Short story/description of them returning to Ahzen:
The trees lightly bended and bowed as the wind picked up, rustling and shaking, their limbs heavy with leaves. Crickets chirped persistantly, competing with the high-pitched droan of the cincadas, determined not to be out done. The forest of Ahzen came alive as the moon rose high and replaced the burning sun, its pale rays barely touching the canopy. Sounds and calls of many species echoed through the thick trees and branches, seemingly coming from every direction of the darkness.
"So much noise these earth creatures make." Bright green irises glowed from the dark, slowly rising from the ground till they almost touched the canopy. The forest creatures suddenly went silent as Mahkrae emerged from the night, his serpentine body gliding effortlessly over the ground.
"I should be there already...I have never been late." A low growl rumbled through his chest as he walked,
"I'm not going to start now." After almost another twenty minutes of travel, Mahkrae's head rose from the brush into the clearing, his nose twitching from hundreds of suitors that have past through. He sent a rolling ripple down his body, making his striped scales rise and fall to loosen any fallen leaves.
"There's so many...", he mumbled as he slid his long body from the cover of the forest. Despite his massive size he approached the crowd with silent steps, his ebony and ivory talons barely scraping over the grass and stones. Mahkrae craned his neck and head to look over the crowd of suitors towards the Vortex, his blind green eyes falling on an old grey Ahzenai. The dragon's head perked slightly as he examined the presence of the old Ahz, his nervousness from the numbers of the crowd suddenly washed away.
"He seems to be just who i need.", he grinned to himself as he rose, tucked all six of his wings tightly to his sides and snaked through the crowd, not touching a single being as he moved with an other-wordly grace.
After he appeared at the front of the crowd, he slowly approached Ukiel, looking upon him with blind eyes.
"Valcyon." Mahkrae rumbled, bowing his head to the leading Ahzenai. He then turned and once again lowered his head, showing the utmost respect for these creatures as he readied himself to speak their language, both as a leader and companion.
"I am Mahkrae, lord of the Star Beasts.", he rumbled.
"I haved traveled to the land of Ahzen to seek guidance from someone wise in the ways of this earth. Ukiel of Ahzen, i humbly request your asistance in this endeavor."
