Why do you want this goennec?:

I just had to go for this beauty. She is one of the most gorgeous goennecs I have ever seen. Yes, I do have a goennec named Andromeda and yes they are both female, but this little cutie is so amazing, I just have to at least try! She looks like she's from another dimension...so mysterious and beautiful...

She looks like the kind that would rather spend her days thinking and observing, rather than going crazy. I can imagine Andromeda and Siri as best buds. Siri would be a good friend to Andromeda, and they'd balance each other out. The crazy one and the quiet one. Yes, they would balance each other out.

Her colors just match how the Andromeda galaxy looks like. I simply fell in love with her design. I think the Andromeda galaxy is growing on me now...but that aside, I think I love her. I mention this too many times... But I cam't stress this enough. Space and galaxies always intrigued me because it was so simple, yet so intricate. Siri's design is clearly of a galaxy, but the stars and the colors are so intricate, I could spend hours looking at her and trying to discern images from them. I feel like I have a connection with her...oh, how I love space and galaxies.

How would you use this character?

She would be, like with any character, in my character thread and she would recieve lots and lots of love (of course...>u<). As I have a lot of stuff to do in RL (which makes me wonder how I find the time to do this xD), I can't RP with her, although I'd love to, but I would...write a story for her? She'd probably be a friend to Andromeda. I can see them hanging out, looking at the stars, watching the leaves turn color, having fun... And etcetera and etcetera. She would recieve art at least once in a while, if not whenever I feel like it.

All I can say as of right now is that you can be sure she will be adored and loved. A lot.

Personality

Siri is a more of a silent and thoughtful type. She isn't neccessarily shy though. She is actually quite out-spoken - she just doesn't believe in excessive talking. However, her ideals and philosophy just doesn't match with the other goennecs, and thus became an outcast in her little herd society. She would like others to accept her for who she is...but she's now figured out that her herd probably won't change, so she should just lay low. Some kids pester her to get answers out of her, but she doesn't reply, also making her unpopular with the kids. Siri has this eerie air to her, but is still affectionate once you get to know her.

Siri has a very creative mind. She likes to make connections with the most random things. She might connect frogs with beauty. She might also connect the subjects of how salty the ocean water is with how scary teeth can be. She also likes to solve problems with her creative approaches to the problems she is presented. However, not many goennecs trust her to be able to solve problems well, because of her reputation. But the goennecs she helped trust her to help solve a problem.

She is also careful to not burden anyone. She hates being the reason why something didn't work out. Siri doesn't block the other goennecs' ways, but she sometimes does unintentionally. When that happens and goennecs start to blame her for everything, she loses it and starts throwing mad fits. These constant fits scare and annoy the others, which adds to the eerie atmosphere around her.

Siri is on the more emotional side. Although her aloofness and crankiness may repel many goennecs to take shelter to a near-by tree, she is actually emotional to the point it's heartbreaking to see her crumple to the ground from all her emotions. She never does this in front of the others, as she prefers her reputation to remain how it is. However, she will have an emotional breakdown in her little hiding place no one has ever found. No one's ever spotted her...or did they?

Likes

Her ideals ~ Not everyone agrees, but she loves her ideals. She will defend it with every inch of her body. She does not want her ideals to be challenged. Ever. Even though she may be quiet and reserved, she will defend her position until she falls.

Imagination ~ She loves to use her imagination. However, she keeps this to herself.

The rain ~ Siri loves the rain. She likes to think that she can connect with it. She thinks the rain can represent everything from sorrow to rebirth. She also loves the fact it feels cool on her coat.

Her small hiding place ~ It's the only place she can do whatever she wants to do without being humiliated. She feels as if she can do anything there.

Dislikes

Humiliation ~ Siri hates being humiliated. She doesn't like being noticed, and humiliation is a more embarrassing way of getting noticed.

Dull minds ~ Dull minds bore her.

How would you use her:

If I were able to list all of the ways I use my Goennecs now, to show how I'd use Phobos, I'd probably die before I got halfway through. I headmate with them, I draw them, I write them, I RP them, I dream about them... I don't think there's any (decent, socially acceptable) method of interacting with them that I don't do. Phobos would be no different than that - she would join my herd in the massive expanse of my imagination.

Define your Goennec:

Personality:

Fight-Oriented. Phi has a strong fight-or-flight instinct that powers her through each and every day. She is instantly on the offensive when surprised, though this tactic is used defensively. In other words, her protection is fighting.
Constantly alert. Phi is never fully at rest. Her alertness is similar to a soldier's paranoia - ready to move at any time, to any place.
Awkward around ewes. Because of her strong paranoia, Phi is not the easiest to get along with. Really only the rams understand her instincts... ewes are, for the most part, afraid of her.
Easily confused. Phi... is not entirely the brightest in the herd. As a result of her over-alertness, she is incredibly impulsive and will often find herself in situations that leave her wondering how the mess got started in the first place.
Impulsive. As a result of all of her personality traits, Phi is impulsive to a fault. Her judgment is far too quick for proper critical thinking, and she will act (violently) before realizing just who she is being violent with.

Phi was not always this way. Before she joined the herd, she was a Prime of one of the smaller local herds, one of the few females to gain the status in the area. This herd was scattered by a massacre/coup led by rams that were disgusted by her values in complete equality, and she very nearly died. Her survival is only thanks to Delacroix's discovery of her broken, battered body - but her memory could not be saved. Phi does not remember who she was, but still experiences flashbacks (that she considers mere nightmares and is therefore tight-lipped about), as well as other symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Likes:

Attention. Phi likes getting some positive attention every now and again, as long as it's not too much at once. It gives her hope that someone might just like her enough to tolerate her.
Delacroix. Phi likes Delacroix for her heart. To her, she is the epitome of tolerance, and therefore someone she loves to spend time with. However, because of Aussie and Haldis, she rarely gets to spend time alone with the tall ewe.
Calm. When things are calm, Phi is able to relax her body more than usual. This improves her mood greatly, though most of the (saner) Goennecs still give her a wide berth.
Ford. Ford is one of the very few tall, strong rams that Phi can approach without fear. Secretly, she wishes the ram would claim her, rather than Katili, but she fears the wrath of the other ewe.

Dislikes:

Loud noises. The rams in the coup called for each other by slamming their hooves and horns against rocks and the rusty hull of a boat that she had used as a lookout point. The resulting klaxon sounds haunt her nightmares, and cause her to panic when she's awake, even if she doesn't exactly remember why.
Larger, stronger Goennecs. Phi knows that she's not the strongest or the largest Goennec, but the idea of having someone larger and stronger scares her. Weaker Goennecs such as Hatter, who stands two inches taller but does not fight at all, are not much of a threat, but Goennecs like Katili and Aussie, who fight constantly and (seemingly) tower over her, terrify her.
Panic. Mass hysteria reminds Phi too much of her nightmares, and sparks the flight instinct in her. Phi does not wish to stick around for another coup.
Secretariat. Though Sec is the same height as she, Phi is highly suspicious of the quiet ram.
Deimos. Deimos is a dark voice that resides in the back of Phi's mind. Technically, he could be considered her twin, but he never really formed enough and died in the womb. He rarely speaks, but when he does, it triggers serious panic attacks that leave her on the mend for several days thereafter.

Story:

Phi, at one time, suffered under the iron fist of chauvinistic rams in her herd. She, along with the other ewes, were forced to fight for the amusement of the rams, often times losing each other to untreated wounds. Her challenge of the Prime was previously unheard of - but as the best fighter of the ewes, she had the best chance. His subsequent defeat, therefore, was a steep loss for the rams; the ewes they once mistreated, and were raised to think of as playthings, were suddenly their equals.

They, of course, did not like that.

They organized a coup, killing all of the ewes before turning on their Prime. Phi fought back and fled... to little success. She was left for dead upon falling into the stream, and the rams returned to their land - only to find themselves condemned to dying out, with no females to carry their offspring.

Delacroix found her body washed up on the outskirts of Aussie's herd's lands. She managed to save the much smaller ewe's life, but her memory was wiped, and a dark presence had awoken deep in her mind - Deimos. He was part of her brain that remembered her name, but also the part of her mind that taunted her mercilessly, reminding her of the sensations of death - something that sits on the fringes of her mind.

I know there are those that will not hurt me. That the only ones to fear are Katili and Haldis. But I still fear the strength of Rannoch, the gentle giant... and Secretariat, who has done nothing but reassure me and help Delacroix take care of me. And... I know they fear me. I know I've hurt them... in my panic. And I'm so sorry. Goddess, I am... so... sorry....

Most of all, I fear him. Deimos... does not let me rest. I cannot escape him. I cannot fight against him. But he can hurt me... in the worst ways. I am so... scared....

I just want someone to help me. To hold me. To tell me everything is going to be okay....

Why do you want this goennec?:
I've been looking for a prime since I started applying for goennecs, and I feel like Venus would be perfect for the position. He looks strong, and his darker, reddish coloring looks like it would be intimidating to invaders. I also love how his mane is a gradient from close to white all the way to almost black.

It's also interesting that he would be my first goennec with back hooves instead of front hooves. I like the idea of my prime being unique among the herd, even if it'll probably only be for a short amount of time. xD

How would you use this character?:
Like all of my goeys so far, he will go right into my signature. I love seeing them there half the time now. Goeys are taking over my sig. Also, I'm going to draw a headshot of a goey and use that for a rotating avatar so all my goeys get love there too. He would definitely be part of that avatar.

I've said that I would write short stories and art when applying for my other goeys. Venus will be included when I get the time to do the artwork or writing. Right now, art will probably be more likely because I can work on it in chunks easier than I can write in chunks (I usually lose motivation when I write chunks of a story over time). I would add him to the rp, but I don't know how that would work since he's going to be the prime of my herd.

Personality:

Stoic: Venus is a chronic bottler of emotions. He sees his current feelings as unimportant to leading and feels that showing much emotion would be perceived as a weakness rather than a strength. He also considers feelings as a private matter to be shared only if the individual wants to share them. These emotions have a tendency to build up, causing Venus to be restless and/or fidget involutarily. He releases these emotions through running and occasionally helping his soldiers with combat training/practice.

Intimidating: Venus has a very strong, intimidating air to him. When he commands a herd member to do something, that goennec is more than likely to obey. His commands have a sharp, no questions tone, and the only one to really challenge his orders has been Damia. He rarely notices that he intimidates his herdmates, but he never uses his intimidation to harass his herd.

Diplomatic: Venus has always been good at keeping conflict in the herd to a minimum. He forces his herd members into talking out their problems if he has to, and he will mediate for as long as he needs to for them to figure it out. If he can't solve a conflict, he is likely to keep the two arguing herd members' tasks separated until he can get them to agree. His diplomacy is not as apparent when he faces members of an opposing herd. If there are invaders, Venus typically assumes they're there for a fight unless they act otherwise.

Lenient: Despite his intimidating demeanor and his sharp commands, Venus is very lenient when his herd members mess up or do something dangerous. He'll even praise someone who finds a better solution than his current orders because of their innovation and quick thinking. Damia enjoys this privilege a little too much, but Venus has yet to lose his patience with her. The only time Venus's leniency dissolves is when someone puts the whole herd at risk for their mistake (such as Damia trying to drive away a small predator and ending up leading it back to the herd). In situations where he is furious by someone's actions, Venus will lose both his leniency and stoic nature to berate the offender to the point that most of his herd members feel sorry for the individual that put them in danger in the first place.

Empathetic: Venus is really good at reading the body language and tone of other goennecs, and he often allows himself to feel those emotions as well (though still keeping them bottled within him). His empathy is almost to the point where he can actually sense emotions; however, certain actions or types of personalities can throw him completely for a loop. For example, Damia is unpredictable to him, though he can share her feelings once he realizes how she's thinking in a certain situation. Venus keeps the feelings he gets from others just as bottled as his normal feelings makes his fidgeting and need for an outlet even worse, and it's not uncommon for him to be unable to stand still even when tragedy strikes the herd.

Likes:

Running: Running is Venus's favorite emotional outlet. He loves the feel of the wind through his fur and mane. To Venus, it feels like all of the bottled emotions are seeping out of him with each step. Venus also enjoys racing others, and very rarely will let his joy show to those he's racing with.

Fighting: If running doesn't work as an outlet, fighting will. Venus prefers to fight when he is too overloaded with emotions for running to help. It is around these times when Venus joins the other soldiers in teaching the kids to fight. Venus will take the role of either helping demonstrate a move, having a training battle with the young soldiers, or being the target for those being trained. All three methods help, though allowing himself to be beaten up during training is not the healthiest for him. No one understands his true motives of training with the kids and young soldiers, but most respect him for doing so.

Storms: Venus admires and respects the power of nature's storms. The rumbling of thunder and flashes of lightning which scare most of his herd amaze him from the power of it all. Storms also give him the alone time he needs to think and reflect of whatever is going on at the time. Venus wouldn't need to run of fight off his bottled emotions if storms happened more often.

Dislikes:

Pain/Suffering of Others: Venus hates to see when others suffer. He can see all of the others' pain, despair, and sorrow when something bad happens, and he takes those feelings into his own heart. He hates the amount of pain tragedy brings and wants to keep his herd as happy as possible for both their benefit and his. His desire to keep everyone happy is what led him to become prime of the herd and causes him to explode if someone endangers the herd.

Cold: Venus hates the cold. It leaves him with too little energy to run or fight, and he is rather frail in the winter. His physical intolerance of the cold may be do to the fact he puts so much stress on his body from bottling emotions.
