Guess: sky is blue because light from the sun have all colors in it. When it comes to atmosphere it hit with molecules in the air and only blue part is visible. Its orange at sunset and sunrise because of dirt.

Guess: The atmosphere is full of dirt, dust, smog and even rust and sulfur so when the light reflects off it at sunrise and sunset, it usually gives a reddish or orange glow. The sky is blue during the day because different colors have different wave lengths. Red, orange, yellow, and green have long wavelengths and pass straight through the atmosphere. Blue and violet are very short waves, so that is why blue is reflected off. The waves are too short to pass straight through.
