Personality [of pet]: Outgoing, clever, energetic, friendly, a natural leader. He's hopeless with girls though, and it's even worse since there never seems to be less than 5 that fancy him at anyone time. He's also reckless, which can get him into tight spots.
Background/History [of pet]: As a pup, he would always gather with others his age in the meadows and such to play and socialize. It was there that he met his two best friends, Manuel and Ryder. He and his two friends were considered as the "cool pups" by the others and their reputation grew as they did. They're always around to lend a helping paw or join in on a prank.
Use [for pet]: Use? Well, just to be a loved character, I suppose. I'd draw him, maybe write up some short stories, use him for RPs, stuff like that.

Keenan sniffed, turning to his mama-ferret. "Dook!" cried the young kit, "Story, mama! D-o-ok!"

"Shh, Keenan, hush," a soft silky, sort of matronly, voice came from the softer white ferret who was much larger, "Gather up Amaryllis and Jasper, then I shall tell a story," a soft smile appeared on the mother ferret's little face. She heard her young one squeal with delight as he bounded off, heading to the kitched to get the two collie pups. Amaryllis, the smaller of the two border collies, was like a giant to herself and Keenan, but it didn't really matter. Ammaryllis and Jasper were part of the family, like children to her.


Softly she sighed, before smiling when she heard claws scattering on the wood floor. A small bark came as Amaryllis scooted rug in front of the fire. Jasper was much more quieter, making small light steps, careful not to make a sound lest he upset the great monster in the fireplace which roared and crackled. Keenan of course climbed with some trouble up unto the couch, taking his spot next to his mother, before she shooed him off to sit with the other two.
"Tell a story of a beautiful princess!" Amaryllis cocked her head to one side, her fluff bouncing around in her excitement. Keenan nipped playfully at her foot, "A knight!" he insisted, which caused a slight quarrle between the two. Jasper took the oppurtunity, "I'd like to listen to a story of lore and scholars," he mumbled, TRYING, but failing, to not gain the attention of his 'brother' and his sister.

Ama and Keenan started to gang up on poor Jasper, but the mother ferret cut in. "Keenan! Amaryllis! Jasper!" she berated, while Jasper opened his mouth, before she shooshed him. 'I did nothing!' Jasper mouthed. Three heads were shaked at the pup, and the mama ferret spoke to them again, "I'll tell a story of all three..."


~(in which our knight is introduced)~


Long, long ago in a kingdom far faraway lived a princess, a heiress to the caretakers. To this princess in name was a knight, set to protect her. The knight was a cheeky little thing, often getting the princess in more trouble than getting her out of it;; but the princess would not hear of replacing him as he was her darling.
Every day, she would take him out to the plains, in which the great winged singer would cry to him secrets of tomorrow in a cryptic language. They would play, even when the gods had cried down, or when they were angry and veangeful.

His name was Keenan and he was her protector.

~(in which Amaryllis interjects

"When will you tell of the princess?!" the pup interrupted, laying her large fluffy head on her large paws. Ama's eyes twinkled and she lay excited, waiting for the matronly ferret's answer. She ignored Keenan who seemed rather peeved at her and Jasper who shot his sister a glance of annoyance. Mother ferret lifted her little head up, "Hush, I was just about to get to that part!" she spoke, before looking to the fire, which crackled and burnt, smelling of home.

~(in which the princess and the scholarly prince are introduced)~

Two young pups sat, squabbling in a large ballroom made of ceramics and glass. Next to them stood a rather stout schnauzer, or full grown age. "Young mistress, young master, please stop this, you are making a mess," the protector of the two pups spoke rather firmly, yet he still seemed rather calm in his composure.

"Nooooh! Amaryllis said that magick isn't real! It is it is! How do the great magicians of stories cast such magnificent spells without magick?! She is wrong and lying!" the rather annoyed male pup growled, while his sister flopped her paw at him. "Magic isn't real doofus!" barked the female rather loudly, "Jasper needs to stop reading fairytales! He'll never be a proper prince like this!".

This argument on for a bit longer, which Jasper, the male, getting more and more angry, starting to insult his sister now. The schnauzer merely sat and watched and when the two pups were out of breath, he spoke once more, "Young mistress, young master, if you will. The King and Queen have called, do not keep your parents waiting!"

Chestnut loves to play pranks. He never goes to far though. He would hate to hurt anyone. He's very outgoing and loves to have fun. None of his pranks are seriously harmful and make great stories once they're over. He refuses to prank Sugar Shy, a small filly in Ponyville. He's oddly very protective of her.

Chestnut has lots of friends. He gets very upset and confused if somepony refuses to be his friend. He loves to hang out with his friends. His favorite place to be is in the park. There he can meet lots of new ponies, and hang out with some of his friends at the same time.

Many ponies call Ches the 'Invincible Chestnut', because he never gives up on a challenge. He often volunteers to work at stores for free, just because it's the nice thing to do. He can be very giving and helpful when given the opportunity.

It doesn't take much to make Chestnut upset or confused. He likes for things to go the way he wants them to. If things don't go as planned, he has been known to angrily stamp around like a little colt. He may throw a small tantrum, but in the end he calms himself down, if Sweet Rose hasn't already calmed him.

Once he's set on something, Chestnut won't give up. It's nearly impossible to distract him from his current task. He gets very angry if somepony stands in his way. When he gets his most determined, it's most likely because he'd helping a good cause.

Ches loves to flirt and hang out with girls. He tries to act 'cool' but normally makes a fool of himself. He has a 'crush' on a few fillies, but most likely none of them will get anywhere. But that doesn't stop him from hanging around fillies and trying to be sweet to them.

Ches likes to wear sunglasses and will do anything to save his reputation. He think that he's the coolest pony in Equestria. Most of the other colts and fillies agree. Everyone loves Chestnut. He idolizes Lucky Bug, Sweet Rose's friend. He loves the idea of flying and hopes to one day find a way to join Lucky in the skies.

Hey everypony. My name's Chestnut, but you can call me Ches. I'm here to tell you my story. I was born on a cold winter night, just outside of the Everfree forest. My mother's herd was there at the annual birthing grounds. My mother, Almond, is a reindeer. My father is a pony. It isn't unusual for reindeer and ponies to become mates since we're so close. My mom doesn't talk about dad much. All I really know is that he disappeared while exploring. That was his job. He was a really famous explorer named Brave Heart. Everypony thinks that he's dead, but deep inside, I know that he isn't. One day I plan to go looking for him with my best friend, Sweet Rose. Sweet Rose is a pony that runs the local flower shop with her parents. We've been friends for a really long time. Back to the story, I was always the strongest of the newborns. My mom called me her little leader, although I don't plan to be leader of a herd anytime soon. My herd stayed near Sweet Apple Acres for a few months so that we could grow, but it wouldn't last forever. To soon, the herd was going to move on. I didn't want to leave, though! I had made far to many friends in Ponyville. I liked being a pony! My mom told me that she secretly agreed. She was part pony too, and she had always felt accepted with ponies. The morning the herd moved on, we made our decision. We were going to stay in Ponyville. I was so happy! I got to stay with Sweet Rose and all of my other friends! Currently, me and Sweet Rose are planning a trip to the last place my dad was seen. We're going to try to find him! I'll update everypony on our progress soon!
Cutie Mark Story [of pet]:
Chestnut has always loved berries. They are his favorite food. One of the things that all reindeer foals are taught how to do is gather berries. They even have a festival with fun berry themed contests! Ches decided to enter them. The first contest was berry picking. The contestants had to pick as may berries as thy could in three minutes. He won! The next contest was berry eating! Ches won that one, too! Throughout the day, he won every single contest. At the very end of the day, his cutie mark appeared!

May has many different quirks to her; you really have to get to know her to
get the full meaning of her personality. Many a time you can find her singing
to plants or searching for 'something'- you will know what that is once you read
her history.

May is not one that likes to talk to others. She mostly keeps to herself, almost
in her own world full of others that actually try to understand her
instead of immediately labeling her. And since many a times May has
gotten stressed and has often found herself dwelling on the fact she has
no friends, May ignores the ache of loneliness in her heart and heads on
to a bright future.

confident

Whenever May feels doubtful or that she will never live up to her dreams, she tells
herself how gifted she is to even have a live, and that she wouldn't be
who she is right now if she ever accomplished her dream. Nevertheless,
this method of self-therapy can make her over-confident and unaware
of her surroundings, making her helpless when she feels that she can do
anything when she really cannot.

solitary

Since May is never really walking around with a bunch of friends, she has learned
to enjoy the solitary life, and not to be bothered by being alone the remainder
of her time. May isn't really a big social one, and enjoys spending her time
thinking about how she is going to move on and how she is going to live her
life. May finds that she is more comfortable when she is alone and able to do
what she likes; she feels helpless when she is being watched, and being stalked
would be a pathway to insanity to her.

nomadic

May doesn't like to settle down in one place, and when goings get hard for her in
one place she just moves to another. May isn't in one place for over a month,
maybe two if she really likes it. Very rarely, Mayflower may come back to a
previous home she enjoyed or she knows; on multiple occasions she has
returned to a small dug-out burrow that was previously the home of a badger.

Mayflower shook the water from her pelt, ignoring the cold water as it seeped under her skin. Yawning, May let the warm morning rays of sun as they warmed her pelt. Padding through the shadows, she crept unnoticed through the large field of underbrush to a towering city that lay before her like a great metal maze, and from within erupted such a commotion May had to force herself to get anywhere near it. Dreading the time when she must enter the massive network of buildings and streets, May pushed through the field and emerged in front of the city, her ears aching from the burst of sound that broke through the surface of the town. Taking a deep breath, Mayflower leaped onto the fire escape and into the city.

May padded across the crumbling brick window ledge, not daring to look down for the city below swirled with uncountable dangers, including dogs, humans, and many a horrible machine. May climbed down from the building, choosing a dark alleyway to land on the ground, and she peered out int the streets from her hidden position.

A rough hand closed around May's torso, knocking the air out of her lungs as she was swung into a marketing cart. "Kitten for Sale! Kitten for Sale!" the man screamed, attracting multiple little children that seemed more intent on poking and prodding her than actually buying her. Nipping at the children's hands, she managed to get mot of them to stop, but some kept on poking her stubbornly. And of course, May snapped. Screeching, she tore a long gash across a little boy's face, leaving him to scream off in terror. May wasn't feeling so confident anymore...
