Characters: Seheza, Carora
Seheza sat beside the moonlit pool with a heavy sigh. Why didn't anybody like her at all? Every since she had come out of Moon's My Little Vortex, she had thought she would have a lively and bright future, befriending many Ahz and learn from them, and playing with her human companion Moon.
Yes, Moon was a kindhearted human; she was nice to her, and brought her tasty treats and played with her, and spoke to her. The two would go for walks and games, and Seheza had great times with Moon. However, whenever Moon wasn't with her. . .she felt an odd, dark feeling of depression.
She didn't know why, but nobody really liked her. Whenever she neared, the other Ahzenai would shy away, sulk, turn their noses pointedly, or simply ignore her very presence.
At first she tried to be cheerful and speak to them, ask them why they wre being so odd. But as time passed she grew depressed and lonely, and stalked the shadows, walking with her tail drooped and trailing on the floor.
This day was same as the others; she had said good-bye to Moon who had gone to her home, and was sauntering in the forest. She wondered which Ahz would be kind and friendly enough to speak to her, but of course, nobody had ventured near her. Maybe it was because many Ahz had cool, devilish, evil markings while she had gentle and dreamy henna markings. She liked herself, but obviously, others weren't too interested in her.
She lifted her head to see a few Ahz pass by. She heard them whisper excitedly: "There's a new Ahz!"
Despite herself, Seheza felt a tremor of excitement. She followed them, running swiftly throug the forest towards the Vortex. She had reached it in time, and golden light shimmered out, with bold black streaks. The human and Ahzenai watchers 'ooed' and 'aahed', and Seheza stood in the outcrops, her heart fluttering in curiosity and hope. Perhaps this Ahz would be the one to be her friend.
She watched in awe and amazement; unlike other, graceful and dignified Ahzenai, this one leapt out of the vortex in a manner somewhat like a frog, with joll, bright eyes.
Happiness. Humor. Seheza longed to have a friend who had those traits. Perhaps, Moon could have this Ahz as Seheza's best friend. . .after all, Seheza needed one. Dearly.
The human suitors chatted happily and spoke to teh new Ahz in various, appealing ways, and Seheza went bravely through the crowd to teh yellow and black Ahzenai. SHe could now tell it was a female. A very, very lively and jokesome female.
"Hello," said Seheza softly.
She wasn't sure the Ahzenai; Valcyon called her Carora; had heard her. The crowd was very loud, and Carora seemed very excited and jumpy. However Seheza continued in her best voice.
"Hello, Carora." she said more loudly. "I'm a lonely Ahz who has no friends for some reason. I'm currently depressed and down. I think you can help me come out of this sad, hopeless state. Will you be my friend?"
She waited, her heart fluttering like a butterfly, her eyes shining with new hope.
However she wasn't too sure Carora did hear her; Seheza was a poor chocie for a friend, she knew that, however desperate she was. So she dashed off through teh forest and to Moon's home.
Breathlessly, Seheza knocked the door hard, and Moon came out, her eyes bewildered.
"Seheza?"
Seheza nodded impatiently, and motioned for Moon to follow. Curious, Moon followed her Ahz friend's lead and the two bolted through the forest and the grass, towards the Vortex.
Thankfully, Carora hadn't chosen yet. The future suitors were still there, and Carora was still there too, with Valcyon.
"Oh," said MOon understandingly. "You want Carora. . .as a friend."
Seheza nodded gently, in gratitude that Moon understood.
Moon nodded to Seheza, and inspected Carora; a funny, yellow and black Ahz. . .
<my narration>
I watched Carora looking around at the people. I wondered what I could do to earn her interest. Obviously, pranks were the best way to grab her interest. Not too mean, not too strong, but jolly and funny enough. So I walked up to Carora; I had to improvise a joke.
"Hi," I said as cheerfully as possible. "Seheza wants to have you as a friend, so here I am. . .wait, if this is boring, I can make a joke. So. . .do you know what a kid of a melon and a collie is called? A melancholy baby!" It wasn't that funny. Okay, maybe it was, but not too strong.
"Did you like that? I can also, uh. . ."
I remembered that I had a mini-water gun in my pocket. I had played with my (human)friends with it, and it was fortunately loaded.
"How would you like to see a bunch of soaked, annoyed people? You like that?" without waiting for a response, I took the watergun out and sprayed water all over the excited crowd. The water was pretty strong so the people yelped and were soon soaked and terribly furious and annoyed.
"Sorry, people," I apologized quickly and turned to Carora. "Did you like that? Did you? If you do please, come with me, I will provide a huge bunch of fun to you." I said with a humorous smile on my lips. "Also, I think you'll really like Seheza. SHe's quiet and shy, but she's a nice Ahz. So, Carora, I would be happy and funny if you chose us for your companions. The choice is purely yours, please tell me if you have chosen." I finished, looking at Carora, my heart thumping loudly.
