In a place long since past declared unlivable by many, the deserts have seemed to reveal a new monster. Born with four eyes, and a furless head, these beasts were quite a surprise. It was soon found, though their Great-Dane size, they only prey on smaller creatures. Their mouths filled with small, jagged teeth, they were no good for tearing pieces, only for holding.
As they were further studied, it was found that they gave a live birth, to small litters of small, named kits. Young had only one set of eyes opened when born, and were found to be entirely awake with their senses.
Slowly over time, humans gained the trust of these oddly gentle creatures. They have been brought back to the city to be adopted to loving families, so they no longer have to scavenge for food.

Iopaeilies have a great like to warm, rocky places. They are mainly born into deserts in the eastern Africa region. Their homes are deep within the earth, in small caverns, dug in the warm sands. Their saliva is a sticky mixture of toxins and a sort of adhesive. It bonds chemically with the sand particles, and makes it close to stone in hardness. This allows burrows to be dug without collapse.

Male Iops are actually more placid than females, mainly keeping to themselves, until winter. As Iop's breed during the winter months, the males grow aggressive, and will literally hunt down other males. Fighting for mates is brutal and, as they only use their talons and teeth, quick. Females are normally aggressive until winter, when they begin to relax, and wait for a partner.

Iop's are insectivores and carnivores. Not much plant-life grows within the Desert, so they rely on insects and reptiles to survive. Their main source of food is scorpions. Adaptation has given them the ability to withstand stings of the venomous arachnids. The absolute favorite treat for an Iop is a butterfly, as they find the odd, dusty flavor intriguing.

► Do not edit your form. If you mess up, repost, and fast!
► You may only adopt one Iop every two days. Staff may adopt an Iop a day.
► Staff are on the high-respect list. Do not disrespect staff!
► Please try to type entirely, and avoid chatspeak.
► Do not give away Iops. If you do not want yours anymore, PM me, Ezio, and it will be put up for adoption.
► Do not alter any designs found on Iops.
► Never ask when another litter is going to be released.
► This is First Come First Serve!
► Spamming is not allowed. No "Aw, I didn't get one." It mucks up the thread.
► Auctions can be canceled at anytime.
► When buying Butterflies, you cannot ask for me to look through your trades.
► Wait until a new round is announced. If you see an unadopted litter in the centre, you cannot apply for it until it is ANNOUNCED with a gif.
► You cannot make an Iop for yourself!
► Swears and Curses are not tolerated. This is a E+ rated thread!
► You may NOT resell these pets, at all.
► You may use Iops in Iop Related Roleplays.
► You must specify a gender when adopting. Only customs may be genderless.
