Cool name and faerre! <3
The Altar bustled with life once more, seems word of Tenme's silent departure brought desperate wooers running towards the Altar. For days, visitors camped outside the Altar, waiting and searching for another Faerre that might try to sneak away unnoticed once more. Finally, one bright, clear morning, the crowd got what they wanted.
The bugles rang loud and clear over Vinara and people shoved and crammed themselves into seats as they eagerly waited for the newest departing Faerre. Without wasting time the departing Faerre stepped out from behind the curtains gracing the Altar with her colorful presence. Nairebis curtsied and stepped up facing the ginormous crowd. "Hello I'm Nairebis, it's a mouthful I know." She chuckled lightly, surprising the crowd as she leaped off the stage and approached the first row of audiences. She let them touch her smooth fur and purred when one scratched behind her ear, "I'm searching for a companion that can show me that they can take care of me." she said as she turned around walking back to the Altar. "I like being pampered after all." She laughed softly.

The lovely Elven Princess. A bit spoiled. And very funny. She acts like doctor who. But hey, fun is fun. She has bleach blonde hair and purple eyes

Dawn
Character being used: Dawn
(My nickname, but not real name... So in other words, myself!)
Artwork by Aracenae!
A girl walked along the many times treaded path quietly. Her foot steps three, maybe four times bigger then the pawprints already pressed into the lightly soaked dirt. The dark chocolate brown dirt filling the treads of her soft pastel green boots..or slippers? The girl's coal black hair was loose around her shoulders and fell loosly to about her mid-back. She wasn't exactly tall, not medium or 'right' sized easier. Many would call her short, but she herself would call herself 'funsized'. Thats correct, this particular girl was a bit short. Her dark brown eyes were slightly hardened and stressed yet showed a soft caring touch. Her skin lightly tanned, yet in the shining Summer light seemed pale. The newly blossemed leaves in the trees shadowed and dappled her skin as the canopy encased her. Her clothes were simple, nothing fancy. A soft, fuzzy, pastel green sweater, plain grey jeans, and the soft green boots or slippers. She wore no make-up or accessories, nothing special, maybe casual? This girl, whos' friends call her Dawn.
Dawn walked quietly a small but warm smile glowing across her face. She let the soft and gental sounds of nature fill her ears, and felt the sun beams of summer warm her skin. The gentle breeze gently played with her hair, and the touch of dew drops to her hands as she brushed them along the underbrush. Everything was peaceful here...wherever she was. It was relaxing, compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. Work time at school, sports in the evening, and still homework after that! But finally, as Summer dawned upon the city side things calmed down, when people were ready for their well earned break. She drifted off into her thoughts as she came across a path. It was well tread, many times for that matter, but seemed abondened for some time. Ferns had started to grow across the dirt road, and the dirt looked cracked and dusty. Yet, there were new footsteps and paw steps for that matter in the dusty dirt. Curiosity lit her gaze but she stayed where she was, as she gazed on she saw another path. ONe less taken, with bushes covering the dirt road and a flush of green crowding the already small space. She looked at both paths an old saying comeing to mind.
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” Robert Frost. Adventure lit her gaze and she followed the less traveled by path. She [censored] under branches, stepped over newly growing fronds, and finally reached the end of the beaten path. Dawn was caught by surprise at the sight. There before her was a beautiful waterfall and meadow. Lush green grass, a variety of rainbow coloured flowers, and the sond of the tumbling waterfall. How beautiful it was, with the bright blue sky above, nothing could ruin a place like this. She lay down in the grass on her stomach and dragged her hand soundlessly through the crystal blue pool under the waterfall. It was relaxing, a perfect place to stop and think, to be yourself, and to have fun. Soon after the discovery she drifted off into the cloudy place of Dreamland.
The image infront of her was fuzzy, but definatly there. A place built finely, with a stone castle, fresh Summer gardens, a square or market place, and whats this? Perhaps a stage or altar? Many had gathered, most in fine and well crafted clothing. Animals such as wolves, butterflies, and some odd creatures for that matter with sleek fur and glittering eyes. All eyes, fixed upon one thing, something that sparked an interest in all; to gather in the amazing place. A soft mint green Faerre, with a blooming of well pampered lilac purple, sunset orange, and sun yellow fur along her back. The creature of this kind was truly interesting, letting the others touch her with either rouch or caressing touches. She even heard a small purr as someone scratched her behind the ear. Nairebis the name rang out far away.
Dawn awoke with surprise at the dream, it seemed so real, so vivid! This place really was quite relaxing. The excited chatter and soft purring reached her ears not far off. She scrambled to her feet and trudged off in the direction of the voices. The soft and rich sound of bugals played as she emerged from the well hidden forest close to the each of a clearing. BEfore her was the crowd in her dreams, people and animals of well groomed and crafted trinkets and items. Already many had lined up infront of a...a Faerre! Dawn stumbled back in surprise as her dream flooded her memories. How could it be? A Faerre as beautiful as she would want to leave this magnificent place? Perhaps she just wanted to get away from it all like she had. Dawn looked out across the line and sat down crossed legged in the grass by the forest watching. The Faerre let others caress her, rather enjoying it? This Faerre Nairebis wanted the caressing touch of someone, to be pampered with love, and to never be forgotten. A smile came broad on her face at the little Faerre's demands, they were truly genuine for one so different.
AS she continued to watch fondness formed. It wasn't just like, or like like, maybe it was love? Love for something she had never met before, never spoken, never touched, how was it possible? She lay back in the grass pondering the thought, maybe she should go and talk? Even if the little Faerre didn't chose her, she had tried hadn't she? Tried to make the Faerre see her ways, to perhaps understand them, and maybe like them? It had set to almost the moon at it's high peak when she finished her pondering. SO many questions, so many answers. The question here now was, would you take a chance? Would you accept the change? Dawn stood up and walked towards the Faerre stepping up the altar steps with ease and sitting down cross legged infront of her.
She didn't utter a word, watching the movements of Nairebis' flank rise rythamicly up then down. After moments of this she took a breath, and didn't shiver as many others did as a cool breath ruffled her hair. HEr casual clothing providing her the warmth and soft touch she needed. Dawn watched Naiebis again, she had had a long day; listening to others, the gentle pats, beautifully made gifts. Dawn couldn't offer much as for a present, but she didn't seem to mind but rather did feel a bit under-dressed compared to the others in fine robes.
"One who I found, who I thought i'd never seek. I must say, I just had to peek. With a soft warming smile, I would walk the extra mile. Just to see where you are meant to be. Looking and watching for the right one, but along the way; remember to have fun. A caressing touch--" Dawn gently caressed Nairebis's cheek with a warm and gentle hand.
"I must say, perhaps I love you just too much..." Dawn trailed off, and tipped her head thoughtfully.
" I do hope you don't mind that Nairebis." She gently picked up Nairebis and set her in her lap, off the cold altar floor. She wrapped her arms around Nairebis to keep her warm, Dawn's sweater soft and warm to the touch, making sure still the Faerre could still see her face. All the while, while she spoke rubbing Nairebis gently behind the ear.
"I am Dawn, well at least. That is my nickname. Nairebis, you are looking for a home where you are loved, pampered every day, caressed with gentle touches or strokes, and even maybe a place where you are never forgotten. I'm sorry but I have no special gifts to give you, as I see you've been given many. I apologize for my casual and plain clothes, as I also see others are dressed so finely to see you. I mean no disrespect, but I thought i'd offer you my home, love, and care. I promise you'll be loved, my family is truly nice. My mother will bake you still warm treats, my father singing lullabies, my brother will play around with you...and I you may ask? I will give you my time, love, and loyalty. " She stopped talking, letting Nairebis take what she said in, after all Dawn had realized she had begun to slightly babble. But the feelings were still true.
"I know a place, where its relaxing, where you can stop and think. Perhaps you could visit it before you make your decision, so you know that you consider and not forget everyone. " Dawn bent down slightly her warm breath gently tickling the Faerre's ear.
"Just head towards the forest, take the path less taken by and you will be there." She gently stroked Nairebis's fur distractidly. Moments past and she hated to go, but the impatient sounds behind her knew it was time.
" I hope you find someone who will always be there for you. Good bye mon chérie." She gently picked up Nairebis once more and set her on the altar stone again. She stood up and stepped back onto the stairs, brushing the dust off then heading back into the forest, and to the waterfall.
