Ahz you're applying for: De Faye
Woo: I was sitting by a tree, writing in my journal, when De Faye, that exquisite being, came from the vortex. "I still haven't found an Ahz that both interests me and would like to be my companion. That beautiful unnamed Ahz, who I would have named Mazoura (yes, I wanted to give her my own name), was gorgeous, and I would have just about died for her. But she chose someone else. You can't even begin to imagine my disappointment when I heard that she hadn't picked me. But I guess that's how things go with me - I always get stuck with what I don't want and the thing I do want goes to someone else." I glanced up sharply when I heard the gorgeous new Ahz speak her name. To me, the accent was forgotten, and her voice was like silver, tinkling bells, all because of that name. And then-
"She wants to read," I murmured, staring at De Faye. I looked at the leather book that lay on my lap and smiled. "I think we'd get along quite nicely." I stood up and wandered over to the beautiful Ahz, the book still in my hand. I sat down in front of De Faye. "Hello, De Faye," I said. "I'm Mazoura. I heard you say that you want to read? I love reading, too. At my house, the biggest room is a library, and all the shelves are lined with books. I even have stacks of books on the floor because the shelves are full. It's " I pulled a folded piece of paper out of my pocket. "I drew a picture of it that looks just like it." I showed De Faye the picture of the massive room of books. "If you want to be my companion, all those books will be there for you to read whenever you want to. And my friend owns a gigantic bookstore. I go there every week to see if there are any goods books I don't have. Plus," I dropped my voice to a whisper and leaned towards her. "I write books all the time." I leaned back again. "I don't travel much, and when I do I usually travel alone, to get some peace and quiet or to get away from my normal routine. Please, think about my offer. I think you are really, really amazing, and would be extremely honored and happy to have you as my companion."
I glanced at my watch. My face fell. "Oh, I've got to go in a little bit. I wish I could stay and talk longer, but I always make myself work on writing my book for an hour around this time of day. But first, I have one more thing to talk about. Your name. Faye, or fay, means fairy. So, your name sort of translates to 'of fairy'. But that doesn't really sound quite right, so, I translate it to 'of Fairyland'. That makes more sense, doesn't it? I really have to go now. Please keep me in mind, though." I walked away, waving and smiling as I went. I sat down and pulled out the book I was currently working on and my feather pen. I smiled and started writing.
Few sentences of why you want this Ahz: She is gorgeous, and I love her name. But most of all, she wants to read. Reading is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I read while I eat, I read when I'm bored, I read when I'm trying to get to sleep, and so on. And I write stories.
I'll tell you why I like her name. It reminds me of magic, fairies, etc. But it mostly reminds me of the legend of King Arthur. Another name Morgana is called by in some of the legends is Morgan le Fay. The word "fay" means fairy or sprite. "De Faye" translated means "of Fay" or "of Faye", depending on which spelling you use. I would translate this as "of Fairyland" or something of that sort. I have always believed in fairies, and always will. I like to say, "You're never too old to believe in fairies." And it's true. Fairies are an ancient concept, not just your modern Tinkerbell and company. No, the Tinkerbell-type fairies aren't the kind of fairies that delighted children in medieval times. Fairies, faeries, however you spell it, are magical, delightful beings that I will always believe in. And De Faye, oh, I believe, because of her name, that she is most certainly of fairy orgin. She can be at my side at all times, always reminding me of fairies and Fairyland.
