He/she got it because it's the rules, and that's how it is. It's actually luck, because if you are on when nobody else is, and a new litter is released, then you would obviously be able to get it.

If you don't have any, you can adopt one from the pound if it says that only people who don't have any creatures can adopt.

That's right. I told you that I was going to post one right before I did and you didn't manage to get it. It's not my fault. This thread is a "first come first serve" one. You can't reserve, unless it is a breeding and you own one of the parents. Sorry but you'll just have to wait.
