Why I want this Character:
Why wouldn't I want this little beauty? She's absoloutly amazing, and one of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. I want this character because she seems to just speak to me. I was scrolling down through the available characters, and I saw her. She lept out of the screen at me, this little girl is just so beautiful. These adoptables are gorgeous, and I'm surprised that they don't have more stalkers, but I'm sure that'll change in a little itty bitty bit. This wolf also reminds me of myself a little, but I don't really want to explain it all since it's super personal and I don't really want to post it here; but she has many of the things that I do; my eyes and her eyes are the same color, and we both seem a little mournful. My friends say I always look like I'm about to cry, and so does she -in my opinion. Mainly, I love her because she seems so powerful, silent, strong, and a little sad. Beautiful.
Name:
Starshine
Age:
Two years of age
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Starshine is rather silent and plainly obediant, though dignified and holding an almost soldier-like posture, but not one of a commoner, one of a general. Quiet and well thought out, she scans everyone before letting them close to her, to make a point. Though she may seem cut off and reserved, Starshine is actually quite sweet and sympathetic to others, and she never has any reason to hurt the anyone, but does act as if they aren't there and that she lives in a private world. But, however, she is very strong-willed, and usually consents to have her own way. Around friends and close ones, Starshine is very relaxed and funny, which some find surprising if they only saw the female that they thought that they knew, but it is really just a mask that is worn to mask inner turmoil and duty. She sometimes seems to by almost shy, but glaring defiantly out at anyone who appears to seem disturbed at her behavior. Every now and then, Starshine will melt away into the shadows to think and reflect; this usually happens at night, or later evening so that she can rethink the day and see what she could do better with tomorrow.
Agile and swift, Starshine is not a lax and lazy wolf, but rather ridgid and slightly strict with her regimin. She can run very fast, dodge trees that seem to pop up out of nowhere, and of course, save a life with her amazing leaps. That is her most amazing physical trait, Starshine can leap as if she had wings; both parallel to the earth and vertically, jumping for the sky, the sun and the moon. She is very spiritual, and meditates for long periods of time when she has nothing to do, most often this is when doesn't have to be on her toes constantly. Someone else may have her back, or everything is so crowded that she needs to take a minute to pause and relax; as while she may be a good and alert wolf, she agrees that there is such a thing as overworking, and knows she must be in top physical and mental form if her loved ones are to be safe and sound, and able to sleep peacfully in their den while she watches the night like a silent, ghostly sentry. A major flaw in Starshine's personality is that she is very opinionated and sometimes doesn't know when is the right time to be silent, and when is the right time to be free and loud. She can also be a little too persistant, which can be annoying.
History:
The black and white young wolf raised her head. Something was wrong. She didn't know what it was, but it was a deep hurt. Lifting her body on slim legs, feet wavering, afraid of what was ahead. Well, better to be killed a warrior's death than one of a cowering snivelus. Gritting her teeth, Starshine crept forth, one step. Two. Three. Many more. A soft voice sounded behind her,
"I wouldn't do that if I was your, you will only find pain if you view that scene," and like a lady, Starshine lept into the air in fright, swirling around and gracefully landed on her 'attacker'.
"What do you want?" she growled, leaping away as if she had just landed on a squirming nest of maggots. The male was. . . there and not there. He was clearly there, he was standing just to her left. But, he was transparent and the slightest shift in light rendered him invisable. "What are you?" Starshine asked, not caring about being kind and manerly at this point. He smirked.
"You really don't know, Starshine?" She shook her head, feeling stupid. He grinned. "I suppose that that's for the best, my dear. The truth would make you afraid of me, and I don't want that. Yet," Turning away from him, Starshine sniffed,
"I suppose that it makes you feel secure, knowing who you are. It's a great thing, you know," came her sneering reply. Laughing.
"It is, Starshine. Lucky for me, I know who you are too," But one should never underestimate the power of a smallish female wolf, especially when one's target is unprepared. Landing in a heap behind him, Padme raised herself off the ground. He had vanished.
"Where are you, you coward! Stand and fight me, you pitiful excuse for a wolf!" She roared angrilly into the great big nothing. A deafening silence followed her outburst. Flinging herself onto the ground, Padme pushed her head fur out of her eyes, letting the cool breeze wash over her like a wave, calming her sudden anger like water on a fire.
Sighing, the wolf stood and padded slowly into the clearing where the spirit had told her not to go. One step in, and a box dropped from the canopy of leaves, and Starshine was trapped. Thrashing about, she spewed the most vile words that came to mind, as something sharp pricked her rump.
Everything
Went
Black.
Waking up in a cage. Being fed. Sleeping. Flat faces looking at her. Talking in a strange garbled way. Where was she? Then, Starshine saw the sign, and understood. The Pound. He was right. She would never get to the wild again. Dipping her head, Starshine acknowlaged that he was right.
