The vortex stole the gazes of the caverns guests immidiatly as dark shadows spilled fourth from it's depths, the flashes of colour were drained out of the powerful light to settle on a dark grey and black, flashes of poisonous purple dripped from the edges and the occasional flash of pure white splashed into existence.

A soft hum came from the vortex, as if it were trying to rid it'self of the poison that had invaded it, people started to mutter and gasp, speculating on what could be happening as the ones nearest started to edge back into the crowd.

A male Ahz marched into the cavern, wind blowing hs fur as the rear end of him was forced out at a rate a little faster then his own pace, sending a poisonous glance back at his creator the Ahz stepped forward with the unmistakable gleam of malice in his eyes,
"Quaririto!" The name was called out with a caution and a warning.

Quaririto lifted his head and examined those around him,
"Behold! Your new master!" He called out in a shrill, proud voice, indicating himself and the unusual glowing markings on his sides and face,
"Master, do you mean to say your our new master" One man spoke up, having the nerve to poke the new Ahz in the chest, Quaririto looked rather shocked by this and even a little worried, that is until he saw he could knock the man over with his powerful tail if he chose,
"Yes you dimm witted human, bow to your new master" He hissed with malice.

Nix's afternoon in the cavern was abruptly changed when Ruo managed to get himself drenched in the stream that sliced through the cave, after having to jump in and pull him out herself, convicing him that those people weren't laughing at him then draping him in a towel that a lady was kind enough to lend her she was tired and wet.

Laying her head against the towel that covered her companion who was shivering slightly she closed her eyes for just a moment,
"Hey Nix, look at that" Ruo exclaimed flicking her shoulder with his blue tail and pointing toward the vortex with his paw, openening one eye she was greeted with the frightening sight of a dark vortex,
"New Ahz" She said mildly although inside she was powerfuly curious and couldn't help shiver with a little fear as she watched the apparent evil being born,
"Behold! Your new master!" The new Ahz cried as he stepped into veiw, the markings on his coat were accentuated by the swirls of purple and the firey plasma element that finnished the powerful entry.
Nix opened her mouth to give a tired protest when another man beat her to it, with a jolt it was the same man Ruo had knocked to the floor on his first day,
"Master? Do you mean to say your our new master?" The offended challange rang out as the man poked the Ahz known as Quirito in the chest fur.
For a moment Nix saw worry flash across Quirito's features, as if he wasn't quite sure of himself enough to take a real stand if the odds seemed against him, he didn't really have the confidence for it but as soon as the large male realized he was bigger than the man standing before him the smooth demeanor took over once more,
"Yes you dim witted human! Bow to your new master" He hissed in reply.

Nix felt a sense of de ja vu as she saw how easily this situation could go ugly, she reconized the same insecurities as Ruo who now watched the argument with his ears pricked with interest, however the difference between the two Ahzeni was that while Ruo covered his lack of confidence with a playful demeanor, Quirito shrowded himself in darkness, standing up and striding quickly over she moved to stand beside Quirito,
"Stand down" She told the man who seemed affronted to find he was now outnumbered,
"I can speak for myself human" Quirito hissed, turning on Nix who looked at him and replied smoothly,
"I only meant he should not have been so rude," Even as she spoke a few people turned to support the man, just as they had done before.

Now seeing that he himself was outnumbered, Quirito backtracked quickly,
"Well... Uh... Good, at least somone reconizes their master" He uttered attempting to apper confident.
Unwilling to undermine the support she had offered him, Nix simply raised an eyebrow at him before seeing Ruo start to make their war toward the largening crowd and frowned, the man might not reconize her but Ruo was unmistakable, quickly as she came Nix began to make her way toward the entrence of the cave,
"Uh.. Where are you going?" Quirito called out a bit flustered,
"I am leaving the cave" Nix replied innocently,
"Fine, but you would do well to ask for my permission next time" He seemed to find more confidence in his but with one glance back at the man who stood glaring at him he seemed to find more comfort in the girl who had offered him backup. For her part Nix just looked back at him, an eyebrow still raised but a slight bob of her head, any protest would result in him loosing more confidence in her.

"I would be glad to have you travel with us" Nix said to him as Quirito fell into step, a few infront of her,
"Very well, but you would to well to adress me as Commander Quirito" He replied self importantly, there was a snigger that came from Ruo but before Quirito could adress this Nix cut in,
"Welcome Commander Quirito"
