Number: 5

Name: Ragnok
Species: Eastern Stone Dragon
Personality: Ragnok is an odd fellow. He seems intimidating and he can look cold-hearted, but once you get close to him and really learn about him, you'll find out that he's not such a bad guy. He loves to travel and he has a strong passion for it. He also loves the clam peaceful forest that roam the land around the world. He loves to just sit in the heart of the forest and sit there, listening to the wind in the trees and the voices of the animals. Eventually, he will awake from his dreamland. But be warned, he does not age. He can never be found in the same place. He has a big heart that's filled with passion for everyone, but there's also room for sadness in it. He hates the fact how he doesn't age, while his friends do and they slowly fade away like dust in the wind.
Likes: The quiet and serene forest, traveling throughout the world, the friends he's made over the many many years.
Dislikes: The fact that, he does not age. because of this, the friends he makes do not live as long as he and fade away. It saddens him.
Background

When Ragnok was first made, he was made long before man had become evil and cold hearted. He was made by the hands of a genius. A simple man who had extraordinary skills and powers. He crafted Ragnok and then with his powers, he painted signs of life on him. Using the color of yellow to represent light. Thus, Ragnok was born. His creator taught him how to live and how to remain pure of heart. Ragnok learned readily and finally, he received his name. Ragnok, for the stone. Time passed and Ragnok happily lived the few years of his life in the woods where his creator had built his home. But while Ragnok did not age, His creator did and soon, he died in his sleep.Heartbroken, Ragnok stayed by his dead creator's side for three days, mourning. Finally, he buried him on a small hill encased in light. There he breathed blue fire over the hill and a beautiful white willow tree grew.

Ragnok then left the only place he knew as home and traveled out of the woods and into the world. He saw many strange sights, but the sights that saddened him the most was how war constantly was between humans. He yearned for a time of peace. Ragnok found a beautiful mountain side that had a small forest with a mountain stream. There he sat in the heart of the forest and listened to the sounds of the world, trying to block out the pleas and cries of pain. Finally, after three years, Ragnok woke to find a young boy sleeping at his feet. The boy had scars from battle and multiple ash marks across his face.

But he slept peacefully. Ragnok sat by the boy for three days, watching him and studying him. All the while, he slept. Until one day, the boy awoke. When he awoke, he noticed immediately that Ragnok was alive and watching him. Frightful of the stone dragon, he froze like a deer caught in the headlights. Ragnok assured the frightened boy that he could do no harm to him. The boy instantly was relaxed and he studied Ragnok himself."Your designs are amazing..." The boy had whispered in awe. Ragnok's eyes had softened. "They mean life. my creator drew them on me so that I may have life and see the world." Ragnok whispered.

His eyes saddened. "But the world is not beautiful in some places. War ravages time there." he whispered. The boy shook his head furiously and, surprised, Ragnok listened to the words that came next."War isn't everyone dragon. In other places, we humans live in peace and work together. We create war so we can remember that were only mortals. We are not god." The little boy had said, staring Ragnok straight in the eye. Ragnok stared at the boy in awe. Then very gently, he breathed blue fire over him.

"Blessed are you child. You shall create peace where there is war. And you shall lead where there is no leader." He whispered softly. Thus, the two became friends. The boy's name was Sylther. Sylther then left and returned to his war struck home. Ragnok, already missing the young boy, left that forest, traveling to a different forest in the world. This one was thick and dense and had many shadows. But Ragnok found a small clearing where light filtered through the green leaves, creating a beautiful scenery.

Ragnok stopped there and he sat down, listening to the world. Finally, he drifted into his dream state and soon, he stood still. When he awoke once more, Ragnok realized that the sounds of war were gone. In fact, there were no sounds of humans at all. In the eerie stone silence, Ragnok warily left the forest and investigated. What he found, made his heart drop to his toes and tears spring to his eyes. The humans were gone. Gone from the world and the world they had left behind was ravaged from war. it's natural beauty destroyed to reveal terrible fields of death.Ragnok searched the lands he had been to, but found so sign of humans anywhere.

Then at last, he found them. No, not them. only one. It was the boy, Sylther. He was a young man now. Tall and leader-like, he approached Ragnok warily. "Ragnok? Can it be?" He had whispered. Thus, Ragnok had broke into a huge smile and danced around the boy while he laughed a booming and reassuring laugh. "I thought you had left!" Ragnok laughed, weeping tears of joy. Sylther had given him a huge hug and then smiled softly at him. "No my friend. Alas, I am the last human on this world. I stayed behind, hoping to see you one last time before I departed. Now my hopes have been fulfilled." Sylther said softly.

Ragnok stood in front of the man, sorrow creeping into his eyes. "Good bye, mighty Ragnok. 'Tis the last day I see of you. Remember me, and I shall live. Remember me, and I shall perhaps, one day, return."" Sylther had said, sadness creeping into the etched lines on his face. Ragnok sighed sadly. "You are not a boy any longer. I shall remember you Sylther. You shall be remembered within every line of my stone body. Do not forget me." Ragnok had said. Then, without a backwards glance, the two turned and parted ways.

Ragnok, saddened by the departing of his friend, wandered the lands, searching for a suitable place to fall into his dream like state once more. But alas, he did not find the perfect spot in the land he knew so well. Filled with even more sorrow, he left the land, flying over the calm and blue seas. Finally, he reached the land across the seas. What he saw, made his heart beat with joy. The land across the seas was beautiful. War had not touched this area and no humans lingered here. Ragnok, overjoyed, instantly began his search.

It was not long before he found it. There was a large yellow meadow. A small hill sat in the middle of it and the soft wind constantly made the meadow sway. On the top of the hill, he sat down, gazing at the beauty before him. Slowly, his eyes closed and he entered his dream state, becoming stone. For 50 years, Ragnok sat there, his eyes closed and his body seemingly made of stone. The designs on him had faded when he had become stone. Finally, after 50 years, he awoke. When he awoke, Ragnok gazed around him.

The scenery had not changed. It was the middle of spring and the sun was shining brightly. But like all things, change had touched this part of the land. Before him, stood the mightiest beast he had ever seen. They were larger than a normal wolf. Their bulk was mostly muscle. Fat was not common among the Wolf-Riders. Ragnok moved and he studied the Wolf-Riders, unaware of the fact that the sleeping curled balls were studying him as well. Ragnok walked around the group of Wolf-Riders, gazing in awe at there size.

They were the size of large houses. Then he saw something odd. In the middle of the Wold-Riders, there was a smaller ball. It was surrounded by larger balls of multicolored fur. Ragnok, curious, he moved forward, but instantly, Two Wolf-Riders were standing in front of him, there eyes narrowed and the message clear in their stiff shoulders and bristling fur. Ragnok froze and the two giant Wolf-Riders flanked his sides and they led him into the ring of Curled balls of fur, which suddenly stirred and awakened, standing up and stretching, their eyes never leaving Ragnok.

Finally, The two Wolf-Riders stopped and Ragnok zeroed his attention to the massive ball of curled fur in front of him. As the ball uncurled, his jaw dropped. The Wolf-Rider in front of him was massive! His muscles bunched as he stood up and stood in front of Ragnok, towering over him.The Wolf-Rider's leader or alpha stared at him, finally, he spoke in a deep rumbling voice. "Dragon.

We saw you as a statue on the hill. yet here you are, alive and breathing. How is this possible?" The Wolf-Rider asked, cocking his head slightly. Ragnok gulped. "My creator. He drew these designs on me that gave me life." Ragnok breathed. The Wolf-Rider leaned down and sniffed Ragnok, drawing back sharply in surprise. "You smell ancient and of magic." He said, surprised. Ragnok could hear the undercurrent of awe in the leader's voice. Ragnok couldn't help but let his gaze wander. Instantly, his gaze zeroed in on something that stuck out among the large Wolf-Riders. A beautiful sandy colored Wolf-Rider with icy blue eyes gazed at him. She had a splash of white under her muzzle that ran under her belly and beneath her tail.

But what stuck out about her, was she was half the size of the other Wolf-Riders. Ragnok dragged his gaze away from her and he found the leader watching him curiously. "That is my daughter, Selerene."He said, his eyes sharp and intelligent. Ragnok swallowed and looked at the leader. "My name is Ragnok. May I ask, what are you?" He asked shakily. The leader laughed. "My name is Syltherin. We are Wolf-Riders." Ragnok's heart beat painfully against his chest as he remembered his first friend, Sylther. The leader's name was very close to it. The leader must of seen the pain and sorrow in his eyes.

"What is wrong, ancient one?" he asked, his voice deep. Ragnok sighed. "I had a friend, once, who name was similar to yours. He is gone now but...." he sighed and turned towards the leader. "Why are you here?" He asked, trying to change the painful topic. The leader sensed this and he grimaced. "Their is an evil beast lurking near our home. He is a giant. Larger than us. He looks like a wolf, but he has the fangs of a saber toothed tiger and half of his body is made of metal." The leader said. "He has killed many of our family. My daughter is the only one to have survived an attack from him. But from a cost."

Ragnok, confused, studied his daughter more closely and for the first time, he noticed that she had four scars over her two eyes. "She's blind." he said, shocked and horrified. Her father nodded sadly. "I did not wish for more deaths to fall so we traveled away from there and settled here." He said. Ragnok shook his head. "By all means stay... That's just.... horrible." Ragnok whispered. The leader's daughter, as if sensing his stare, turned to him and allowed a small sad smile.

Ragnok's lip twitched in it's own friendly smile and he realized something. He had to help these Wolf-Riders. It wasn't a matter of choice, but fate. His eyes turned hard and he turned to the leader. "Can I help you with this war?" Ragnok said in a strong voice. The leader stared at him in shock. Then slowly, a broad grin spread on his face. The leader bowed to him. "We would greatly honor that." The leader said quietly Ragnok smiled himself and bowed to the leader.

Then a broad and silly grin broke on his face. "I think.... I have a plan."Ragnok said, smiling at the leader. The leader cocked his head curiously. Then he looked at the two guards flanking Ragnok and barked something in Wolfen. The two guards backed away and motioned for Ragnok to follow them. Ragnok followed after them, the leader trailing behind him. They soon arrived at a large cave. In the back sat a female wolf with two cubs. Ragnok smiled gently at her and she smiled back. The cubs yipped and yapped as Ragnok and the three wolves sat down to one side of the cave.

The leader looked at him and motioned for him to explain. Ragnok smiled. "You say this creature's body is half metal. That means, the other half must be flesh. Also, you say he is large. Larger than you. That must mean he has a weak spot that's invisible to the eye. Like, per say, a vital vein in his neck or a certain muscle in his shoulder that would paralyze his whole flesh side." Ragnok said, excited.

The leader considered this. "But how would we get close enough to find this, weak spot? We would have to surround him and distract him. We could loose many wolves." The leader said thoughtfully. Ragnok sighed grimly. "Yes. But he's expecting an attack from the ground. not from the sky." Ragnok said quietly. Realization dawned on the leader and a smile broke on his face. Then he frowned. 'You would do this? Just to help a pack of Wolf-Riders?" The leader asked, slightly doubtful.

Ragnok's eyes grew misty as he remembered his old friend Sylther. "I would do anything, to protect this world. If that means destroying a monster at the cost of my life, then so be it...." Ragnok said quietly. The leader stared at him in slight awe. "Then it's settled. Me and my guards will provide the distraction while you attack from the sky." The leader said, ending the conversation.

Ragnok stood up and turned to find one of the cubs sitting behind him, staring at him with mutlicolored eyes. One was ruby red and the other was a beautiful purple. Ragnok was entranced. There was a small symbol on the cub's cheek and Ragnok realized it as the word meant future. "Dragon." The cub said in a strange and eerie voice. "Though you may be of stone, your heart is as pure as a gossamer thread. Don't let those control you in desperate times." The cub said quietly.

Ragnok shivered and smiled tenderly. "Gifted are you, child, to have the gift of future." Ragnok said quietly. Then Ragnok exited the cave, feeling those multicolored eyes boring into his back. He noticed the leader's daughter watching him and he went over to her. "You've met Rocku." She said simply. Ragnok nodded his head. "Yes."
He said quietly. She nodded her head. "Remember his words. They might come in handy some day." She said quietly. Then she smiled at him and walked away, her bushy tails straight behind her.

Ragnok sighed and smiled. "I think.... I just made two more friends..." he said quietly.

~ 5 Days Later in the Wolf-Riders Home ~

Ragnok stared through the leafy green leaves of the oak tree, his feet balanced neatly on the thick trunk. The Wolf-Riders below, the leader and his guards, gazed at the monster lying before them. It was sleeping of course, but even then it was terrifying. It must of been 11 feet tall and many feet wide. Half of it side was made purely of metal while the other half was flesh and bone.

Ragnok narrowed his eyes slightly and his marks glowed faintly. "Five..... Four.... Three..... Two..... One...." His count continued until he reached one. When he did, the creature blearily opened it's eyes and yawned, standing up. It shook it's huge mane and that's when the Wolf-Rider leader signaled for the party to start. Ragnok flew silently into the air while the Wolf-Riders below howled with rage and charged the stunned creature, feinting to the left and to the right.

The creature roared and tried to sweep at the Wolf-Riders, but they dodged easily, creating the perfect diversion for Ragnok as he searched form the skies the weak spot. Finally he found it. it was a tense knot of muscles in the middle of his neck right on top of his spine. It was flesh and it was his weak spot. Ragnok dived, his body whistling through the air. He dove and he bared his teeth and bit into the soft flesh of the creature, grimacing.

The creature howled with pain and agony and ran, trying to buck Ragnok off. "RAGNOK! LET GO!" The lead Wolf-Rider called. Ragnok looked up and saw the creature heading for a cliff. "LET GO!" Ragnok tried to fly free, bit his horns were tangled up with the monster's mane. Then, he jumped over the side. Ragnok could feel the wind piercing his stone body and the creature as it yowled with fear and misery. It must have been some sheer luck, but just before they hit the ground, Ragnok broke free and shot skywards.

The creature landed and was no more. Ragnok shot like an arrow into the sky and then, he flew over the cliff and landed with a tired sigh. He looked up into the faces of the Wolf-Riders and smiled. "That was some wild party...." He said, laughing weakly. He was still shocked that he had come so close to death and lived. The Wolf-Riders laughed and, riding on the back of the leader's shoulder, they ran home. When they arrived, the other Wolf-Riders were waiting for them. They cheered and howled with triumph and they all rubbed against each other, sharing their scents and banishing the scent of the creature.

"Listen!" the leader called. Instantly, the Wolf-Riders quieted down and turned to him. Ragnok still sat on his back. "This dragon here has saved our home and many lives. Thanks to him, the creature is dead!" The leader cried. The Wolf-Riders howled with joy. The leader turned to him. "Ragnok. Stay with us. Please." The leader said quietly to him. Ragnok thought about that. "I will stay. But.... I must travel. But this will be my home." Ragnok said, smiling at the leader. The leader gave him a wolf grin.

From that day on, Ragnok's true home was in the meadow where he had first met the Wof-Riders. The Wolf-Riders had decided to stay and add this meadow to their territory. Ragnok continued to travel, but he always returned. But no matter how time flew by, the cub's words stuck in his mind and ever so occasionally, he could feel those eyes boring into his back. Ragnok, being a wise Stone Dragon, headed his words.

To ts day, Ragnok still can be found, sitting in a meadow with the sun gleaming of his stony surface, the Wolf-Riders around him, howling to the sky with triumph.

I would like to adopt!
Number: 5
Picture: Image
Name: Daichi
Species: Eastern Dragon (Guardian Statue)
Personality: Over the years that Daichi has been turned into stone, he has become very serious and aloof, normaly only focusing on the task at hand. If anyone gets in his way, he has no problem crushing the, whether they are friend or foe. He rarely ever opens up his heart to anyone and he never fully trusts anyone that he meets. Underneth his cold, tough exterior, he is filled with hate and rage. He longs for the day when his curse can be lifted and he can take revenge against the gods who put it on him. He very rarely lets this side of him show, but when he does, he is very malicous, cold -hearted, and just plain evil.
Likes: Daichi likes to use his powers over earth and fire to destroy things, anything. He loves causing chaos and discord, and the thought of him getting revenge on the gods makes him feel better. Although getting summoned is something he dislikes, he partily enjoys getting to be (Somewhat) free from that stoney prison, even if it's only for a short time.
Dislikes: Daichi hates the curse that he's under. He hates being nothing but a stone statue for centuries on end, and he especialy hates the fact that he has to serve humans when he's released form that stoney tomb. Also, he dislikes the fact that he can no longer fly because, well, he's made of stone. Most of all, he hates the gods that put him under the curse in the first place. For some strange reason he has a strong disliking for humans, which makes his curse all the more worse.
Background (Optional, but it gives you a better shot): Long ago, there was once a malicous dragon known only by the name, Daichi. This name was simple, true, but the meer mention of it struck fear into the hearts of many. The reason was very simple; Daichi had a thirst for destruction. With a slight flick of the tail or a tap of a paw, he could create earthquakes that could be felt for hundreds of miles. Just one glance at a small sapling and he could set an intire forrest ablaze not a second later. He was known for a knack for chaos and his hatered of humans, and everyone knew who he was. Hated by many, but feared by all, Daichi was one of the most destructive dragons in history.
He was thought by many a demon, sent from the underworl in order to destroy all of humanity. Very few thought he was a vengeful god, come down from the heavens to punish those who would defy his godly rule. In fact, he was neither; he was nothing but a dragon with a hunger for travisty. Thats not to say he didn't milk the lies of him as a god and demon. He forced many to pay tribute to him as to spare them from utter destruction, collecting jems of all shapes and sizes along with gold and other valuables. Daichi very offten went back on his word and destroyed many of the cities and towns that he had sworn to protect out of spite; but this destruction was soon not enough to curb his destructive appetite.
Daichi eventually became very bored with all these "small-scale" devastations. He began to ponder what he could do to create more havok than ever before, an event so powerful, everyone in the entire world would feel it's fury. Daichi almost imediatly ruled out a massive fire, thinking that it could never span across continents and effect everyone. This left him with one option; an earthquake. Surely, he thought, that he could easily create an earthquake that size. It was perfect; everyone would feel the ground shaking beneth their feet, fissures rising up through the dirt below, and perhaps even see the mountains themselves crumble and fall. Through it all, Daichi knew he would be safely floating above it all, because he would fly right after he started the earthquake, giving him a perfect vantage point to see the chaos unfold below.
Daichi's plans would never come into the relm of truth, however, since the gods soon got wind of his plan. Already on their last raw nerve with Daichi, this was the last straw. On the day Daichi had decided his plan would unfold, the gods came down to stop him. "Daichi!" one shouted, "This time you have gone too far."
"Your little 'prank' could cost millions of lives, perhaps more!" Said another.
"Who cares?" Daichi shouted at them, "Most of these lives you speak of will be human; it will effect us little, pehaps it may even be better without them!"
"And yet you are willing to cost the lives of so many others inorder to wipe out a few humans? All of the creatures in this world are a valuable part of the world; no life should be spent in selfish fun." the first god replied, his voice full of concern.
"It's the price one must pay for the good of the whole." Daichi said Slyly, an evil smirk spreading across his face, "Besides, what have those filthy beasts done for this earth anyway? Absolutly nothing. If a few others die in the crossfire, then so be it."
"You still seem to think that lives are an expendable comodity. Continue to do so and life will not be so kind." cautoned the second god. Daichi let out a chuckle that quickly exploded into roaring laughter.
"You think this foolish chatter is going to change my mind?!" he roared, " Nothing will stop me from what I am about to do! Neither man nor god!" Daichi slamed his front paw down into the earth before turning it sideways; the earth began to rumble. The first god leaped into action, summoning a swift wind to lift Daichi of the ground, thus, averting danger. "What are you doing?! Put me down at once!" He roared angrily.
"I cannot allow you to endager so many innocent lives without conciquence. Since it seems very little shall shake you from completeing your goal, your punishment must be sever in order for it to take effect. We shall turn you into the element that you so love and cherish. Once your body has been turned to granet, there you shall remain. And since you seem to detest humans so greatly, serving them seems only fitting. Once you are summoned, you must do what ever the summoner asks; once his request is finnished, you shall revert back to stone. So this cycle shall go on for eternity, unless you can prove yourself to us." He raised his hands, his palms facing the sky above.
"What?! NOOO?!" Daichi roared, strugling to break free from the wind holding him in place. He was able to let out one final roar before turning to stone, holding his face in an eternal snarl.
50,000 YEARS LATER: KANON CITY, LAIROS
Yuzuki woke up to the smell of fresh sea air coming into his window and loud beeping of his alarm clock. He looked at the clock, seeing 5:30 blinking in big red numerals. This was earlyer than when he normaly got up; his 10th grade global history class had a field trip planned to the museam of historical mythology in downtown, and everyone needed to come to school eairly so they could catch the bus. Yuzuki had to get up even earlier still, since he knew that he had to wake up his best friend, Mark; he probably forgot about the field trip. Although Mark only lived a few blocks away, he also had to factor in the time it took for he and Mark to get ready, figuring that Mark had forgotten... again. Yuzuki rolled out of bed and trudged over to the bathroom to get ready.
Not fifteen minuets later, and Yuzuki was ready for his day. He walked out of his bathroom and headded for the door, grabing his mesenger bag lying in the hall on the way. Walking out the door, the mix of sea and spring air hit him like a refreshing wave. The morning was quiet and still a bit dark, but Yuzuki didn't mind; the sun was begining its slow acent into it's proper place in the sky, gradualy lighting the ground below. It seemed as though the world was slowly coming back to life around him as he walked through the streets twoards Mark's house. It was more peaceful than anyone could have imagined.
This perfect scene continued to unfold as Yuzuki walked up the steps of Marks house. He pounded on the door. A few moments later the sound of someone stumbling over furnature could be heared before a sleepy Mark opened the door.
"Goooood mornin' Yuzu." Mark yawned, "Why are you here so early?"
"'cuz we have a field trip for global today, remember?" Yuzuki replied, not surprised that his friend forgot, "We're suposed to be there early." Marks eyes widened.
"OH SNAP!! I'MA GONNA BE LATE!!!" He shouted before bolting off twoards his bathroom. Yuzuki just shook his head and sighed before letting out a small chuckle. He let himself in and sat down on the couch. He knew that Mark would be out soon; when he was in a tizy he tended to acomplish things faster. Soon enough, Mark ran out of the bathroom, his t-shirt inside-out and backwards. "Ok! I'm ready! Let's go!" He shouted, giving a thumbs up.
"Uh, I think there's something wrong with your shirt..." Yuzuki trailed off. Mark looked down. He gave his shirt an annoyed look.
"One second..." Mark muttered, walking back into the bathroom. A few seconds later, he was out once more, t-shirt fixed. "That better?"Mark asked. Yuzuki nodded. "Well, Let's get going, or else the bus will leave without us!" Mark grabbed his backpack and headed out the door, followed shortly after by Yuzuki.
The two had actualy arived at school just in time; the 10th grade students were just gathering to go on the field trip. After a few moments, it seemed as though the majority of students had come, and the teachers began taking attendance before filing everyone into the bus. Mark pulled Yuzuki on the bus ahead of everone else so they could sit together on the bus ride into downtown. As the buses roared to life, Mark and Yuzuki wondered alowed to eachother why they were riding a bus into downtown instead of walking there. The two concluded that it was most likely because the global teacher was so fat that he would colapse the first few feet of the walk; thankfuly, the teacher didn't hear them.
It didnt' take the buses long to reach the museam, since, as the two boys stated beforehand, it was within walking distance of the school. As the buses pulled to a stop infront of the building, the group was greated by a large black dragon statue; it's face was in a permanant snarl, and it looked as if it might have leaped to life that instant. The teacher hopped out of the bus first and imediatly gaugked at the marvalous statue.
"Does anyone remeber the myth that this beatutiful beast was in? Or his name at least?" He said looking around. as Mark hopped out of the bus he raised his hand. "Yes! Mark?"
"Wasn't he the dragon that created earquakes and fires? Daichi, I think was his name? Yeah, wasn't he punished by the gods and turned to stone?" Mark replied, unsure if his answer was correct.
"Yes! Very good!" The teacher praised, turning his attention back to the statue. "Daichi was once a powerful and fearful dragon with a love of destruction and a hatered of humans. He had power over earth and fire, causing forrests to burn and the earth to shake when he pleased. He planned to make a masive earthquake that would shake the entire world, but the gods stopped him before he could do so and turning him into stone. Now, as his divine punishment, he must remain encased in stone untill summoned by a human." He explained. Mark then looked purely interested, not remebering hearing about the summoning part.
"So, when he's summoned, he has to do whatever the human asks, right?" Mark asked, a sly look spreading across his face.
"Yes, that is correct. And once the deed is done, he reverts back to stone. It's said that the way to summon him is inscribed somewhere on this very statue, written in the language that's in your notes. You could probably use the key to translate, if you could find the inscription." The teacher answered, "Now, any more questions on the fearsome Daichi? No? Good, let's head on into the museam." He walked twoards the entrance as the rest of the class followed. As Mark moved along with the crowd of students, a special look came to his face, a look that showed he was thinking; and it wasn't anything good, either. Yuzuki poked Mark in the back to try and get him to snap out of it.
" Mark! Come on! If you don't focus, you'll get a lunch detention!" He pleaded. The same look stayed on his friend's face and he did not speak. Then it hit him; Mark was thinking about something involving that dragon, and something not good. This had Yuzuki intrigued now, too. He tried to focus on what the teacher was saying, but now he could not stop thinking about Daichi. Before the two knew it, the tour was over, Lunch had been eaten, and they were filing back onto the bus.
"Hey, Yuzu, wanna head over to my house once we get back?" Mark asked, aparently still thinking about the dragon.
"Sure." Yuzuki replied, eager to return to his thoughts, too. After that, the rest of the bus ride they were quietly thinking about Daichi.
The last two periods left in the school day seemed to whiz by, and Yuzuki and Mark barely even realized what was going on outside their dragon-filled stupor. It seemed like a blink of an eye and they were already back at Mark's house. Mark was the first to break the silence.
"Hey, Yuzu... I wanna see if we can find that inscription..." He trailed off.
"You mean the one on that dragon? Why?" Yuzuki asked.
"I just wanna see if I could translate it using our notes, that's all..."
"...You want to see if you can summon the dragon, don't you?" Yuzuki assumed.
"No! I'm just aplying our knowledge, that's it!" Mark retorted. Yuzuki looked at him. "Alright! I wanna see if that myth has any truth."
"I think that's why they call it a myth, because there is no truth in it." Yuzuki chuckled. Mark glared a bit at Yuzuki before going over to his backpack, getting his global history notes, and heading twoards the door.
"If you don't wanna go with me, that's fine. I'll just go by myself, and you can stay here, alone, untill I get back." Mark opened the door and began to step out.
"Wait a minuet! Let me grab my hoodie and a notebook and something to write with." Yuzuki sighed, giving in and getting up.
"Thought so..."
As the snarling head of the Daichi statue became visible against the sunset painted sky, Mark and Yuzuki quickened their pace. They knew at this time of day, barely anyone would be near the museam, making their hunt for the inscription all the more quiet... and no one would know that they were looking for it. Mark quickly broke out into a run twoards the museam, after all, he was the one most excited about it. Yuzuki just shook his head, boy, was his friend enthusiastic. Just as they reached the site where the statue stood, the sun had almost sunken below the horizon, leaving the ground dark and cold.
"Alright! Let's get searching. You got the flashlight?" Mark asked turning twoards Yuzuki. He riffled through his pockets a bit before pulling out a flashlight.
"It's Right here." He said, turning it on and pointing the beam of light twoards the statue.
"Good. I wonder where that inscription is..." Mark trailed off before heading closer to the statue.
An hour later, Yuzuki and Mark were just about to give up; it seemed as though they had search nearly every inch of the statue, and there was still no inscription to be found. No to menton that the frigid night air was taking it's toll, and it seemed that the warmth of their hoodies could no longer protect them from the wind. Mark sighed
"I give up! We've looked at every inch of the stupid thing, and there still is no inscription to be found!!" He groaned, rubbing his numb hands together.
"Let me just do one last check, and we'll go home, Ok?" Yuzuki sugested.
"Alright, go ahead. I'm not stopin' ya..." Mark mumbled, dragging himself over to the nearest bench and ploping down. Yuzuki took the flashlight and carefuly examined the statue. He started with the tail, then carefuly working his way up to the hindlegs. After finding nothing, he looked at the stomach and then the chest, shortly after looking at the inside of the front legs. He found the same thing as before; nothing.
'Where could it be?!' Yuzuki thought. Then it hit him; he hadn't checked the head. He climbed onto the base of the statue, wrapping one arm around the neck for suport, and tiptoeing closer to the head. He shined the flashlight into the mouth, and sure enough, there was the inscription. "Mark! Come here! I found it!" He shouted. He saw Mark jump up from the bench from afar, then he dashed over as fast as he could to the statue.
"Where is it? Where's the inscription?" Mark panted, out of breath from his sprint.
"Here. In his mouth." Yuzuki pointed. Mark climbed up onto the statue and took a quick look to make sure his friend was not lying. His jaw dropped before he lept to the ground.
"You found it! Now all we need to do is translate it!" Mark pulled out the note book pencil, and global notes. No wonder no one could find it; it was hidden inside the dragon's mouth. "Tell me what each of the symbol's looks like and I'll translate." Mark said. Yuzuki began listing what each symbol looked like, and waited for Mark to find the letter it stood for before saying another one. It didn't take long for the entire sentance to be translated. Yuzuki lept down from the statue.
"What's it say?" He asked, shaking out his, now numb, arm.
"It says: 'In order to release the prisoner from his cell, one must run their hand from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail while uttering the holy incantation. It is as follows:
Wild winds blow,
Fanning the ravaging flames below.
The earth may quake,
Causing mountains to break.
Release the stone
And free me.
' " Mark read.
"That's it?" Yuzu asked.
"Yup, that's it. pretty simple, huh?"
"Yup." Yuzuki replied, "Let's try it." He placed his hand on the dragon's nose.
"Wait for me!" Mark shouted, running to the other side of the statue; he place his hand on the dragon's nose aswell.
"Wild winds blow,
Fanning the ravaging flames below.
The earth may quake'
Causing mountains to break.
Release the stone
And free me.
" They said in unison. The incantation was finnished just as they both reached the tail tip. They removed their hands from the statue and looked at it; nothing had happened. Mark was just about to speak when one of the Museam security guards walked up.
"Hey, the museam's closed. You two can't..." He was cut off by the ground begining to shake. The dragon's eyes began to glow like the flames of a fire, along with strange circular markings, connected by lines, that appeared all over the dragon's body. Stone flew everywhere, and a deafening roar rose above the craking and plinking of stone flying off and hitting the ground. Mark, Yuzuki, and the security guard covered their heads to shield themselves from the flying stone. Just as suddenly as the event began, it ceased, with the last bits of stone hitting the ground with a varity of plinks and pops. The three brought down their arms and slowly looked up at the statue; well, it wasn't a statue anymore. before them was a living, breathing, and glowing dragon. It gave them a tiger like growl.
"Which one of you has summoned me?" He growled. The security guard fainted, causing the dragon to scoff slightly. Mark grabbed Yuzuki's arm and raised it in the air along with his own.
"We did." He said dauntlessly. Daichi snarled.
"And what is it that you have summoned me for?" He said, sounding annoyed. Mark dropped their hands, and thought a little bit before answering.
"We have summoned you for a very importaint reason." He finally said.
"What would that reason be?" Growled the dragon, annoyed that he even had to talk to these lesser beings.
"We want you to help us with an investigation. We're investigating the murder of his father." He said, pointing to Yuzuki. A look of shock apeared on Yuzuki's face.
"Is that all?" Daichi asked.
"No, because you also need to pose as our friend, in ahuman form, while investigate. You can't end the mission untill we find out who and why they killed his father." Mark said through the triumphant smile on his face. Daichi groaned.
"Alright. All that you two need to do is create a blood pact in the name of the gods." Daichi apatheticly groaned. Mark and Yuzuki looked at eachother.
"A blood pact?" Mark repeated.
"Yes, are you some sort of exotic bird?" Daichi questioned sarcasticly. Mark sighed and bit his thumb, causing it to bleed; Yuzuki saw what he was doing and did the same. Daichi lept off his pedistal and held out his front paw infront of the boys. "Let your blood fall upon my paw, and our contract shall be sealed." They turned their thumbs ove and dropped the blood onto Daichi's paw; the blood fizzled up into red smoke that took the shape of a bird, and it flew with it's smokey wings off twoards the heavens. "The blood pact has been sealed, and thus, our contract confurmed."

Please call me Bane!

"Outside, its tracks began to fill up with snow, and the shriek of the wind seems savage with pleasure. There is nothing of God or Light in that heartless sound-- it is all black winter and dark ice.

The cycle of the Werewolf has begun.

*raises paw* Just popping in to say that if Raiden (the lemur) gets no applications again this week, I'm taking him home with me. I thought he'd be more popular, poor dear. But I love him. So yeah, after this week you guys can take him off the list.

I would like to adopt!
Number: 10

Name: Micha
Species: Smili
Personality: Micha likes to be the dominent male out of the other smili, he will back down from no challenge and acts before thinking when he is hunting prey. He does not like to mate for a long time, but temporarily spend time with different females. He is quite intelligent, but does not know his own potential, and he can a bit stubborn sometimes when he is not the alpha male or when he can't catch his prey.
Likes: Being the alpha male, leading, catching prey, being admired, and he likes working for his family or tribe
Dislikes: Not being the alpha male, being forced to follow, and having his prey be to fast for him

Background: This story will be told from a first person point of view~
Micha was born in the middle of a dark, starless night. He was the only one out of the litter and there was a slab of mica by the burrow where his mom lived.he was named Micha as a sybol of his home and family. Micha doesn't remember much of his life as a cub, but he remembered looking up at the timeless moon as a cub. When Micha was just old enough to be on his own he roamed the endless land alone, without a tribe, without a family. He had met other smili, but never stayed with one, until he saw Arra. Arra was beautiful in his eyes. Her coat was gold with a hint of red in it. Her markings were like lines off a painting by a skilled artist, smooth and almst hypnotyzing. Her eyes were the colour of a burning hearth, and she was a graceful as a swan. He pawed over and met her, as it turns out, she liked him as much as he liked her. They had spent a few days together when the leader of Arra came back from a week long hunt. He was bigger, and looked stronger than Micha, but when he offered to deul him, Micha said yes. Micha hated looking cowardly, especially in front of Arra, his new found love. He was the first to make a move, he lunged at the leader, but the leader, whose name was Scar, dodged him quickly. Micha landed with hard impact, it hurt but he wouldn't back down. Scar jumped, but Micha colided into him in midair. The fight continued until Scar had Micha pinned to the ground, his glistening claw at his throat ready for the kill. That's when Arra came in. She leaped through the air at Scar, but he swatted her away, slashing her shoulder and slamming her into a tree trunk. She wimpered as she it the tree. Micha leaped up and went to look at Arra, her ribs were broken on one side and the slash on her shoulder was to the bone. He knew that her time was almost out so he sat by her until she died. Looking down at the lifeless body that once beheld Arra's soul, anger seared every other emotion in his body. He felt angry at himself for not being able to fend for his life, angry at Arra for geeting involved and not just letting Micha die, but mostly angry at Scar for Arra's death. Scar, who thought Micha would surrender, was apprehensively licking his bloody paw. Micha tried to sneak up on him from behind, claws and teeth ready for the kill. He lunged in the air and dug his claws and teeth into Scar's throat. Scar made a very surprised sound, then shuddered and died, torrents of blood coming out of his mouth. Micha went back to Arra's body and wept. He wept for days without eating or drinking until he realized that he would die too if he did not move on. So micha continued his travels with a broken heart. Micha cried most of the time he walked, he never stopped to meet other smili anymore, he never found joy in the things he used to. He continued until one day he collasped from the depression. He fainted right in the middle of no where. He woke up to the sight of a beautiful, gray smili. Her fur was the color of the moon and her eyes were bright purple. She wasn't close to being a beautiful as Arra, but she was still beautiful. She noticed Micha was awake and regarded him silently. Then she helped him get up and introduced herself. Her name was Shan and she traveled alone like Micha. She had found him and decided to take care of him until he was somewhat better. She also liked Micha, and they agreed to become mates. After some time, Micha and Shan had to smili of their own. The first had gray fur that seemed to glow with eyes like Micha's, her name was Hollow. The second had fur as black as the night Micha was born with eyes like Shan's, his name was Miold. They were gorgeous and were quick learners. As they got older, it was apparent that Hollow was smarter, but Miold was bigger and a fiercer fighter. Hollow would alway use a sneak attack on her prey, but Miold would use a pouncing technique. Micha and Shan would always train them at least once a day on how to catch pry and how to fight. They both became strong and intelligent smilis. As cubs, they always did things together until one very unfortunate day. Micha and Shan were watching them trying to catch a jackalope. Miold was bounding carelessly after the rabbit while Hollow was watching her step and strategically planning how to catch the rabbit. Miold was running when he fell into a ditch. The ditch was about four feet higher than Miold could jump, and the sides were far to steep to climb. He stated yelling for help, Micha, Shan, and Hollow searches and searched, but when they finally found the ditch, Miold was dead. He had launched himself as far as he could go, dug his claws into the soil, but the soil came lose and he fell backwards on his spine, breaking it and killing Miold. Micha could not take it anymore and turned away. He had lost Arra and now his own son. He decided to travel alone again. Shan tried to get him to stay, but the pain was unbearable. That night he left for another long journey. He traveled without any sleep at all, he figured he should just walk until he dies from lack of water, or fight another smilis and let it kill him. Micha decided that he no longer had a purpose to live, the fire that once burned inside him was out. He decided to finally sleep, but before he did, he prayed for Arra back, she prayed that she could live again, that they would be a family, that her wounds were long since healed, that they would be mates, and that he could see one last time. Then he fell asleep next to a slab of mica. He dreamed of playing with Arra that night, until he was awakened by a shimmering light. He saw a strange, white, glowing light coming down from the sky, and in the light stood a figure. A figure with gold fur that has a bit of red in it, a figure with eyes like a burning hearth, a figure with markings that looked like they were off a painting by a skillful artist, smooth and almost hypnotyzing. Not just a figure, but the figure of Arra, Micha's long lost love. She shimmered, her wounds were gone though. She said that she had been granted the gift of life to see Micha again since she had died for a worthy cause. She said that she had seen what happened to Miold and she told him that he was in a better place now. She also told him that his parents had both dies about three years ago from a rare disease. The light above Arra disappered, but she was still there. Arra and Micha have lived together as mate for years now, but they never had any cubs, instead they roamed the land, just the two of them. Side by side, but they still ran into problems from time to time. Although Micha and Arra had been granted the gift of immortality, they could still get illnesses and diseases. Micha got sick once, and he couldn't hunt for a week, he could just lie down and be cared for by Arra. Along with the gift of immortality came one rule, they could not split up and mate with other smilis. So the time when Micha and Arra came across Shan it was very awkquerd for everyone, and Micha learned that hollow had died in a fight with another smilis, since Arra wasn't a full angel she didn't see what happened, and the news made Micha collasp. Another time they had to fight a smilis, but since they were immortal and the other smilis wanted to fight to the death, they ended up having to kill it. Arra also told Micha of some very interesting information, it turns out that Scar used to be her mate and he thought she was a different smili when he killed her. Scar hadn't become an angel, he was forced to watch himself kill Arra over and over again, he hated the sight of it, it broke his heart, but he deserved it. Arra said that he deserved it because he had harmed her without thinking several times. She showed Micha that there was part of her tail missing by the tip of it, and she showed him a nick in her ear from Scar. Along with those, she also had a long scar along her shoulder from Scar, which was her most newly acquired scar. One day when they were traveling, Micha and Arra found a smili cub calling for it's mom. The cub was beautiful, she had red fur with a tint of gold in it and eyes that gleamed like emeralds. Her markings were smoky and hazy though. She said that her mom had ben fighting a smili, but she fell asleep when the other smili cut the back of her throat. Micha and Arra both knew that the cub's mother was dead, but when they told the cub, she didn't cry, she just looked sad and broken. They asked where her dad was and se said he had died a long time ago before she was born. They asked what her name was and she said Sorrow. After deabting for an hour, they decided to take her in. Arra had to convince Micha since he didn't want another cub. Both of his had died and he did not want Sorrow to die too. Micha had seen the dead bodies of two of his family members, Arra and Miold, even though Arra was back, Hollow and his parents had died. He also felt that Arra's, Miold's, and Hollow's deaths had all been his fault, but in the end he agreed to take Sorrow in. It took Sorrow three days to recover from finding out about her mother's death. She didn't cry, but she would sleep or go within three feet of Arra and Micha. When she finally started walking next to Arra and Micha, they noticed that she looked unusually strong, Arra and Micha had both become stronger and bigger since becoming immortal, but Sorrow was strong. When she became full grown they noticed that she was bigger than them. They finally got up the courage to ask about why she was so big and strong. She said that even she didn't know why, but she rembered her mother saying something about her godly powers or something. Arra and Micha stared at eachother, they knew why Sorrow was so big, why she never knew her father, and why she never cried. The smili had gods, three of them, one of them was Tearifey, the god of sadness, sorrow, tears, crying, and depression. It hit them that Tearifey was Sorrow's father. Sorrow couldn't believe it when she heard it, but she realized that it made sense. Sorrow was also immortal due to the fact that Tearifey was her father. She decided that she could live alone after learning that, so Arra and Micha bid their farewells to the child of a god that used to be their adopted daughter. The longer they lived, the more Micha and Arra realized what a gift immortality was. They could be hit by things and knocked down but they could feel no pain and they couldn't be wounded. Micha and Arra had experiences earthquakes, hurricanes, and other disasters, and while the smilis around them died, they were the only ones standing. Although sometimes they thought immortality was a curse. When they were challenged to fights, they always won. They could do nothing but fight until the other smili backed off or died fighting them.It was also sad to see their friends die. They occasionally would meet other smilis and befriend them, but the others could get old, be wounded, and die. They never met any other immortal smilis except for Sorrow, who they came across occasionally. Sorrow had grown even bigger and stronger, and she too had problems with immortality, but she occasionally loved her gift. Sorrow had come acroos male smilis and mated with them, she had mated with Derojo, Mikistan, and Fontuma, but like all the normal smilis, they could die. Sorrow had seen the lifeless bodies of all of them. It had broken her heart, but she tried not to think about them. On their travels, Micha and Arra usually ate small game, but they occasionally at game that was twice their sized when it tried to eat them. It odviously didn't work for the larger animal. Another thing about their immortality was that they couldn't starve to death die, from lack of water, hypothermia, or anything else. They could feel hungry, but couldn't starve. Since their immortality, their coats became thicker and fluffier, Micha's had gotten darker, but Arra's coloring stayed the same. Sometimes when they forgot they were immortal, although it's hard to forget that you can't be harmed and have to live with your mate for all eternity, the world seemed scary. The world seemed dangerous. Arra and Micha had not experienced this feeling in a very long time, even though time doesn't matter when you're immortal. No other living smili knew sbout their immortality except themselves and Sorrow. They told a normal smili once, but they had to kill him afterward. It was bloody and Arra and Micha swore to never tell another smili unless it was immortal as well. The bloddy mess with the other smili goes like this~Arra and Micha were just walking along when a smili challenged them. He said that he had been watching them fight and win against smilis and he wanted to see if they could beat him. They explained to him about their immortality, but he still thought he could beat them. Arra and Micha just wanted to go in for the kill so the smili wouldn't have to keep fighting, but the smili was faster than the other smilis they had fought. They tried to convince him not to fight, but he didn't believe they were immortal. He didn't believe them until the point where he couldn't get his teeth to sink into Arra's neck. He finally realized that they really were immortal. He asked them to make im immortal, but when they said that they couldn't he got mad and wanted to fight them. They were only scratching him a little at a time, which made him slowly and painfully lose blood. Ending up with the dead body of a smili and puddles of blood everywhere. Arra and Micha hated fighting, yet they were skillfull at it. They have been traveling together for more than fifty years, roaming the endless lands in search of nothing but happiness. Micha often looked back at himself, recalling what he was like and who he was. He remembered when he used to challenge smilis, most smilis would sneak up behind their opponents, Micha remembered doing that long ago, now he would fight head on instead of a sneak attack. He thought that fighting head on was better because he could end the fight quicker that way and the smili he was fighting usually didn't expect his approach. Micha also realized how he had used his intelligence more often. Micha had always been smart, but he never used his intelligence to fight, he thought fighting was just skill and strenth, but along his journeys and many fights, he relized that plotting your attacks and predicting the opponent's next move was the easiest way to win a battle. Micha remembered the days he used to try to impress the she~smili, he was good at it, but looking back at it, he found his actions imature and childish. Micha realized how much he had changed for the better one day, recalling his mishaps and quirks along the way had changed him and made him better. He still had a way to go to perfection, but he had all the time in the world for a perfect life. A forever life~
Thank you, I hope you like my story, it took me about a week to think up~

It's roughly a full week - sometimes it'll get extended by a couple of days if there's other stuff going on (Christmas holidays, incapacitated judge, etc), but in general I try to collect the forms seven days after the donations were put up on the front post. :3 Typically there will be a few days for donations between rounds as well, so a round might begin and end on a Wednesday or a Saturday rather than a Monday.
