Story! Magick played to far into dark magics and mechanics as a kitten, which only increased as she grew, causing her mutations. Cast off from her home, she wandered until being brought to the pound. It was a lonely place, and the people who came in adopted the others, but not her. There she stayed, until gentle face peered through the bars, slipping one finger in to stroke a rainbow colored wing. She smiled, knowing she had found the perfect kitty for her home (which was filled with odd people anyway). Magick purred, feeling the kind aura of this new friend and content to stay with her, forever.

Story!

Anais was born to a lovely couple on Kitty Island. The mother was a gorgeous female with a dusty gray pelt and rainbow wings. A stunning aura always surrounded this individual and most cats on the island claimed she was a goddess of the group. In reality, she wasn't, but her beauty overwhelmed others to the point of infatuation. The father was born and raised elsewhere. Shoved into a suit of dull colored armor, he was forced to send messages gallantly through an important war. Also delivering strategies between their teams' posts, he always carried a pencil behind his ear. He lost his left eye in the war and some of the armor was scalded to his skin, making it a permanant mark.
Ana was definitely a mix of her angelic mother and gruff father. She was a daredevil with beauty like her mother's. Always told to be silent, she was tired of being silenced and decided to explore the island one day. She left home late at night, as it was the only time her mother wasn't fussing over her ladylike posture and acting more like a female. The engulfing blackness of night was frightening, but she managed to pull through it with the help of the Big Dipper shining beautifully over her head.
Suddenly, a pair of hands lifted her up and Anais squalled desperately. "Will she be good enough?" one lighter voice asked, sounding much like a woman. The cat had heard and seen humans walk around the Island before, often scooping up a dream kitten to take home. "She will definitely do." another deeper voice answered. Shoved into a burlap bag, the cat was whisked away to a secretive location. She found herself falling asleep, and gradually lulled herself into the comforting state.
Upon waking, Anais felt heavy and slightly dizzy. She was standing, held up by supports. "She's awake!" the familiar woman voice exclaimed softly, removing the supports so the cat could move on her own. Ana fell over, the silver upon her body too heavy. It was armor. "She'll be just like her father. Great," the man mumbled. "He did the same thing upon being equipped." Anais was shoved into a cage after that, the silence overwhelming. The armor squeaked whenever she moved, making it hard to fall asleep once more.
Gunshots and shouting registered as Ana woke once more. She jumped as a bullet skimmed by the armor protecting her wings. She'd give anything to get her wings back if she lost them! Apparently, her father was a messenger, and she was going to be one, too. Two backpacks rested by her sides, held to her flanks by straps along her stomach and back. They were heavy, as if they held rocks. "Look out!" a voice exclaimed, making the cat jump and begin to run. Before she knew it, someone had her by the armor in her tail and was holding something to her side. A bang went off, and Ana slipped into unconciousness.
Beep. Beep. Beep. It sounded as if someone was on a heart monitor. Anais opened her eyes slightly, feeling lighter. The armor was gone! She was warm, in a cocoon of blankets on a bed. The doctor Kitty gazed at the waking cat, and then two bustling parents slipped into the room. "Mum! Dad!"
The mother and father hugged their daughter until she couldn't breathe. "We thought we'd lost you forever!" they exclaimed. Anais looked confused and brushed the crust out of her eyes. "Dad, I had the worst dream. It felt like I was in a war." Her father bowed his head solumnly.
"You see, that did happen. One of the other messengers recognized you as our daughter upon finding your unconcious body on the battlefield. He brought you back here and we heard you were in the hospital." her father explained, obviously close to tears. "We'd been looking for weeks. Two, to be exact."
Ana's eyes flickered from her father to her mother. "Mum, dad, I promise I'll never run away ever again," she promised, giving her parents another hug. Her mother gasped, making Anais jump. "Look, honey, she has welded armor, too," she pointed out, making her father grin. "I always knew you were more like me," Ana's father teased.
