Personality: She’s a sweet and curious kit. Admires her adoptive father a lot. Tries to be tough but is too young to be serious. Wen around Krafu, she's laid back, carefree, and at ease.
Likes: Her adoptive father, Voided Abyss. Stars, the night sky, the moon, midnight, space, clouds, mysteries. Her best buddy Krafu. Tanner, who is her secret guardian. Dreaming of running through space freely. Darker colors. Owls. The "music" of the darker hours. Sunsets.
Dislikes: Twilight Saga, Miley Cyrus, the sun, daytime, big predators, birds, horror stories, zombies, losing her loved ones.
Background: Dark Matter came from a void in space, like her adoptive father did. But she is still a young kit. Dark knows not of her origins since she’s too young to remember. But she does recall how she met Voided Abyss. He found her when she came down to Earth. She was alone and he took her in as his own kit. Being a single parent, Void loved his daughter very much and did as much as he could for her. She grew quite attached to the Astral Fox. She knew she was of a different species, but she didn’t care. She had a home now and someone to care for her.
Dark isn’t even a year old yet. But she’s incredibly curious and loves “adventuring” places with her dad. Void takes her to a special place called Getsueigakure. It is always night time there. The moon never sets and the sky is always clear. Dark Matter wants to make the place their new home. Voided Abyss really wants to as well. So they may move to Getsueigakure soon.
Sometimes Dark years for a motherly figure in her life. However, Void has no luck with females. So Dark is perfectly fine being half of a two member family. She knows that someday, her father will find a wonderful vixen to love. And it will make them bother very happy. For now, she's content with her life and the fact that her father is so optimistic. She really hopes to be just like him when she grows up into a gorgeous adult.
Dark Matter's best friend is Krafu(not designed yet). He's a little Artic Wolf that she had met on the borderlands of Getsueigakure. Krafu has no specific home or family. But when he met Dark, they both knew they had found a life long friend in each other. He played with her a lot on her trips to the wonderful place where the moon never set. Void had no issues with the young male hanging around his dear kit. In fact, he rather liked the idea of Dark having a companion. Whenever they visit Getsueigakure, Void allows Dark and Krafu to play and romp and adventure as they please. He's even considered letting little Krafu live with Dark and him. It would improve the lives of both Dark and Krafe alike. If Dark Matter had a friend her age to learn from, then she'd turn out alright.
The bonds between Dark, her father, and her best friend are inseperable. Not even wild Horses could tear them apart. Losing Krafu would hurt Dark like she'd never been hurt before. And losing Voided Abyss...well, she just hopes that day will NEVER come. If it did, she wouldn't know how to go on.
There are times when Dark Matter thinks of what it'd be like to live up in space, to roam the universe freely for all enternity. She dreams of running through the endless dark places in the galaxy. Of meeting new faces in distant realities far from her own. And of seeing life go by on other planets. Voided Abyss tells her stories of the days when he ran through space, free as a Bird. She hangs on his every word. Not a single detail goes unheard by the little Astral Jackal. "Someday, I will go up there too and be free. I will run and never stop."
