Zver you want:
#CC7
(I edited it slightly, hopefully
you'll realize why later, when you read below. ^-^)
Name:
L ᴀ ᴇ ʟ ɪ ᴀ
Reason you want it:
Firstly, she's really quite gorgeous! (Like all the others~) I've been stalking this thread
for a while, looking around to see which caught my eye,
and CC7 really attracted me. Her colour scheme is simple
yet elegant - I love purple and blue! Her design is
very nice and complements her immensely.
CC7's design also gives me a rather insightful
look at what her personality, as I view it, is like;
graceful and dignified. Purple is often representative
of noble creatures, and I can imagine her being all
respectful yet respected herself. Almost instantly
I can see her dainty, fawn-like grace, trotting at a
brisk pace across an open plain, or bounding fleetingly
fast through a secluded area, attempting to escape.
Secondly, her personality base appeals to me more than the others:
I mean, all of this batch of Zvers' personalities intrigue me,
but I have to admit - I adore CC7's brief fragment of her personality.
Not only does her appearance match completely,
but I am truly a sucker for gentle, shy, withdrawn characters.
(It'd be great if she could be my first Zver with such a personality ;;
to be honest I just need one character such as that for a species as
unique as this, and I'll be satisfied and most likely go for the other
personalities that are just as special)
P.S - Is that a miniature star I spot on her shoulder?!
Oh my. Truly wonderful, 'tis~ ♥
What will you do with it if you win?:
Alright, I'm going to be completely honest here.
I will, if I can find enough space on my siggy, place here there.
If not, I will try to put her on my character thread,
though my character thread has a template for each and every
character, so it can get really very tiring to update it
for each adoptable. ^^; I may or may not get around to it,
but rest assured I will. Eventually. xDD
I might do fan-art of her, though I'm not too good at
different species. I'll more likely commission art instead
of doing it myself. Now, to the writing component:
I'll probably do at least one one-shot, though since I am
quite museless at the moment (and have been for a while...),
don't expect too much from me. Things will be forced,
even if it doesn't seem like that. xD
However, I like to think myself fairly skilled in the art of graphic-making,
and you can look forward to banners/avatars/graphics featuring her c:
I may or may not do a short story, but if there's ever a roleplay
that goes at a nice, natural pace, I'll definitely sign up with her!
Personality:
Despite her darker appearance, CC7 is fairly gentle and has an almost shy disposition.
She's not likely to attack, prefering flight over her fight instinct.
However, when put in situations where she has no other options, she will fight tooth and claw to escape,
leaving her attackers a mangled mess. -- Bear
CC7, or, shall I say, Laelia, is introverted and withdrawn, the latter
mostly due to her duration in captivity. It has become hard for her to trust
someone new, seeing as at first she was more curious and intrigued rather than
fearful once she'd been captured; but after days, which turned into weeks, soon becoming
months on end of captivity, she realized that she wasn't going to be released any time soon.
Or at least, there wasn't any notions nor plans of doing so.
Though she was always rather compassionate and amiable, whenever she felt
that she was threatened and becoming too close for danger for her own good,
she'd lash out fiercely: in self-defense, she reassured herself. She always would
berate herself after such attempts, but deep down, a wiser yet sadder part of her knew
that it would, at times, be necessary. And always would be.
However, once she was finally freed, she could show her beautiful side once more.
The side of her that craved respect and sweetness, one that cared and gave
incessantly; the kind, empathetic side of her. Her coat, allegedly 'darkened' during
the time of her captivity, became brighter once she had been released, almost as if
a light now shone within her, a sign that she'd found a true companion,
a real friend whose understanding and loyalty to her would remain unflagging throughout time.
She became more playful and imaginative, often going into la-la land,
and could demonstrate her creative side more often. Laelia absolutely adored the arts,
especially music and drawing, though she'd been confused as to their purpose
at first. She was also quite interested in Science, the intricate workings of
its' nature never failing to give her a complex mystery that she'd ponder over for
several moments before solving it or leaving it.
The violet Zver is extraordinarily intelligent and clever, not just
displaying her smarts, but also her capability to be wise and trustworthy.
Sometimes she sounds much, much older than she actually is,
whether this is because she absorbs information quickly or just processes it swiftly
is unknown; though it has been noted that she's quite capricious and
perceptive.
But not everything is bubbly and pure after her escape, of course not.
There are more than a few times when she's been caught with a solemn, serious
demeanor, a brooding expression on her face. Whenever that happens,
it's clear that she's thinking back to the darker days. When disbelief, hopelessness
and tension was taut in the air.
She knows better than to mull over that too much, however,
and with the help of her new best friend, who knows? Maybe she can be free
of those mental shackles of her past, finally shake them off and put on
a brave mask of optimism.
Introduction/Story:
'Play these strings,'
Well, it looked like another downer. Though these days such occasions
were rarer, they still happened. No, 'downer' didn't refer to rain.
In fact, she knew that Laelia loved rain. So it wasn't that, not at all!
Exhaling deeply, the former professor tapped the coffee table with her
well-manicured nails, contemplating the events that'd led up to this strange but
exquisite friendship. It was like a bond she'd never had before, something
that would never be shared.
Just you and me.
'As we start to sing,'
Her life was relatively comfortable. She'd settled down with one of her
closest, truest companions - wait, scratch that. Her only soulmate.
Not romantically, but soulmate as in their lives were entwined.
She could practically feel it; their tight, inseparable, unbreakable bond.
Mostly it made her feel safe and warm, but very, very rarely it stifled her.
She'd never admit it though.
Also, Evannia protected her from her harsh, cold past. It could
become brutal at times, when she remembered how it'd been. Caged up.
Treated nothing more like a lowly beast.
Evannia had made her see that she was worthy of much more
than being treated like a disobedient dog, that she wasn't a hopeless
case who should be given up on. That she needn't be completely insecure
and that she had more than several redeeming qualities.
It still chased her, though. Like a dark, restless ghost.
'All in harmony,'
After gazing vaguely in the direction of Laelia for some heartbeats,
she sighed and rose, heading towards her room, which faced the sea.
Which happened to be exactly where Laelia's head was turned.
A noticeable, if subtle, smile crept onto her fair face as she hesitated
for a brief moment. One step towards the salty sea and maybe
she could console her dear friend.
... But, no. She knew better than that.
Swiveling around, she nonchalantly rolled her neck and
winced as the action triggered several sore areas to respond
painfully.
'Words don't fail me,'
Sensing her human friend having went up to her room,
Laelia sighed, partly in relief, partly with anxiety. She could hear
the faintest strains of a CD recording of someone playing the cello
in an orchestra. Normally cellos weren't extremely distinguishable
from all the other stringed instruments, this was a particularly special
piece; one that featured the cello especially.
Obviously, the orchestra wasn't very big.
Continuing to stare out at the wide, dark blue sea, she wondered
what lay in its' inky depths.
The answer was anything and everything, really.
'As I tell the tale,'
Picking up her treasured, aged violin, she tenderly
stroked its strings, content that it was tuned accurately.
Deftly handling the bow, Evannia checked that there was enough
rosin on the horsehair and then, precise as ever, jutted
her arm out at a sharp angle, preparing to play along with the CD.
Providing a wonderful accompaniment, if you may.
'Of her haunting melody,'
Dainty ears pricking up, Laelia knew that she could
never, ever get old of Evannia's violin playing. It was
something she was extraordinarily passionate about: you could
really feel the emotion being conveyed through those notes.
For someone who was usually so stoic and calm, the Zver
admired her for finding an appropriate way of releasing
her pent-up feelings whilst simultaneously creating beautiful music.
Her vision began to blur as she skipped backwards into time once again,
her heartstrings still being tugged by the high, eerie notes that spun
tales of sadness and loneliness, set in a grand, desolate place.
Somewhere that'd been abandoned long ago...
Though she still reacted to the music strongly, Laelia
felt herself slipping away, numbing as the memories rushed back.
After all this time?
Always.
'Her tears will fall,'
Managing to see Laelia close her eyes,
obscuring those two, still pools of midnight momentarily,
she knew that she was going back in time. Evannia
let her, knowing there was nothing she could do now.
Though it cut her to her core, all
she did was simply lift up her bow once again and
start playing the violin.
Perfectly flawless as ever.
'Her eyes are like a gateway to her soul,'
Shuddering, Laelia was no longer in a pretty world filled
with nice, comforting things. She was back in a dank compartment
that neatly trapped her. Even the air here was full of
anguish and desperation. Struggling was no use.
It'd been the second course of action she'd taken, and for all she knew,
the only thing she'd achieved through that was to waste
away her precious energy.
'And when I find that I can't sleep,'
The last few bars faded away as the CD also stopped along with her.
Raising her bow as if to continue with one last improvised line
of the melody, Evannia shook her head and groaned mentally.
She was really too weak, no? Maybe it was a good thing,
it showed that she truly cared for Laelia.
Or maybe it just showed that she was weak. Too weak for this world.
'She'll come and play for me,'
Huh? ... Hmm?
"No, I don't want to wake up... Stop ... Please!"
Those words came out, utterly weak and vulnerable.
Yet she was being embraced. What? Why...?
Of course. Evannia.
Opening her eyes, she realized she was back.
Again.
'Her song so beautifully.'
Tearing up, those translucent, minuscule balls gathered
at the corners of her eyes before finally one
managed to trace a transparent path down her
cheek, the only one which'd successfully broken through
her resilient defenses.
Hugging Laelia tightly, Evannia repeated what she
always said when she couldn't bear her Zver to be hurt anymore.
"I'm so, so sorry. You can't come to terms with it today."
A short pause.
An addition.
"I'll always be with you and I really don't want to
let you go. Not again, not ever."
And she meant it - with all her heart, sincerely.
