customs are always very individual pets and there is usually never any pet like them you also get the option to have anything you want including colours and even add ons. Add ons actually don't come with the line art and therefor it can take a lot of time and effort on an artists part to create. Customs should always be made to a high standard and as such can be edited many times until it is right so the person paying gets exactly what they want this can also take a lot of an artist time and hard work. There is always a chance, particularly with very complex designs, that you will never see a kit with the exact markings you want and customs ensure this but this means an artist has to go out of their way (although i'm sure they enjoy it) to do so. Also I've compared rates to other adoptables and most are the same so (hopefully) it is a fair price and as far as i'm aware most artists here will go out of their way to help you pay if you just ask ^^ I think it's fair that you give an artist a pet they desire for one you desire.

Customs are usually more expensive than breeding's (at least in my case) as in a breeding you do not choose the outcome. You can't change it. The kit will just be cross between two parents and can not have any add ons unless one of the parents have it and the artist decides to add it. It is therefor not up to the 'customer' what it looks like so i believe they shouldn't pay as much but that's just my opinion other artists may have different terms ^^

Ya, i guess so. It's just that I wanted one.

If you're having trouble i'd suggest messaging the artist (we don't bite....hard XD) you want and see whether they'll take anything else you have (for example there are some pets i would take that i don't mind duplicates of but i don't put them on my wishlist if i already have them as i get stupid trades) if not i'm afraid you'll either have to save or wait until you can.
