Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?: Currently, I have exactly one character, my fennec fox Kriya. I draw her all the time. If I'm doing personal art, she's in it. However, she's been getting real lonely. I just don't have anyone else to draw her with. I'm not very good at character designing myself, I can rarely come up with a design I truly like. My favorite types of characters have natural markings, and have markings similar to what that kind of animal would have in real life. I was inspired to get a dog character recently. I don't have any pets of my own, but I am dog sitting. I found dogs to be excellent companions, playful, and overall relaxing to be around. I knew that this is the kind of friend I want Kriya to have, and the kind of character I would have fun drawing on a regular basis. Since I'm broke on every single site I frequent, (CS, Mweor, DeviantART) I thought I would have some problems trying to find a unique character that didn't cost me what precious money/CS pets I have left. I found this adoption center to be perfect! I had a bit of a hard time deciding upon a character to try and adopt, but I think that Sparky, who is named after my aunt's old dog, is perfect.
Personality: (It makes more sense to read History first.) Even though he has seen a fair amount of trauma, Sparky remains puppy like in every way. His bark may not be as high pitched as when he was a puppy, but his personality remains as bright and cheerful. By bright, I mean happy, not necessarily smart. He knows basic command and is house broken, but he often does funny dog things like barking at the strange animal in mirrors. He has a fear of hair dryers and always jumps when any electronics like the lights or a TV is turned on. His favorite chew toys are footballs, but he has three toys that he hasn't managed to rip to shreds-a toy alligator with no stuffing and only it's left button eye, a rubber ball with a hole through the middle for nearly impossible to reach treats, and a pink flamingo that still has all its stuffing, except in its left wing which has almost been torn off completely.
Sparky loves to bark, and constantly does so. He wants to jump up on everyone he sees, and play with every dog that walks by. He's a medium sized dog ranging towards big, so if he catches whoever's walking him off guard, it's easy for them to accidentally drop the leash and leave him streaking down a street or sidewalk. He has a bit of hunting dog in him, and will fight to chase down birds and rabbits. He also makes a nice mouser, if you don't mind dead mice at the foot of your bed.
His big heart is full of affection, and he loves to greet people with licking. When especially excited, he spins around in a circle, crouches down into the play position dogs do, and repeats. He doesn't sit still for long, and his tricks like sit are short lived. However, that doesn't make him a trouble maker. If he's told off when he does something bad, he usually remembers it. However, he finds that sneaking onto forbidden furniture even though he knows it's off limits is worthwhile.
His favorite food is chicken, and he prefers the expensive and smelly wet food brands over dry food. His favorite treats are the hard, dental kind that he has to work to chew through. Sparky is very enthusiastic about his treats, and will do almost anything to earn one. If he has to wait too long before getting a treat, he starts to fidget and whimper loudly. He also does this if someone takes too long to throw a tennis ball for him. He loves to chase old ones, and doesn't mind the new ones either.
History: He was an accidental litter, and because of that given to free to a family with two young kids in Florda. He lived most of his puppyhood happily, being specifically trained to live with toddlers. His name then was Rex. Unfortunately, that life was short lived. A hurricane swept through the area, and when the family evacuated, they didn't have time to bring him along. The storm was beginning to rip off shingles of their house, when Sparky chased a rabbit too far into the bushes, leaving the property. When the family left, he was alone in the storm, but managed to find a crevice to hide in. He was found by a rescue team, in fairly good condition. His paw was fractured, and he had numerous cuts and scrapes, one of which was infected, but he healed very nicely and turned out to be an excellent pet. If I Roleplay with him, which I most likely will, I will change his history slightly into him surviving the hurricane, healing, and roaming the wilderness as a stray if the storyline sees fit. However, as I imagine his story really ends, he is adopted and currently lives with a kind and loving family, which will most likely be portrayed by me. x3
Other: I see him more of a dog that I would draw, not so much write about or Roleplay with. Instead of a dog character with human charactaristics, I wanted him to be a dog character that seemed like exactly that-a dog. His personality may seem run of the mill, but I feel that it's unique quirks really give him, well, character. (Those quirks being his fears of blow dryers, fascination with footballs, and his love of off-limits couches as a few examples.)

Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?: I would like this character because hes simple in looks but when i see him i see something complex on the inside, i see a really smart mind. I will always love him and noone needs to worry about me getting rid of him ^^
Personality: Patriot is very sweet and loving. He is very much into all the celebrations that cities, states, countries, etc. have in honor of all that they have gone through.
History: Patriot was always exited about patriotism as a pup. When Patriot became a teen he started getting his fur dyed in certain spots in the colors of his country to show off. Patriot is still a teen and still loving patriotism
Other: I fell in love with this guy the second i saw him XD sorry im not too good with my literature skills (wait... i have none XD)

Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:
I love the simplicity of his design, how he is pure gray with black and white paws. The necklace adds just the right touch. He reminds me of my first cat, who was gray. I would simply DIE if i won him.

If i win Jay, i will draw him all the time. None of my characters get left out. :3 I will put him in my book of characters. I will use him in my stories, and sketch him in class. [hehe...]

Personality:

Quiet.
Jay is a quiet, kept to himself tom. He often ponders why there is life, and very complex questions. He is no super-genius, but he does love thinking. Even so, he is quite a nerd. Jay loves playing checkers and most board games. He is mostly shy, but if he gets angry, he can get very loud. He is sure that if he had friends, he would always look out for them. His favorite computer game is Minecraft. Jay also enjoys fist person shooters, and most video games in general. Reading isn't really his thing, but he will do it when he has to.

History:
Have you ever heard the theory that there is a parallel universe for everything? Well that is where Jay came from. He looks like a cross between two of my characters, so, he is there kit from another universe, witch in they had kits.

Jay's Grandfather kept a cover something large in his attic, and one day Jay got curious. He grabbed the dusty sheet between his teeth and yanked. /insert dramatic music here/ He coughed as dust flew everywhere, masking the machine for a moment. "Whoah" He muttered, reading the futuristic letters. "Teleportation Machine" He whispered in awe. And as any teen would do, he stepped in and started jabbing away at buttons. So mesmerized by the colorful lights, he didn't see huge flashing one behind him. Until the sirens started. "WHEEEWWW WHEEEWWW WHEEEWWW" Jay spun around to see in flashing red lights; "MALFUNCTION!"

Jays ears went flat. His mouth opened but he couldn't scream. In a few seconds he was standing at the base of what seemed to be a stone temple. In the middle of a jungle. From the inside he could hear someone talking. Then another voice. Jay decided to check it out. He staggered into the stone /House?/, Suddenly realizing how exhausted he was. As he walked in the door, he saw two quite familiar cats; His parents. "Mom?!? Dad?!?" He mewed, right before getting some strange looks. "I think you are mistaken. Im not your mom." A gray and rainbow she-cat stated. "And I'm definitely not your dad." Said a very confused white and black cat. "But.. look!" He yelped, placing out his paws. "The colors! And if thats not enough, i was talking to you yesterday!" Then he froze. "Never mind.. I think i know what happened." He watched The white cat whisper to the gray one, what he could barley make out as "That kid is crazy." Jay sighed. This was getting pointless. He decided to find somewhere else to go. Maybe he should explore the strange land.

Jay soon found that the jungle wasn't as thick as it looks, and not far from it was a beach-side town. The town was small, but he found somewhere to eat; a small beach shack that served fish and smoothies. After a while he started to walk down the beach. It was now sunset, and he knew it would be cold at night. Jay found shelter in a rocky cave a few miles from the town. The cold floor was far from comfortable, but at least he had shelter. Eventually he fell asleep.

What seemed like a minute later he woke to the sound of water dripping from the roof. And someone snoring. "hey what gives!?!" Said a new voice, from a far corner of the cave. "Who the heck are you?" The voice said, prodding Jay with a fluffy paw. Jay looked up to see a small tan-yellow cat with blue stars on his pelt glaring at him. "I-im sorry, i didn't know you lived here.. ill be on my way now." Jay mewed, sadly. Jay winced as he spoke, realizing how hungry he was. "Wait a second!" The new cat yelped, "I didn't even get you name!" Jay looked over his shoulder as he spoke, "Im Jay." "Im Dip." The yellow cat said. "Now what are you doing around here?" Jay told Dip what had happened, as Dip listened in awe. "And now i don't know what to do.." He finished with. "Well you could stay with me" Dip said cheerfully. Jays ears perked up. "Well i do need somewhere to stay.. If it isn't any trouble, then i guess ill stay here."

AND THEN THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Jk, but i may or may not finish it. If i don't, then judge it anyway.

At a first glance, personality looks short. I try not to give too much advice (love helping out, but I feel like it's cheating if I told anyone who asked how to make their form to where I would say yes XD), but just keep in mind: depth and originality. I don't know about the others, but you could have a VERY detailed application, but if it's not original, you won't have my vote. You want an in depth personality that is fleshed out (with realistic strengths and realistic flaws) along with a unique, but smooth history (sometimes the plain ones can be the best, as long as it's described well, makes sense, and few to no holes). That's just my advice though (for any general applicant). O3O
