I think this is what I'm thinking of.

It's me again, and I'm still looking for the right dog food...the allergy symptoms haven't stopped with my dog after switching to Blue Buffalo Wilderness' grain-free salmon formula (I thought perhaps he might've been allergic to grain, turns out he isn't).
Comparing between Amazon and a website called "Dog Food Advisor" that I found, I found that Instinct Grain-Free dry food is the best value with the highest rating, plus, it's listed as "hypoallergenic" on the Dog Food Advisor website.
What my dog is allergic to is still a mystery; we're considering getting allergy testing done but are a bit intimidated by the price.
Note that my parents are still adamant about not feeding raw nor home-cooked meals, i.e. they're going to stick with dry food and I can't change their opinion no matter what.
Anyone have any experience with Instinct (Nature's Variety)?
Of course, I'm really bad with the authority of things, and have been wondering if Dog Food Advisor is indeed a reliable site.
To go along with the conversation, I wouldn't trust it if it's called "Old Yeller" simply because that was the name of a book/ movie. If indeed the dog food was made to ride the flow of the book/movie in order to make some extra money, as it appears from the picture on the bag, then I don't think it would be a very good food. But, of course, that's only my opinion.
Science Diet. Thought it was wonderful and amazing and a gift from the heavens when reading the package.
We gradually began switching our dog over to Natural Balance at the time and he ended up picking up the Science Diet pieces and dropping them like gifts randomly around the house, and then eating the Natural Balance.

We feed him raw and have the dry food for when people watch him so they don't have to deal with raw meat, which bothers people for some reason. We always have dry food out for him if he wants it, but he doesn't eat it. He likes his Northwest Naturals, raw food and he eats it frozen or thawed even though we try to leave it to thaw.

Good idea, another reason why I am glad I switched to a raw diet.
You know...the more I feed Okami her raw meals and the longer she is on it, the more the idea of feeding processed kibble just seems gross >.>
Ehh...that's just me though. If I can help it, I don't think I'm ever going to go back to feeding kibble for any dogs I ever have...
*random thoughts* XD
