Name:
Volpelliti
[Often called 'Elli', or 'Elliti']
[Affectionate term for 'little kit of the snow' in Fenris's native language]
Pup:
7
Why you want it:
I have never had a character with power over an element. Her design is beautiful, and I would love to give her a home. c: She would fit in just fine with my little family of characters, and would have five siblings to enjoy life with. I believe she'd make the perfect addition to my characters. <:
Not to mention, evidenced by the story I wrote below, she has the potential to be a very big figure in two of my 'children'- Grigore and Erin-'s lives. I would love if I could work her into their story like I did below.

-Story
It had been snowing for six days straight now. At first, the pair hadn't minded it.. but it was becoming a problem. The winged father-to-be uncomfortably paced back and forth in the den, occasionally stopping to look out at the snowstorm. They were both hungry, but his mate's needs took precedence over his. However, it had been close to a week since he had last eaten. He had managed to track her down food the first few days, but never enough for both of them and the puppies as well. She was due any day now, and he hated the idea of leaving her side. Quietly he padded back to her, leaning down and giving a small lick to her dark brown nose.
"Fenris," her voice trailed, and her small, curved ears fell back. His ears perked in worry. Were the children coming? His wings rustled uncomfortably, and he attempted to compensate for his lost leg. "I am weak, love.." she murmured, her bright green eyes closing. He gave a small sigh, nuzzling into the scruff of her neck. "It won't be long, Jade. Should I try to go hunt?" he masked the fact that he could barely stand very well. He was a father. He had to go out and do his duty as both her mate, and as his unborn childrens' dad. "Please, Fenris. For their sake," she curled her long, rounded tail around her body.
Fenris heaved a sigh, giving a small nod of his head. "I will return shortly, my dear," he gave a small lick to her cold cheek before turning. The cold outside was bitter, and stung. He made his way through the piles of snow as best as he could, but he was more weak than his mate. His wings refused to unfurl, and after a short period of time, he collapsed.
All he could hear was a haunting, gentle singing. It was too airy to be the call of his mate. Was he in danger? His eyes opened, only to be greeted with the horrible reality that he had no clue where he was. He forced himself to his legs, shaking off the snow that had built onto him. The puppies! How long had he been out? He gave a small whimper; a small falter of confidence. His ears perked as he head it again.
The singing. No, it definitely wasn't Jade. And it looked like just up ahead the snow was heavier, and getting increasingly closer. He grit his teeth, attempting his hardest to turn around and try to find his way back to the cave. His three legs refused to work, somehow glued to the spot. He closed his eyes tightly, drawing his wings around himself as best as he could, bracing for whatever was about to hit him.
There was a flurry of harsh wind that almost sent him toppling over, before everything.. ended. He could no longer feel the chill of winter wind. He raised an eyebrow, slowly unwravelling himself. His deep emerald eyes curiously peered at the landscape before him. Was that.. a puppy? She looked no older than the little ones he was expecting. She was nestled between four white as snow ermines, freshly killed. Her fur was just a shade darker than them, and she squirmed in their fur; too young to even open her eyes.
Perhaps it was because his own pups were so close, but he could not leave her to die. He leaned down, gently picking the whimpering puppy up by his mouth. He hated to leave the food, but there was no way to carry both. He.. would have to find his way back, and then come back for the food. He shook his head gently, holding the puppy close to his body as best as he could. She was cold, barely moving.. but there was a strong whimper. If she had survived the storm so far, certainly she could survive the rest of the way back.
It took a while to find his way back, but it seemed wherever he brought the pup, the storm would subside. Finally he reached the cave he had grown familiar with, and walked inside. "Jah-de?" he spoke in muffles, the squirming puppy still in his grasp. He walked to where he had last seen his mate, only to sit back in amazement. There they were. His family. At long last. He walked closer, feeling tears tug at his eyes. He set the puppy down between his two, watching her snuggle up to them for warmth. "Oh, Jade.. they're beautiful," he licked her head, tail wagging weakly still. She gave a small chuckle, before laying her head down again. "Did you find food? What is-.." her voice fell to a murmur as she looked down at the third pup feeding from her.
"She was in the snow, Jade. I couldn't just leave her," he frowned, ears sliding back on his head. "We're all starving as it is, Fenris. Why would you bring another mouth to feed?" she gave a small growl, looking down at the pup. "I.. I couldn't just leave her.." He looked down at the three puppies, all warm and happy and feeding from his dear mate. He looked up, hearing the familiar singing noise again. Something was beckoning him to the front of the cave. "Stay here," he barked in command, hair on the back of his neck raising.
Fenris moved to the front of the cave, only to find two dead hare and the four ermines from before. He looked up, in a fleeting moment of joy, and caught glimpse of what seemed to be a gray wolf with brilliant blue butterfly wings. The snow right next to the dead prey had a small scrawling in it. Take care of her, it read.
Grabbing the prey, he walked over to Jade, and their tired eyes met once again. Though, now there was not a look of confusion. Understanding; patience; love. Just as the love they shared. "Her name will be Volpelliti," he murmured, setting down one of the hares before his mate. "We'll call her Elli.. a gift from the snow," he leaned in and nuzzled Jade's muzzle, and she returned the affection. Silently he looked down at the three pups, a smile tugging at his tired lips.
"They're so beautiful."
About:
+Personality:
-Elli is known for coming off as cold when first meeting people. She is very distanced from those around her, but will warm up to them if she feels there is reason. What friends she does have, she will never lose, as she forms bonds to keep.
-She does not become excited very often, except for when it snows. When she is outside in the snow playing with her element, the same odd singing Fenris had once heard permeates the air.
-While she does not grow comfortable with others very easily, she has a very strong bond with all of her family.
-She is very patient, even with the most frustrating of situations. However, once her temper does flare, she is force to be reckoned with. Once, after being teased about her wings, she froze Grigore's in solid blocks of ice. He never teased her again.
+Songs:
+Likes
-She loves icy weather, and often sleeps outside in the snow when she can get away with it.
-Flying with Grigore and Eva.
-She's a daddy's girl, and often hangs out with Fenris when given the chance.
-Rain. She absolutely loves playing around in puddles.
-Making friends. Though she's not so great at it, Elliti loves trying to make friends.
-Grigore is her favourite sibling. He's the perfect big brother.
+Dislikes
-She absolutely loathes heat, and hot weather.
-Elias is her least-favourite sibling. He's always sick, so they rarely hang out. When they do, Elias is angry about something or another and snaps at her.
-She hates the colour yellow, and has been known to turn gifts away just because they were yellow.
-She has a hard time tolerating people who are blatantly disrespectful.
Family:
Fathers: Fenris & Ezi
Mother: Jade
Sister: Eva
Brothers: Grigore, Erin, Elias, ???
I, a v e n g e, promise to return this pup to Snowstar1 should I no longer wish to keep it.
