Wait! This is horribly unfair to me! You never stated in the first post that this was first come, first serve and now you're telling me it is. If that's the case, then both of those designs should have been mine because I asked for them both first! I have been waiting for you to respond to me all month, just to find that you gave both designs to someone else! I sent you a payment for 5 and 8 at the beginning of the month. It doesn't matter if someone else sent the payment for a design before me, I posted first saying I would pay for those designs! Giving the design to someone else who sent you payment first is NOT how first come, first serve usually works! Both of those designs should have been mine, especially 8 because you didn't even give me a chance to send payment again for it before you gave it to someone else! I suggest next time, you state in your first post how you operate because this is not how first come, first serve is usually handled.

rainbow panda, I am sorry. you may have posted first. But in my adoptable's, you must pay for the design before you can own it. Does that make sense? what if some one said they were going to pay, but never did? And then they still got to keep the design. I am sorry this happened but you have to try to think through why I do my adoptable's this way. I can try to make it up to you. I could give you some pets, and make a design for you and you only. I want to be here to make friends, not enemies.

Dude, stop pounding my sister. Yes, she said first come first serve, but that doesn't mean "I'll pay ya later, gimmie gimmie gimmie" you need to pay first to hold a spot, and sure some people might do 'first come first serve differently', but that doesn't mean EVERYBODY does this the same way. Besides, you can't just ask and say you'll pay later, how does my sis know you're ever gonna pay her? how does she know your telling her the truth? and besides, you have been very rotten to her, why would she want you to take her designs and trust you to pay later? And YES it totally matters of someone sent a payment for the design before you, that means they officially own it. you can't just say you want it and it's automatically yours! Whatever way you think first come first serve works is rotten and very un-beneficial to the artist. I am sure that artists don't want people coming up and saying "i want it, that means it's mine now." I know that if i were to make adoptables, i would want to be reassured that my customers would pay me before they got the design.<<< that is a good way of first come first serve.

So please, stop being rude, and so self absorbent. Not everything in this world can be your way.

I'm sorry if I come across as rude. I'm not trying to be your enemy. But I waited for you to reply to me for two weeks, only to discover that you'd given the designs to someone else. I was ready and willing to pay, but after two weeks you still hadn't accepted my payment. I didn't know why, so I attempted to contact you and didn't get a response for another three days. So I posted in the thread, wondering if perhaps other people were also waiting for their payments to be accepted like I was. Then I got online to discover you canceled my payment and gave away the designs I'd been waiting all month to pay for. The trade had been sitting for over two weeks. That was plenty of time to contact me and explain the situation. Do you understand why I was so frustrated? I feel like I got cheated out of those designs. I understand that you do things differently and why you do it that way, but next time you might want to actually explain how you do things in your first post so people don't feel like they get ripped off like I did.

Many artists do something you might call "holding a design" where they will hold a design for someone for a certain amount of time to give the person time to pay, and if they don't pay in that time they put the design back up for someone else to ask for. That's what you could have done with me for 8 instead of letting someone else snatch it away from me before I even got the chance to respond at all. Does that make sense to you? Artists do that all the time. I've done it myself. I'm not saying you should do it in the future, but it might be something to think about for next time you want to give out designs like this.

I'm sorry, but I don't want your pets or a custom design. I just want to put this behind me. I'm sorry things ended up this way, and I hope you understand when I say I will probably not try and adopt designs or art from you again. And I hope you take what I've said about holding designs into consideration. It might help prevent this sort of thing in the future.

Also, Wazaiyata, this whole thing is between 99winnie and me. I wasn't trying to be rude. I wasn't "pounding" your sister. I did not realize she was doing her "first come, first serve" differently than most people until she posted stating that she was. Also, when I posted asking for those designs I didn't realize I had to send payment AS SOON AS I POSTED to be able to get them. She never said in the first post that payment should be sent IMMEDIATELY. So I thought I had some time to send the payment. And please don't make it seem like I was saying "GIMME GIMME GIMME" because that wasn't my intention. I SENT a payment, I was READY to pay, but she canceled my payment. I'm ready to put this behind me, and I hope 99winnie is too. Perhaps we can all learn something from this and just move on.
