In thine pelt I see the power of a thousand storms.
A wall of water in all its raw beauty
Dose that not make its beauty thine?Characters within:Paravati - Immortal Demigod, daughter of Demeter and Theseus.
Lasirie - Immortal Nevorith Dragon
The impish woman sat daintily on a rock, staring up at the high noon sun. She was perfect, too perfect. Even as her nut brown hair, unraveled slightly from the flower entwined braids, drifted around her thin form. With a light yawn she brought her creamy tan hands to her marble perfect face, and began massaging her temples. Her too green eyes darted around at the many passing human men, who gazed at her with hungry eyes. What was she still doing among the mortal living? Hoping, yes, she was hoping. But for what? Why would she still stay, here in this place, building more and more of her divine influence, and allowing her presence to whisper dangerous thoughts into the heads and hearts of each man that passed? Why would she abandon her love of traveling the nine realms only to stay here in this land of wealth and peace? The hope, the simple hope that maybe just maybe a single one of the teeming hoards of fox-like creatures that called this sub world home, would deem
her worthy of their presence.
A small smile touched her supple lips, She could make one follow her, she could force one to come with her to the realm of the gods, she was far more than powerful enough to force any living mortal creature to follow her, as many others of her kind and stature had before. with a sigh she took a deep breath and crossed her arms over her knees, slowly blowing out the spent air into the hollow between the two. These thoughts sickened her to the core, it was true, with great power came great responsibility, and for her it was no understatement. She would rather travel lonely, a solitary and single figure in the masses than force one small creature to follow her. lightly setting her head into her arms she let out a sour laugh, what had she become?
A deep rumbling bang resounded in the air around the Demigod, the shock-wave of the large green creature coming into the mortal realm sending a few of the closer mortals flying for cover. With a bellowing and triumphant roar, the dragon, Lasirie ended the spell to travel between realms. After only a moments pause flowers rose up to meet her, collecting and caressing her hooves like many children. The iridescent green dragon, let out a fiery snort and threw her head into the air in laughter.
Paravati's face brightened into a wide smile, too green eyes dancing with joy.
"
You figured it out then?"
the dragon tossed her head once more, turning her white eyes to the Demigod.
By sheer luck, i'm sureHer mind voice was not as loud as it once was, and her reply was quaint and mater of fact.
"
Keep telling yourself that, Lasirie"
Paravati let her gaze drift around to survey the brief mayhem the Dragon's apparition had caused, her light smile turned to a sad scowl.
"
Though next time you may want to use the corkscrew spell rather than just forcing yourself through the doors. It causes less chaos, for those on the other side."
She mumbled only half speaking to the dragon, slowly she slid off the rock that she had been resting upon, intent on helping those around her clean up.

Paravati's green gaze stared up intently at the now dark night sky. She was amazed by how far away the mortal realm seemed from the sky. each star seemed like nothing more than a pin prick, and the moon, her dear immortal relative Artemis, was so small. Tentatively she reached out with one hand, shakily covering the moon with a single finger. slowly ever so slowly she allowed her hand to drop back to her side. Here, in this world, at this moment the powers the gods governed seemed so trifle, she seemed so trifle, so small, so... helpless. Lasirie's deep throaty chuckle cut through Paravati's brooding thoughts
You worry about such silly things Little One.The Demigod's cheaks turned a deep shade of crimson in embarrasment
You were listening!she silently accused the dragon.Lasirie Chuckled once more and replied,
Aye, but you can not blame a dragon for listening to her riders thoughts when she leaves her mind as open as a book.Paravati shrugged off the reply, not many immortals, let alone mortals, knew how to see into another's mind, she had nothing to fear by allowing her own to wander open. there was a light groan and the soft gringing of skales as Lasirie sat up.
You, are upset. Or you are searching for something. The dragon lightly butted her head against Paravati
What keeps you here Little one, you are an Immortal, and not one who should get tied up in the affairs of Mortals. Am I no longer the companion you need?Paravati's head snapped up instantly,
No! Lasirie it is not that, I just wish to find someone to expand our little family, so to speak.Lasirie threw her head up in a draconic laugh.
It is good to keep an open mind and meet new ... people.slowly she stretched out her long body like a cat before curling up in a tight circle. Clearly dismissing her Demigod Rider.
Paravati smiled lightly as the all too familiar trumpets sounded, the signal of a new Faerre approaching the alter.

Paravati Glided Noiselessly though the small crowd. Though the night was late, she had still expected a much greater turn out. With each small group of people she passed she could tell there was an undertone of buzzing excitement for the future, rumors of some great and powerful Faerre to come ran rapid through the cavernous building known as the alter. As she got caught up in the pure rush of mortal adrenaline fuled energy her small smile broadened with each step she took towards the buildings center. She paused for a few seconds as she beheld the small Faerre atop the stage, her pristine white pelt was personified by the raw fury of the crashing waves of Poseidon's domain. She ascended the stairs of the Stage, pausing once more as a voice like butter cut through the buzz of the crowd below. The Faerre's voice recited the lines and stanza's perfectly the steady rise and fall of her voice, sent a lulling peace out over the crowd. As she finished on a single note, and spoke her Name, Sodora, Paravati almost fell to her knees because of the sheer beauty of the thing.
With baited breath she watched as a single mortal advanced on the Faerre, she allowed them to speak, before tentatively approaching Sodora herself. Laying a single hand on the rail, for appearance rather than balance she began to speak.
What Doss this be?
Thine are yet the most,
the fairest of all. Yet,
here you can be found, Upon the stage.
Are Thine not a spectical?
Are thine not free?
Who thine may ask, Who
Doss I be?
Mary, yes, Mortal, No. I
Walk upon the mother Gaia. I
Scream Into Posidon's wrath. I
Dance among the flowers. I
Am Imortal.
Paravati collected her small half skirt in a low exaggerated bow.
I Am Paravati, an immortal daughter of Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest. I Hail from a much different land than yours, The Realm of the Gods. It is known by Mortals by many names, Paradise and Olympus being only two of the most common. But enough about that. If you accompany me I'm sure I can tell you all about the history of the place i call home. The Demigod's face contorted into a smile.
I see you enjoy poetry, I fancy Myself a poet, though i am not half as good as Apollo. If you would accompany me, I would love to show you the Great library. Within its halls one may find every work ever written in all the nine realms. It is quite the sight, though I have never once met a mortal who could read every work with in. She smiled once more
Though, there is a Price to pay if you accompany me to the Realm of the Gods, No mortal can call this one of the nine realms home, only immortals can. It was a law written down by the Old ones, those who predate Gaia and Oranus. To live within the Realm I call home you must become an Imortal, It does no harm to you, but you are banned from the Mortal realm, only one of the nine, for one mortal century. I implore you Sadora, to think over all opportunists that will arise for you on this day. It is the one choice that will effect your life for all eternity, With that ending note she swept herself once again in a low bow, turned on her heel and slowly blended once again into the small crowd.
