The World of Foximps
Pretty new intro will go right here. As soon as I'm not too lazy to write it. Old intro for reference.
Foximps are canine creatures ranging in size from house cat to hummingbird. They come in many different species however only a few have been so far discovered. They may come in any pattern or colour and have varied personalities. Foximps mate for life however they may breed once before settling down with another Foximp. There are 3 known genders for Foximps as well, of course male and female but also the very rare Ungendered. These foximps are neither male nor female however they can still breed. A foximp will have up to 4 pups in a litter, there can occasionally be more or less.

Rules
-No copying/editing of the lines or colouring of Foximps.
-No claiming Foximps as your own idea/species.
-Do not use another Foximp without the owner's permission.
-Please keep Foximps here on CS. You may add them to your personal character site if you'd like.
-Do not take credit for the colouring or designs of adopted Foximps.
-Do not ask when new batches/litters/customs/breedings will be open. They are at random when I have time.
-Please do not ask if I need any artists/mods/staff. If I do I will make it publicly known.
-Please do not spam the thread, questions are fine but random chat needs to be taken elsewhere. This includes 'I want one!', 'I missed the opening :c', 'Marking', etc.
-No negativity! Foximps don't like negativity, it makes them ill.
-These are not fursonas, just characters.
-No begging, whining, complaining, arguing or bribing. Not happening.
-Please be respectful to everyone here.
-Please don't remove the link back here for Foximps.

FAQ
Q. When is the next batch/litter coming out?
A. I have no idea! They come out when I do them and I do them when I have time.

Q. When will customs/breedings open?
A. Again, no idea! I will do them when I have time please don't rush me.

Q. Do you do trades?
A. I might, if you have adoptables and are interested in a foximp I might trade if you have an adoptable I want. These would not be custom and I will not make rare or very rare foximps for trade.

Q. Will you pm me when batches/litters/breeding/customs open?
A. No, I am way too busy to be messaging everyone who might want one.

Q. Can I make suggestions?
A. Sure! If you think I could do something better please let me know. You may also suggest designs but these will be things like 'Wild birds' or 'You should make some grey/pink foximps.' They will be vague and I will not do specific characters.

Q. My foximp was bred with my friend's but now I want it to be mated with one of my foxes. Can they breed?
A. Yes, foximps can breed once while unmated and once while mated.

Q. How do I breed my foximps?
A. a. If you own both foximps you will need to purchase a breeding plushie and wait for breeding to open.
b. If you and another person own the pair then you will both need to purchase a plushie and wait for breeding to open. I will choose which couples to work on but don't worry, if you don't get picked another season will open.

Q. How many foximps can I have?
A. The limit is set at 20.

Q. I don't own a foximp yet, can I buy items?
A. You can only buy custom pearls without a foximp. All other items are 'frozen' until you have a foximp. You cannot buy items for a future foximp.

Q. How do I get a custom foximp?
A. First you will need to purchase a pearl from the shop. Next, wait for customs to open. All forms will be ignored until customs are open. Once open, post your form in the thread. I will choose which foximps I'd like to work on.

Q. You didn't pick my custom foximp, do I still get to keep my pearl?
A. Yes, the pearl will stay in your inventory until it is used in the creation of a custom.

Q. Do you need any artists/mods/staff?
A. At this time, no I do not. If I would like additional staff in the future I will post here about it and make an application process. Please, stop asking.

These Foximps are not for Adoption.

Standard Species

Normal Foximp
The 'original' so to say. These 'imps are the closest to what we know as Red Foxes. This species seem to be the root of all other Foximp species. They are characterized by their large, perked ears and thick, fluffy tails. These are the widest spread of all the 'imps, capable of living in cities, forests, mountains, etc. They are the most adaptable of all the species and the most common.

Bobtail Foximp
Very similar to their 'normal' cousins however these foximps are born with stubby little bobtails. This is their most defining characteristic. They are of equal size and weight to the normals and equally as adaptive. However they prefer warmer climates since they do not have a long thick tail to insulate them when they sleep. This species is common.

Flop-ear Foximp
Also of similar build to the Bobtailed and Normal foximps. This species tends to be more domestic than most species and prefers forests and more developed areas. They are distinguished from other species by their floppy ears, caused by weak cartilage. This species is also common on the Island.

Curly-tailed Foximp
This species is equally as domestic as the Flop-eared but hardier than the other common species. It can be difficult to tell if a kit will turn out with a curly tail or a normal tail however the tail will curl up by adulthood. Curly-tailed 'imps tend to be sturdier and stockier than most species, preferring slightly cooler climates due to their thicker coat. Characterized by extremely fluffy tails that curl up over the back, these are common.

Kitsune Foximp
These Foximps are slightly smaller and leaner than the common species, giving them a lithe appearance. They are born with a mutation of the spine which causes them to grow three fully developed tails. It is unknown what causes this mutation. This species prefers the forests over any other habitat on the Island and is uncommon.

Angelic Foximp
Most common in the forests, these 'imps are even smaller than the Kitsunes. They are characterized by a small set of wings used for short distance gliding from tree to tree and tiny wings on the front ankles. These are primarily used to help balance the 'imp in flight. They seem to prefer fruits and nuts over the other species. These are uncommon.

Demonic Foximp
The bulkiest of all foximp species and much larger than their common cousins. The Demonic foximps tend to live in extreme climates of very hot or very cold. They share the ears and tails of the Angelic but are much more muscled with thickly curving horns like a ram and leathery wings. These tend to be more carnivorous and aggressive than other 'imps, they are also more nocturnal and highly territorial. These are uncommon.

Sabre Foximp
These foximps are also bulkier than the normal but are still smaller than the Demonic. They tend to roam in open plains or scrub forests. They strongly resemble the Bobtail but are larger, sport a short, scruffy mane and very pronounced canine teeth. These also tend to be more carnivorous and primitive than the other 'imps. They are also uncommon.

Butterfly Foximp
These are the smallest foximp species, usually only about a foot tall at the shoulder and weighing 10-12 pounds. This is the newest discovered species, they like the Angelic, enjoy fruit but also nectar. They can often be found in forests and blossoming fields. These are uncommon.

Capricorn Foximp
One of the most drastically different from the normal, these foximps are both terrestrial and aquatic however they often don't spend much time on land. They are very easily identified by the large, vertically curving horns, finned ears and fish bodies. They eat only fish, crustaceans, kelp and coral when necessary. They are larger than the demonic but not by much and are much leaner. They can be found swimming in the waters surrounding the island and are rare.

Unicorn Foximp
A very shy and benevolent species, the Unicorn resides in thickly forested areas. It is a purely vegetarian species and is taller than the regular foximp but also very lithe almost giving it a smaller appearance. They are quickly identified by the straight, spiraled horn growing out of their forehead, feathered fetlocks, cloven hooves and tufted tails. These 'imps are also rare.

Kirin Foximp
Only a tad smaller than the Unicorn, this foximp is possible the shyest of all. They are similar to their cousins but are fluffier, sporting a full mane, spinal ridge and tufted tail. They are also identified by a smooth, gently curved horn, cloven hooves and scales covering the sides, belly and legs. They share the same habitat as the Unicorn and are also purely vegetarian. This species is very rare.

Special Species

Hybrids
Occasionally a foximp will be born with traits from two different species. These are known as hybrids, shown here is an 'imp with both floppy ears and a bobbed tail. These are rare occurrences among common species.

Plush

The rarest of all Foximp species, there is only 1 known to exist. This Foximp is the same size as a Normal and while living appears to be made entirely of inorganic material. They function much the same as any other foximp however they do not require food and cannot breed.

Adoption Rules
-Only 1 foximp per day, per batch/litter.
-No editing forms, just leave it as is. This is for regular adoptions, breeding adoptions and pound adoptions.
-You can wait to name your fox but please don't wait too long. I will send a pm requesting a name and if this pm is not responded to or no name is given for a period of time I will take it back.
-Don't complain if you miss out on a foximp/batch/litter/whatever. I'm sure it won't be the last one I do.
-There is an adoption limit, you may only have 20 foxes.

Breeding

In order to breed 2 foximps you own you will need a Breeding Plushie. If you own 1 foximp and its breeding partner belongs to someone else you will both need a Breeding Plushie. For now, no same gender breedings however this may change. You can breed MxF, MxU or FxU. Breedings will also open at random and pups will be posted for adoption one couple at a time. The owner of each parent may choose a pup, if both parents belong to the same user that user may choose 2 pups. Foximps can breed a maximum of twice.

Customs Closed!
Customs will occasionally open in the thread. They are not first come first serve. I will pick which ones I'd like to work on and will post finished 'imps in batches of 3. I will only pick 1 idea per person to give everyone a chance at getting a foximp. If everyone has received their custom and I feel like doing more I -might- go back and do some that were not chosen. Or I will open up customs or breeding. Remember, this is at my discretion.
To order a custom, you need to have a Custom Pearl in your inventory, if you do not have a Custom Pearl (or the right pearl) you will not get a custom. Post your form here on the thread. PM'd forms will be ignored!

Foxes can only wear 3 items max, not including the mateship ribbon. Usable items are 1 time use. You may only buy items if you own a Foximp.

For a limited time only a Blue, Lavender or Green pearl may be purchased for one of these dogs!

Blue Pearl - Enables creation of custom Normal, Bobtail, Flop-eared and Curly-tailed Foximps.
Cost: 1 Rare from '10 or '11

Lavender Pearl - Enables the creation of custom Hybrid Bobtail/Flop-Eared or Flop-Eared/Curly-tailed Foximps.

Green Pearl - Enables creation of custom Kitsune, Angelic, Demonic, Sabre and Butterfly Foximps.

Inventory

Only pearls may be purchased without a Foximp. Each Foximp can have only 3 items, once you've given your foximp 3 items they can't wear any more unless it is a special item. So far the only special items are Halloween costumes which may be worn during the holiday but once it is over the costumes go back in the 'closet' until next year.- keeks
