Name:
Amarwen
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Amarwen is a bit of a loner. She does not care much for the constant chatter of groups, or the suffocating, compactness of crowds. Amarwen also shows a bit of an independent streak. She does not like to rely on others for help or be told what to do. She chooses her own path, makes her own plans, and decides how and when to act. Amarwen comes off as cold and distant at times. She does not talk much, but when she has to, her words are blunt, short and sweet.
However, Amarwen is not cruel or mean. She will not turn a blind eye towards young ones or other creatures involved. She can be a fierce fighter when she needs to. She radiates calm and surity during times of panic and fear. Amarwen is also a bit of a wanderer. She travels from one place to another with no destination in mind and goes only were her feet take her.
Story:
Her paw sunk into the freezing snow with a muffled crunch. Her dark midnight, purple fur was buffetted with wind and large, stinging snowflakes stung her nose and eyes. She plowed on, however, refusing to let this..storm turn her from her path. She wasn't cold, if anything she was a little warm due to expanding her muscles just to stay upright in the powerful winds. The purple fire that was her element that blazed hotly along her spine also added to the warmth. A small smile of satisfaction formed on her maw as each snowflake that touched the lavender colored fire disappear with a hiss. It was a small victory in defeating the snow that was blocking her path.
A sudden gust sent another flurry of snow into her eyes and suddenly she was engulfed in darkness. She let out a small hiss of frustration as she shook her head to clear the frost flakes from her face. Her scarf fell back into place around her neck and she looked at it in annoyance as she realized what truely blinded her. Her annoyance changed to fondness as she looked at the well-worn cloth. It was a light lavender color, much like her own element color, and it was the softess fabric she ever felt, even after years of traveling. For a few moments, her mind drifted to another time, in a much different place..
---
The little kit padded after her much bigger mother, her blue eyes wide but fear made her silence. Behind her, the screams and yowls of fighting were drawing to terrifing silence. From the way her mother was leading her at a steady, but tiring pace, she knew her Pride had lost.
Her mother paused, allowing her exhausted and pawsore, cub to catch up. The cub collapsed with a weak and sad squeak, her body shivering a little before going limp. Her mother, her body covering in scratches and bites of battle, collapsed as well. She touched her nose to her daughters, a smile on tired and weak face. "I am proud of you, my brave little one." She murmured softly, the normally blazing hot element along her spine, dimmed low.
The cub looked at her mother, her blue eyes fearful but knowing. She watched as her mother unwound a lavender colored scarf from around her neck and placed it across her cub. Her chest rumbled with a purr as her dark cub snuggled under the soft fabric. The cub stayed there, her blue eyes never leave her mother, even as the last of the fire died, and she was engulfed in darkness.
---
Her body shivered, and she pawed hatefully at the snow. Her blue eyes blazed along with the fire along her spine. Hot tears formed on the corners of her eyes but she was refusing to let them spill over. Refusing to show that one weakness. Even if her only witness was the icy whiteness of the blizzard. She ground her teeth and forced her paws. She wasn't giving up just yet, she was still plowing on. Trailing behind her, the scarf flailed in the blizzard's might.
