First off I really love your kitty it is very cute!!!
Second off I don't think she/he meant it in that way although I can see how it can be offensive. I think the best way to handle the situation is by educating everyone on the facts. It is a myth that most people get confused with and in all reality it isn't the sweets that cause diabetes. Eating to much sweets causes people to be overweight which can put the persons at risk for type 2 diabetes.

woah.. o.O .. that was.. interessting.. Sorry if my drawing offended anyone or made people turn against each other.
The meaning with calling it 'diabetes' is because of the slang: Its so cute it will give you diabetes.
I know a lot of people with diabetes, and i know very well about the course and that some people are born with it, other get it later in live because of diet (or other things)
i can take the drawing down, or chance the titel if you want to. I just meant to make a cute picture. Not making people yell or fight .___.
