I'm just going to write a short story

A teenage girl raced through the dark forest, branches scratching at her face like hands trying to grab her. It was dark, a night of no moon, not the time to be running through the forbidden forest. But she had no choice, it was this, or the death of her baby sister in her arms. She could hear the shouts of the royal guards behind her, the pounding of their horses hooves. The blood-curling screech of a startled crow rang out, sending a jolt of alarm through the young teen. The howling wind blew back the hood on her black cloak, she grabbed it and pulled it back on. She heard a arrow whistle past her ear, then another, tearing through the cloak. A gnarled root caught her foot and she tumbled forward, a jolt of pain went up her leg. Panic set in as she held the baby close, dragging herself to a large bush with many leaves. She sat back on a tree trunk and held the baby close, struggling to slow her breathing. The frustrated voices of the guards could be heard as they searched, crashing through the undergrowth. She let out a sigh of relief as the sounds became distant, and she knew that she was safe, for now. She took the time to observe her sister's face, for it might be the last time she sees it. Her sister had a cute round face with a small nose and dark hair and eyes. Her ears, well her ears were one of the things that made her different, they were wolf ears. A chocolate brown like her
hair, with some gray baby fuzz around the rims. The girl flattened them with her hand and pulled the blanket over them. The bottom of the blanket unraveled, exposing a fluffy brown wolf tail. The girl wrapped the cottony cloth around the tail as tightly as her frozen fingers could manage. The cold made her skin tingle, she tucked the baby girl into her cloak, holding her close. The distant sounds of the guards grew louder, and the girl stood up shakily and began running again. Dead leaves flew up behind her as she ran as fast as her numb legs would take her. Shouts could be heard as they spotted her, the thundering horse hooves got louder, she knew that she couldn't out run them for long. The girl had to find a place to hide, and fast. A yellow light peeked through the branches, without hesitation, the girl ran to it. Branches slapped her face as she sped past the trees, the wind howled in her ears. It was a cottage, a small one, with a sunken porch and tilted roof, giving it a lop-sided appearance. The teenager darted up the rotting stairs and lay her sister on the porch. She tucked her hair behind her ear and took one last look at her baby sister. She pressed her lips on the baby's forehead, gently, not wanting to wake her. Then the teen stood and knocked her fist on the door, she darted down the stairs and quickly hid in some bushes. The door opened and a warm yellow light poured onto the grass, a women stood there looking around. The teenager could here a small gasp, as the woman spotted the baby, she picked her up and cradled her as she disappeared in the cottage again. The teen let out a sigh of relief and ran into the forest again, she needed to lead the guards away. The pounding of the horses hooves were close behind her and she knew they were following her. Thorns tore at her cloak, holding her back. A rush of panic went through her as she fought to free her cloak from the thorn bush's grasp. The teen could see the royal guards, and the could see her. She had just broke free when an arrow went into her stomach, she fell to the ground with a strangled cry. Blood splattered onto the frosty ground, she lay on her side, struggling to breath. But it was to late, she was a goner. She stopped struggling and let her life slip away,
but she smiled, her sister was safe, she had done her deed.
