De Faye. It has been many months since my deception from the vortex, and I have spent those years alone. In this time I have learned much about myself, and what I want in life. I wish to read, and to learn. It is said that knowledge is power, and it is knowledge that i want. I wish to hear the tales of hero's long past, and hero's yet to come. But there is one thing in life i do not wish to do, travel. I do not wish to soil or ruin my pelt in the mud and filth of the road. So if this is the only thing you have to offer, you have no place with me. "

silence stretched on after her speech, It was to be expected, not many scholars made the long trip to Ahzen, yet deep in De Faye's blue orbs she still held on to the thread of hope, that her perfect companion, one who could ease the strain of mortality would find her here.

De Faye has still not been adopted, It has been months since she went up for adoption. This is a last ditch effort to get her into a new home, If no one applies for her I will request Onyx to allow me to keep her ^^
