Pup I Want:
Pup #6, the lovely eel.
Why I want this Pup:
I, in all my wierd glory, love eel. His design is very unique and I would love an aquatic character.
What I'll do with the Pup:
Use it as a character and write stories.
Name of Pup:
Link
Gender of Pup:
Male
Personality:
Link is as sly and slippery as any eel. He loves dark crack and crevices, and loves exploring the depths of the ocean. He loves to play tricks on people, albeit frightening ones. One of his favourites is swimming around peoples' feet and then disappearing when they look down, scaring them more and more as he does it.
Story:
Link was swimming around his little pond, as usual, when he heard a quiet splashing. He assumed it was just a small fish and decided it would be a good time for lunch. As he swam towards the noise, he was unaware he was being followed.
He got to the source. It was a small fish, but it wasn't lunch -- at least not his lunch. The fish had been bitten in half by something.
"Whoa." Link whispered as the fish was yanked out of the water by a bird with a long bill, huge wings, and long, spindly legs. Link darted into the shadows, his tail whipping through the murky water behind him. The bird gulped down the fish and snapped at Link's tail, narrowly missing the end.
"That was close." Link said. He sat in the shadows, panting, as the bird's legs lifted out of the water and it flew away. When at last he felt safe, he slipped out of the shadows and swam away. He still didn't have lunch.
Link decided to look for shellfish. As he snuffed around in the silt, he disturbed a small clam.
"Yes!" he whispered. He scooped up the clam in his mouth and took it over to the crevice he called his home. He set it down and started to pry it open. He broke it apart, sucked out the inside, and smiled. It was very good. He swam into his home and settled down. Link fell into a deep, undisturbed sleep.

Pup I Want: #3, the little clownfish.
Why I want this Pup: I love clownfish. His design is so cute!
What I'll do with the Pup: I would love to use him or Link in a story about hybrid species.
Name of Pup: Elijah
Gender of Pup: Male
Personality: Elijah has a very colourful personality. He is friendly to all and loves to play. He lives up to his species (well, half-species), the clownfish, because he's very funny and loves making jokes. His favourite thing to do is swim around his pond, playing with the children.
Story: "Hello?" Elijah peered out from his patch of underwater plants. He could've sworn he heard something.
"Who's there?" he asked warily. There was no response from the crystal-clear waters. Elijah searched the shadows, but there was no one there, either.
"Strange," he whispered, paddling along in the pond. He wished he was more like the eel-dog in the next pond over. He could get around so much easier.
Seeing as it was winter and no one would want to play, Elijah set off in search of food. It was shellfish or tiny fish. He went with the always-plentiful tiny fish, snapping them up as he swam through their school, chasing the ones that got away back in. Chasing them was fun, and he occupied himself with rounding them up and scattering them. But that, too, got boring soon enough, and he went to find out what else he could do besides play with underwater plants. He sighed. Elijah lived a boring life.
