~A Dragons Story ~

"Okay, I am going to tell you a story, a story about how I became a pet, how I was adopted. I will start from the beginning, before I was born. It all started in the jungle..."

Once, in a jungle off the coast of North America, there lived many different creatures, most that many people just think are myths. Dragon. Unicorn. Griffin. There lived a dragon, a black dragon with a fluffy tail and antennas. He had a mate, the most beautiful dragon in the jungle. She was a white dragon, much like himself. He loved her, and soon, he knew, they would become parents. She had started showing many months before. He was ready, wishing they would come sooner. He wanted to speed time up, unaware of what would happen once they were born.

The night arrived. Baby dragons were born, all different colors. Gray, white, black, and then one very peculiar one, a male with a bright blue coat. They were all had green eyes, all except that one blue dragon, he had glittering blue eyes.

A week after they were born, all was going well. They didn't expect anything to happen, but something did. They were all lounging, after a long days work. The young dragons couldn't walk yet, but they had grown a small amount bigger. They were all asleep, all except the father, awake and on the watch. He was dozing off, when suddenly he heard a loud boom. He shot straight up, growling. Well maybe it is just the griffin again. He thought, not convincing himself. Farther into the forest, he saw a glowing light, and a noise he had never heard before. Talking. Whatever was out there, they were coming closer. Another loud boom rang through the air. Crack! A huge group of men showed through the clearing. Smugglers.

Suddenly, everything broke into chaos. The men started yelling and waving their arms. They caught the trees on fire with the torches they were holding. The father awoke the mother, who grabbed as many of her children as she could. She was able to grab all of them, but one, the blue boy with glittering eyes, slipped out of her jaws and hit the ground with a thump. Not noticing, she ran off. The men threw nets over the dragons, tripping the mother, the dragon babies flying in all directions, all hitting the net. The men carried the thrashing mother and babies and threw them in the crate that was in the wagon they had brought with them. In that truck, there were many unicorns, griffins, even a Pegasus or two, who could usually fly out or reach. And now they had the dragons too.

The father ran off into the darkness, hiding with other black things, not for long though. He could see the men coming closer, and they shined the torch right in front of him, burning his nose. Without warning, the men pounced on him, holding him down. "We don't need this one. The young dragons will grow up." The leader said. He reached for his belt, where a sword was held. The male dragon howled with hopelessness, knowing this is the end.

The blue dragon baby heard his father, and tried to answer, but was to weak, just being a week old. He whimpered, wanting his mother. He sadly watched his father, knowing it will be the last time he will ever see any of his family. The men had disappeared, and he was alone.

He laid there, day after day, for half a week. He couldn't move, he was too tired and dehydrated. He would have died, but he was found. Found by a young girl, who had stumbled upon him by accident.

She lived in California. Her name was Abby. She enjoyed hanging out with the unicorns. No one believed her when she told though. She even had her own unicorn, who she had named Jewl. Today, she had gone for a ride on Jewl. She was mad at her parents that day, and ventured farther than she had ever before. As she held onto Jewl's horn, something caught her eye. She looked around. Everything was burned. Instead of that pretty, glittery, majestic forest, there was burned trees. She could make out where there had once been a nest, a nest of something she couldn't identify. She saw something else too. Something blue. She jumped off of Jewl and walked over to it. "Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed. She picked up the dragon in her arms. It was barely breathing. She bit her lip and jumped onto Jewl. "Jewl. Home." She commanded, cuddling the soft dragon close.

When they got to where Jewl and Abby always parted, Abby jumped off. She dashed toward home, fast as she could. She was afraid it might be to late. "Dad! Help!" She cried as she dashed into the house.

"So. This is my story. Abby and her father saved my life. Now they feed me, brush me, and give me baths. They introduced me to many different creatures. They named me Amir, which Jewl told me meant prince. Also, Abby's father finally believed her about the unicorns, and now they know she isn't crazy. They adopted Jewl, who is now living in the stables behind the house, going for rides every afternoon. My wings finally sprouted, and now I can fly along with them. I sometimes wonder what happened to the rest of my family, but no one has reported anything. But now I am happy, living with Abby, and my mate, Amanda. She is also a dragon, found in the forest too. Abandoned by her rabid parents. She is ruby red. Abby saved her. Now we have children, one purple, one blue, and one red. They make the world spin around, along with Abby and Amanda. I love them with all my heart, and forever will.

Stable Kitty

I was born in a horse barn. My mother gave birth to us in the hay. We were found by the farmers, who got really mad. With persuading however, the daughter of the farmer let my mother be a mouse catcher, and us too, when we get old enough.

I awoke barely before dawn. I heard the farmer going around doing his daily chores. Right now, he was milking the cow. I stumbled over to him. "Meow!" I begged. He looked down at me and chuckled. He motioned me over and squirted milk into my mouth. I swallowed and purred, rubbing up against his muddy overalls.

My mom came over to retrieve me. When we were back in the hay pile, my mother scolded me. "We are lucky to have a home. This man was kind enough to let us stay for work, and now you are begging for extra food!" She frowned at me. "But mama!" i whined. "He let me have it!!" "No matter." My mother said. "You are grounded for a week. You are to stay in the barn at all times. You are too help me catch mice as your penalty." I groaned. I hate catching mice.

Later that day, I was with my mom in the barn, sulking in the corner. There is no way I am going to work while my siblings get to play around with the other animals around the farm. I am just going to sit here until supper. In fact, I might even run away... My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a pick-up truck, a different car from the one the farmer drives. Out steps people similar to the farmer, but different. Must be relatives. I thought. There were two little kids, who immediately ran over to the barn. Spotting me, they squealed and ran over to me. One of them, a Blondy in a dress, picked me up and squeezed me. "She is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mommy! I want her!" I hissed at her, to no success. The lady I presumed was the mother came over with the farmer. "I guess she is available." The farmer said sadly. I know he liked me. "Yay!" Both girls squealed at the same time. "I am going to name you Lollipop and love you and dress you in bows and dresses..." The held me tight so I couldn't escape. They tucked me into a baby carrier in the car. This must be animal abuse! I thought as they buckled me in. Soon we drove off.

They live in an apartment in the city. When we got to their place, they unbuckled me. I immediately took off. I darted between cars, afraid. I heard car horn blasting in my ear. Finally, I was on the sidewalk. I heard a car pull up behind me. I look back to see a man with a net behind me. Before I can run off, it goes over me.

I was thrown into a cage. I guess I was at the pound, which I had heard of but never seen. The annoying girls never came back for me, luckily. I met some people, but no one adopted me. Sure, I was a small kitten, but my strange coloring drove them away.

One day, a nice teenage girl named Abby came in. She was volunteering, but when she passed my cage, she fell in love. She put her hand up to my cage, and does a human imitation of a meow. I giggled and purred, rubbing against her hand. She smiled and stuck her hand through the cage, rubbing behind my ears. She left afterwards though, and my hopes simmered down again. I sighed and slumped down in my cage.

The next day, she came back with her father. He looked at me and smiled. "This one?" He asked. Abby nodded. "This one." She opened the cage and scooped me into her arms. I purred. They filled out the papers, then they took me home.

Now I live with my loving owner, Abby. She named me Candi, and now I am a full grown cat. She has given me a home when nobody else would. Not to mention, I live on a farm, with Unicorns, Pegasuses, and Horses. In another words, I am still a stable kitty!

Home Before Dark

My mother always told me that could always play outside. I was a cat,of course, and I loved to feel the softest beams of sunlight on my gleaming pink coat. My mother was one of the nicest mothers ever.

Other mothers made their long haired kittens stay inside all day long, every day. My mother was different. She let us play outside, but never after the sun began to fall. She would always sit with us in our large basket our owners gave us. She would lick me and my brothers and sisters. We would all start to sleep, and she would pull a warm blanket around us. We loved our mother and our father. We had a whole big room to ourselves,so my father would come in with something yummy sometimes. Once,he gave us a whole vole for us to eat! We liked our father, but he was always gone. Off doing other things.

One glorious day,my mother let us play outside. It seemed like she was worried. Like she needed to do something, but she was nervous about it. A little bit later she let us suckle some milk. Two warm-place owners came outside and picked up my siblings. They laughed at us. "They'll do." My mother yowled and we squirmed. My father raced to us. "I need you to jump!" We squirmed,my sisters and I. My father and mother had a light in their eyes we had never seen. They hissed loudly and scratched the warm-place owners. They stared at each and walked away with us. I squirmed away, and dropped to the ground,my tiny tail sticking straight up in the air. The other kits mewled, and I never saw them. My mother wept for days on end,and soon I became older. But I could never grow up without my siblings.

My mother didn't care how long I was outside. She was still so sad,she barely cared about me. I was sad,but not as sad as her. I liked being outside, like before, but I liked being in the dark. That's why my once pink pelt is now a midnight blue. The hour I like best.

First Step! its a tiger story

One day, there was a tiger named Celeste. Celeste was a kind tiger. Very loving. But was very lonely. She is 7 feet tall. She is a Sumatran tiger from Indonesia. But she is now living in a zoo. The zookeepers thought of getting another Sumatran Tiger for Celeste. So she won’t be so lonely. So they found a kind and loving male Sumatran Tiger named Muphasa. Muphasa was 8 feet tall. So they ordered the male tiger and transport him to the Indonesia Zoo. They said that it will take a few weeks for them to transport him here. But Celeste was getting too lonely. So they paid extra for the transport to be faster. They said it will be delivered today afternoon. LATER TODAY…..
The Male tiger has arrived. They thought that maybe they should put him in the cage next to Celeste first, for him to get used to the surroundings and Celeste before they put them together in the same cage. But some zookeepers thought that they should put them in the same cage already. So they put them in the same cage. Muphasa was a little bit nervous at first. But Celeste was calm. When it was meal time, Celeste and had Muphasa one big meaty antelope meat. After the meal, Muphasa looks calmer and starts to lie down and rest near Celeste. They wanted them to have babies so they can extend the population growth of Sumatran Tigers. A FEW MONTHS LATER………..
Celeste seemed restless. They first thought that Muphasa was causing the illness. So they put Muphasa in another cage. But Celeste was not getting better. They gave her a lot of food and water and thought that will make her feel better. But soon, days passed and she was getting worse! So they thought they should call in a vet. The vet expense was too high. And they could not afford it. So they thought the best thing to do for Celeste was to put her to sleep. So they planned to put her to sleep in a week or so. A FEW DAYS PASSED…………
Suddenly the loving, friendly and calm Celeste was no more. She was now fierce. They looked carefully in the cage and there were 3 baby Sumatran tigers! They were so shocked of the birth. And now they know why Celeste was so restless and fierce. She was going to have babies! So they decided not to put her to sleep. They had 2 females and one male! They named him first female Kiara. The second female Nala and the third male Simba. Nala was the lazy and sleepy one. Kiara was the loving type like Celeste. And Simba was the competitive and adventures type. A FEW YEARS LATER………..
Muphasa and Celeste died of old age. Nala, Kiara and Simba will grow up and be strong!!
