Why do you want him:
First of all, I absolutely adore the Goennecs as a species, and am ecstatic that they were brought back. Hopefully, I will be able to win Theo for my first one! Secondly, when I first saw Theo, I truthfully didn't pay much attention to him, as I was dead-set on adopting a female, but after a while, he grew on me to the point where I was hopelessly in love with him! I adore Theo's design and color scheme, and everything about him, so I hope that I will be able to gather enough muse to make him my own.

How would you use him:
If I was lucky enough to win Theo, I would use him EVERYWHERE : on the role play, on my character site, in stories, and don't even get me started on all the art I would order of him! I have few characters, so he would receive even more love and affection, and would never be thrown into a closet somewhere to collect dust. I would love him to pieces, and I hope I will be able to. <3

Name: Parvati
Nickname: Vati

How would you use her: I have loved Goennec for quite a while now, but whenever I've tried out for any, I always lose inspiration almost immediately, and I don't ever get to finish a form for them. But now I've seen Parvati/Matas, and I love her so much. Her colors are simply gorgeous, and the way they are put together is brilliant. Not to mention that adorable little bow around her neck. So, anyway, if I were to win Parvati, I would spoil her silly. I would most certainly order art of her, and hopefully place her in the roleplay if I get enough time/inspiration to do so.

Define your Goennec:
Personality: Parvati is a proud, snooty Goennec who loves to get her way. She doesn't like to be talked back to, and likes to have control over others. She likes to be around the company of many others, as long as they obey her, and they aren't too much older or younger than she is. Parvati likes to be in charge, and she won't take no for an answer. She can get along fairly well with most people, as long as they aren't commanding like the is. She only wants to command, and she doesn't want anyone trying to best her. If anyone comes along, and Parvati feels they are a threat, she can become rather violent to keep her position, but this doesn't happen very often, as she can usually convince them she's the best for the job. Even when this does happen, nothing fatal usually comes of it, since Parvati doesn't have a lot of physical strength. In fact, she's actually quite weak in that field, but she doesn't like to tell others, for fear it will hurt her reputation. Most already know, but they don't want to tell her, since most of them are scared of how she'll treat them afterwards. Parvati, despite her bossiness, actually does care about many others, inside, but she doesn't like to show it, since it makes her feel vulnerable and weak, which is a never for her. In addition, she can be extremely caring with younger animals, where her motherly side comes out. She likes to be with babies/toddlers because they depend on her, and she doesn't have to worry about them becoming more of a leader than she is.
Because Parvati doesn't do much besides fuss over her appearance and tell others what to do, she isn't the smartest Goennec and can be tricked fairly easily. She does realize that she may have to work on her store of knowledge if she wants to retain her position with the others, so she has recently been studying a bit more often, but she still doesn't know very much. Besides, when she does begin to study, she can often get distracted in fixing her mane or bow, and thus doesn't usually finish whatever she was trying to do. She does not become concentrated very easily, and often gets distracted by some stray hair in her mane, and must spend time fixing it.

When Parvati was younger, she was a completely different Goennec. She was quiet, shy, withdrawn, and didn't speak much, preferring to lay low instead of initiating conversation. She was extremely docile, and would follow anyone's orders without hesitation. She would always hide, and didn't like to talk to anyone. She hated to make others work for her, and she didn't want any friends or companions, preferring to be alone over anything else.
Her parents died at a young age, but she had no other relatives, so she was forced to roam around, unable to find anyone to take her. Thus, she developed a rather bad image in the eyes of most of the public because she was always slinking around without any parents or family around her. Some people pitied her, others laughed. Neither of these two pleased her, because being pitied made her feel even more vulnerable than she already was, and it also made her feel helpless, which she wasn't...at least not quite. Those who laughed were just awful. It didn't need to be rubbed in any more, and it was already bad as it was.
After people realized she would do whatever they told her to do, she became sort of a slave. Some gave her simple work, and praised her afterward, giving her a reward, which made her happy. However, many simply saw her as a tool to get whatever they didn't want to do done. Others had begun to see her as entertainment, and they would simply watch her go about her terrible work, laughing as she would slink by, covered in mud, dirt, or trash. As time went on, her unhappiness began to grow, and she began to make a plan to leave the community she had lived in before. She ran away one night, afraid that if she left during the day, they'd follow her.
She explored fro a while, observing others, and changing herself. She developed the tendency to boss others around, which came from her frustration of having been shown the same thing. She figured if she did the same thing they did, but without all of the terribleness of it, it could help her. She also became less withdrawn and more outgoing, figuring that if she wasn't such a pushover, nothing that bad would happen again. In addition, her appearance began to make a big impact on her, and she would make sure her fur was shining, so she wouldn't be made fun of again. Over the course of a few months, she changed from a shy and withdrawn young one to a proud and haughty adolescent.
She found a new home and was able to settle down with her new personality, and find a place where shoe could be happy. When she finally got away from her past, she had almost completely transformed, though there are still some aspects of her old past that pop up from time to time. She still shows a slight fear of those who look similar to the old animals where she used to live, but even so, she is able to push that away.
In addition, she still dreams of her experiences, and sometimes wakes up believing she is still there, which can make her insecure some days. Still, she cares so much about her image in the eyes of others that she gets over it very soon, and makes sure that she wasn't suspected of doing something so "trivial" as having nightmares.

Now that Parvati has escaped her traumatic past, she has found somewhere where she can be happy and content, though not everyone shows the same feelings towards her, due to her new personality.
Of course, they would never dream of telling her.

How would you use him/her: If Ice chooses me, he will be placed in my character thread as my mascot and become spoiled. Showered with tons of flattering fan art, Ice will be used and shown in many places, ensuring that he gets plenty of attention.






Define your Goennec:
Skid... Skid... turn... skid...slip... "Oh, no!" called out Ice as he ricocheted right into a frosty tree, causing the snow gathered upon it to fall on top of his head, making him look rather like he had a large puff of whipped cream on his head. Shaking off the large pile of snow, he looked around blearily for a second then realized that his brother wasn't alongside him. "Brother?" he called. "Did you run into a tree too?" Getting up slowly on heavy limbs, he squinted into the uncharacteristically hot sun. "Don't tell me your head is stuck under the snow again!" He looked around, surveying the land, using his nose to find the path to his brother. When he saw one paw sticking out of a enormous snow pile, he chuckled. Stepping back and taking this as a puzzle, he mused over the best way to remove the snow from on top of his brother. He began to remove the edges of the pile, then knocked off the top. His brother's ears stuck out of the snow. As he continued to scrape away at the almost solid snow, navigating around chucks of ice, he started to hum under his breath. When he had cleared almost all the debris, he nudged his brother. Coughing, his brother racked his snowfogged mind for the events of recent. When everything straightened out in his brain once more, he looked up.
"Again?" he sighed, disappointed.

"Don't worry about it. It takes time and practice to learn how to skate on the ice," Ice consoled his brother.

"But you were a natural from the start," huffed his brother, determined and frustrated.

"I'm just awesome that way, little brother. Now, did I ever tell you the tale about the price of awesomeness?".....

5 Years Later
"Can you take me to the forest again, Ice, like you always do?" called Ice's younger brother.

"I'd love to, but I'm busy. You know that. I have to earn my keep now," Ice replied from the other room, staring at the mirror and straightening his leg band. The leg band... Meant to symbolize a Goennec's coming of age in his village, it also implied that Ice had to hunt with the elders and males of his village to hunt down food and gather berries for the village. Being larger in stature, he was assigned to hunt, a thought that made Ice nervous. Ice had never been that good with the bow. All the others said, "Practice and you'll get the hang of it," but something just didn't seem right when he held a bow. Like somewhere in the world, the emotions of the entire world were of kilter just because he was holding the bow. It always made his uneasy and succumb to the demons of his mind, doubt, fear, and worry.

It says you can only get one Goennec a week, correct? So if I apply for Matas (Pen Three) and get her, would I still be able to apply for Singer once hes off of hold?
