The colt isn't a real Buckskin because of the white socks on his hind legs, but he sure is pretty :3 The parents are random, but I like them, so will be keeping them XD

The color buckskin refers to the entire coat. White markings don't make him a "fake" buckskin. Now, if genetics say that he isn't a buckskin but a darker or lighter morph of a different color then you could say "fake" buckskin. But otherwise he is a buckskin, but from the looks of his Sire and Dam, thats unlikely.

Sorry for ranting off about this, I work with and train horses. I'm looking at taking actual classes instead of absorbing information as I go along.

I don't mind :3 Thanks for letting me know! XD I work a lot with horses too, but usually only with the four geldings I own X3 So you probably know more than I do...XD

No problem, its just one of my pet pevs. I constantly argue with people about how wild horses are not native. Mustangs are actually feral or escaped horses, decendents of the horses brought here from Spain. Most people have just grown up with the knowledge that they are "wild".

That particular fact about Mustangs I do know, and it gets on my nerves too when people get it wrong! I was at these horse sales, and after seeing what was obviously a Tennessee Walker, the person called it a Mustang just because it was a male!! Get your Mustang facts straight, people!!!! DX

I love all horses. But Mustangs are one of my absolute favorites. I have a Mustang that I sponcer and I claim her as my own. Her name is Super Mare. She is a dark bay and she has a red blaze. Yes, thats what her description read when I picked her out.

She must be really pretty :3 3 out of 4 of my horses are black, so there's not much variety except for Showboy, who is a brown and white Tennessee Walker with paint markings XD
