Fact: All ducks have highly waterproof feathers as a result of an intricate feather structure and a waxy coating that is spread on each feather while preening. A duck's feathers are so waterproof that even when the duck dives underwater, its downy underlayer of feathers will stay completely dry.

Fact: Peabody Hotels have ducks that they bring in and pamper for awhile before releasing them back into the wild; They are quickly trained, and the parade they make from the fountain in the lobby to their penthouse suite is a highlight of staying in the hotels.

I'm looking for the Donner Dog from the Christmas 2010 Sleigh litter,
the Grey Husky from the Christmas 2015 Husky litter, and the
Green Field Moon 2nd Gen from the April 2011 Field Moon 2nd Gen litter!

I'm collecting the 2020 Easter bunnies designed by Anouki. They're based on a
Japanese pottery technique where items are repaired by glueing the pieces back
together with a (typically) gold lacquer. It's called "kintsugi" and the idea behind
this is that broken things can still be beautiful, a mantra that has helped me cope
with the latest years of my depression. I've been saving up for a tattoo, to be my
first one, which will also be fashioned after kintsugi. That's why this design holds
a lot of sentimental value for me and, consequently, why I'm setting up a hoard
for them: to remind myself that even though I'm still struggling now, I will get
better. Please help me with this hoard. Thanks for reading. ~Love from Moony

Fact: Most male ducks are silent and very few ducks actually "quack." Instead, their calls may include squeaks, grunts, groans, chirps, whistles, brays and growls.

Fact: Best of all is its taste and rich flavour, some pastry chefs who use duck fat in their croissants and tart dough. Duck fat also contains a lower percentage of saturated fats than butter and some plant oils such as palm kernel and coconut. Plus, duck fat has a has a high smoke point, which means you can cook it to very hot temperatures without it smoking or adopting an off flavor. And unlike butter or olive oil, duck fat can be recycled. So it's super versatile as well as tasty!
