Forestei Featherlium

Postby Dr. Vineta » Mon May 28, 2012 4:54 am

Main

These are my new species. They live in the hearts of forests, and are Omnivores. They will not eat any creature bigger than themselves, but will easily win a battle. They're strength is mighty, and the membrane of their wings are made of the most beautiful spider's wonderful, silky web. The strong, skeleton that holds them together is made of Redwood.
They have a beautiful long, light, fluffy tail to help them balance when in flight. It also helps them be quicker yet quiet while moving through the forest.
They have a variety of antlers and horns between the many Forestei Featherlium. From Antelopes, from the heart of Africa, or from Moose, in the depths of the Arctic. It helps them rummage through dead leaves to find food such as plants, maybe even some bugs. They also help them to rock trees to get down food such as fruit, or maybe birds which can't fly (Kakapo, chicks etc). The strongest part of them is the fighting. These extremely strong beast-like antlers are very hard to be beaten. They are very strong.
The spikes on their nose upwards, stopping at the forehead, are used to attract a mate, alongside the antlers. They can also rub against each other to make the most beautiful sound.
Females don't have antlers, as you'd call them. They have horns, like Antelope horns, or Bison horns. No big ones.

Ancestors

The Forestei Featherlium's ancestors live in the cold, snowy mountains near and in the Arctic. This is the place they live, but they sometimes stay on nearby icebergs.
Their coat is a lot more fluffy, and they have a bigger tail. They also have feathery wings, not redwood and spiderweb wings.
The antlers of the 'Arcticina Iceai' as they're called, are a lot bigger. Even on the females, but the females still don't have antlers, just horns.
They also have the same spikes on the nose, but they are made of ice and snow.

I will also be making the species which are the Forestei Featherlium's ancestors soon!
