The Altar bustles with activity, the stage brushed cleaned once more as the audience below, filled with mortals and what-nots waited excitedly for the next Faerre. It seems the outside world is finally getting wind of this land of small companions and more and more have gathered to test their luck. Mearc stood on the Altar, looking down at the crowd below surprised and a bit honored at how much have decided to attend. A small small appeared on his face, lighting up the handsome Faerre's features, seemingly making him glow of happiness. Those closest around him seemed to be affected by his stunning golden pelt and intricate red markings.

The Faerre cleared his throat, it took a while before everyone noticed the golden figure on stage before the area was suddenly grasped in sudden silence as everyone seemed to be captured by this extraordinary creature.

"Hello all." The Faerre started politely, grinning happily. "I'm Mearc, a Faerre that loves to collect myths of all kinds. I've been listening and recording myths all my life... and I think I've collected almost all of Faerre myths... just not enough of other worlds' stories. If you can somehow provide a myth I've never heard of, an interesting place and cultures that promise more myths for me to research and record in the future to record... why, I'll be glad to come with you on a trip~ I do love nice stories~" The golden Faerre bowed, smiling earnestly, waiting patiently for the suitors to come test their luck.

I stood quietly holding a book about Faerre history in a arm, once Mearc the golden-like faerre and handsome faerre finish announcing, I knew he was the right one to company me back home and attend reading and history plus Myths lessons with me which I really enjoyed a lot and I knew he would enjoy it too. I walked towards him, I spoke politely my voice gentle and soft, " Hi Mearc, my name is Blackberry. If you are looking for a companion who is good at myths or legends, I am sure I can provide a myth or maybe a legend to win your heart. I hope a legend is okay for you Mearc as I am pretty good with them. "

I took out a book which I really liked a lot, it was a legend of how humans met Faerres. I said, " There was once a girl named Clare, she was a beautiful and young Princess. One day, she went into a forest ignoring her father orders who told her earlier not to go into the forest without him or her mother, she took a path she had never walked before and never seen before, she walked trembling a bit, unsure what awaits her in the light. She bit her lip has she went to somewhere which was brighter, and all of a sudden, a faerre came out with a basket filled with cherries. It was love at sight, she went off with the faerre and told her close friends about it, they wrote it in their note books, and the note book was passed to their great great granddaughter, who pass it down her family. Those that received the note books came here and found out, they told their relatives, and soon the place was croweded with people. And that was how humans met Faerres. "

I stopped talking and looked at Mearc, I smiled while I whispered to him, " Mearc, I hope that you never heard this before so I can be the chosen one, I hope that maybe you can be my friend. I promise you, you can learn more about myths and legends you never heard before. I seem to have dreamt about you, I don't know if it is fate or what. I will come and hear your reply soon my dear friend. " I paused and whispered softly, " You will always be my friend no matter where you are and whatever happens. " I stood up letting others talk to him, I turned my head the last time and look at him smiling unsure if I will ever see him again in my whole life.

I look at the Faerre standing at the altar. 'Myths," I thought. 'blazeheart is good with those.'

Me-

I walk up to the faerre. "Im blazeheart. I can take you many places with lots of myths. Greece, Rome, Japaneese mythology is actualy very interesting. Theres a myth about how the sun was made (Ok, the myth is fake characters, not) Once apon a time, the great Japaneese sun godess Amaterasu was watching the celestial plain. She saw the gloomy, dark earth and came down from the heavens. There, she found the vile, 8-headed serpent Orochi. He was about to eat the next sacrificial maiden when Amaterasu came and summoned the sun. Orchi crawled back to his cave and Amaterasu returned the maiden to her village. Pretty cool myth, huh? I can tell you LOTS more if you come with me." I finished with a smile. I hopped down.

Ammy-

I looked at blazeheart. 'Spreding the word, eh?' I thought, watching her tell the myth. I swore I could see the faerre looking at me through the bushes. I winked, just in case it wasnt my imagination, but I think it was.


Ammy is Amaterasu but in a wolf form.

Blaze is my made up character, and I am me.

A Meeting with Mearc

Nature hesitantly walked up to the Faerre, who calls himself Mearc. She was sitting and listening to his announcement, her a bit awed at how he wants to collect all the myths and stories. She listened attentively as he concluded his speech, her determined to have a few words with him, she wants to help him on his journey. Nature thought a bit while others were talking to Mearc, "What forest stories can I tell him..? I wonder if the other people's stories are more interesting.. Ah well.. I'll put out some of my own thoughts, I hope he gets interested!" Her walking towards him.

"Ah hello Mearc, my name is Natures Dawn, but you can call me Nate or Nature, depending on your tastes." she smiles at him, her sitting across from him, "I hope I don't take up too much of your time, but I have a story for you.. it's not quite a myth because the place is real." her squirming a bit as she begins her tale of the other world. "Well there is a place, somewhat like Vinara, but has different creatures. It's called The Forest of Mysteries." she pauses a bit to keep him intrigued. "This forest has creatures named Aiones, they are creatures somewhat like me, but not quite." her chuckling a bit to herself, "Now don't think that I'm describing myself, but I'm not. These Aiones, they have leaves on their head and leaves as their tails. There's a more ancient race, called the Ancient Enoki Elders, they have a tree growing from their backs! Can you imagine that?" her sitting back and remembering what they looked like again. The thought of a tree growing from one's back is a bit bizarre. She looks at Mearc.



"You have the picture in your mind now yes?" Nature smiles at him, her pausing a bit to take a breath before continuing her story. "Now what would you think if I told you that the Forest of Mysteries is like a parallel universe to Vinara? There's some people that you may know that are there, they may look like friends and relatives that you once knew, but they aren't. They have different personalities and sometimes dress differently, but you can see the resemblance. They're like your twin, but the only thing similar is that you two look the same." Nature looks at him observantly, "Now, this wasn't the case long ago, you remember the Ancient Enoki Elders? They were the ones who made this happen. This is not just in Vinara, but other realms as well. There is a secret crystal made of pure Alcazyn, the rarest form of crystal that some may not even heard of it. It glows a radiant red glow, although the base of the crystal is purple. This crystal has been placed in the center of the Forest of Mysteries, and it floats there for many generations and is still there as we speak. The Elders decided to put up this crystal so that there would be some more people who are similar, though their plan backfired when they realized that they just copied the appearance, not the personality." Nature took a breath again, her a bit excited that she's telling a story that she hasn't told anyone quite yet. "The Elders couldn't remove this crystal because they had to make a sacrifice to implant the crystal in the middle of the forest. This sacrifice was a living being, and life was lost. This person was one of the most beloved people in the world, and the Elders somehow was able to get their hands on him. It's a shame.. but there is hope. I heard that he is still alive, he's just in a spirit form. I'm going to search for him, you can come with me if you'd like, we can be in a story and be well known, and from that we can go around to different places in which we heard of in stories, and find hidden secrets. You can write them down while we discover new things, what do you say?" Nature smiles at Mearc, her a bit worn from telling such a long story, hoping that he was interested in the Forest of Mysteries, Nature gets up from where she was sitting and stands up, "Let me know if you wish to find out where he is, I'll see you in the future, you storykeeper." She smiles as she walks off for the next person to entice him with wondrous stories. She smiles to herself, looking up in the sky as she looks back to see his face.

Solon tumbled into the cave his backpack landing next to him with a loud thump spilling its contents of books and maps everywhere.His safari hat layed crooked on his head,"My maps!"he cried and quickly gathered all the books and maps that had spilled on the ground.Apparently he had come at a good time,a faerre had just finished speaking and was now waiting for suitors.He put everything neatly back into his backpack and threw the backpack over his back.Keeping his head high, he padded towards the young faerre."Greetings Mearc,I would like to introduce.My name is Solon, i've been looking for someone who would join me in traveling the world,finding rich cultures and hearing of old legends.Some legends about creatures beyond your wildest dreams a bird the size of a lion able to take a one hundred pound cow in one graceful swoop,a half man half beast said to live in the highest mountains known to man guarding untold riches.Some that could not be explained by man like a sword said to be possessed by a demon,a woman lost at sea her air plane never seen again by no man."He said with a friendly smile on his muzzle."There is a endless number of myths in the world,some myths are closely guarded by others who believe these myths are true and hold untold power or riches beyond their wildest dreams.Sadly I cannot pick just one place to stay,for all places are rich in their own way, but if I had to choose I would have to be Asia"He put down his backpack down and took out a map of Asia to show.

"Asia is rich with different cultures.They love to keep old traditions alive and are very stubborn about changing their ways so old myths are always alive there.The landscape is amazing with mountains that reach the very clouds and vast amounts of forest still untouched by humans and others alike.In Asia there are myths of beast that breath fire and said to have their dens decorated in gold.Humans mostly call them dragons"he paused looking into his backpack again and took out a picture of a dragon for Mearc to see."Dragons are smarter then humans and are said to give the humans the gift of knowledge and fire.Ah sadly the humans were said to turn their back on the dragons calling them beast of greed,most were killed off ,but some are said to survive in mountains,rivers and even the ocean."Solon explained to Mearc his voice muffled as he hold the picture of the dragon in his mouth."This brings me to my one favorite myths,the loch ness monster who is said to live in the Loch ness lake in Scotland.It is said to be a plesiosaurs,a kind of dinosaur said to live millions of years ago in the ocean,everyone said that all the dinosaurs were killed off.Till in the 7th century when a man by the name Adomnán said he had saw a man attacked by a 'water beast',which killed and dragged the man under.That my friend was the start of the myth of the loch ness monster,many still thought that Adomnán was drunk when he had seen this 'monster', but they were proven wrong.Many people start to say that they have seen this 'water beast' with their own eyes.It was described with a long neck,four long flippers and was larger then any animal they had ever seen in the Loch Ness lake.As the years passed the sightings of this mysterious creature went up till even scientist started to visit the lake hoping to catch a glimpse of the creature,soon the locals started to fondly call the creature 'Nessie'.There has never been an attack by 'Nessie' nor any evidence that it even exist, but the sightings of it continues to go up.So something must living in the lakes,we may never know what lays hidden under the Loch Ness lake ,but there is 'something' living there.It could be a new creature for all we know! There are a number of possibilities of what it could be ,but hey.That's what keeps myths alive".he finished with a excited smile on his face."Oh i'm sorry for rambling so much,you have many other sutiors to listen to."he put the map and picture away in his backpack."Good luck finding your companion, but be careful.Myths always have a habit of bringing much more then just information." he added with a wink and padded off disappearing into the crowd of people.
